Had a Beef Snitty with Pepper Gravy, veg and mash. Delicious. Best home style Pepper Gravy I think I've ever had. Friendly, obliging service. Well worth a stop.

This is the best hotel for friendly service, staff and amazing meal selections. The meals are all freshly cooked by an amazing chef, Ann, they are healthy & suit all diets you may require, just tell them at ordering time. I highly recommend this cute little country pub on your travels or just a day out.

I ordered a special from the board- pork loin wrapped in prosciutto with honey mustard sauce- and it was quite overcooked and the sauce tasted like it was from a supermarket packet. The serving was enough for me, but quite small if you had a bigger appetite. And 30% of the dish had no 'wrap' of prosciutto. The chips were good and the small salad was fresh. Hubby's chicken schnitzel was small, cooked way too long and the "pepper sauce" was clearly gravox with extra pepper. Why is it that no pub chefs in the mid north can make a sauce? (SevenHill pub notwithstanding) Also, staff at the Riverton Hotel need some serious talking to about how to wear a face mask. Having the mask dangling from your ears and under your chin does not mean that you are "wearing it".

Great friendly staff. Vegetarian specific menu, not just "the meal minus meat" or only a salad or burger option which makes for a great change from most pubs alleged 'vegetarian' options. Meal tasted fantastic and a good size serving. Nice cold beer. Well worth stopping in.
