Large dinning area, even larger covered out side venue...inside for us. Very friendly, efficient and welcoming staff. Meals were great pub food, pizza parmi s were a hit, fillet steaks thick and cooked as requested (rare). Top marks there. Not rushed and even a coffee well after kitchen "closed". Like the way the barman had one with me.
Had lunch there. Got served old salad leaves. Ordinary food ordinary service. Just look fancy with bluh food.
Reply: you never said sorry for serving old salad??? But asking for a better review on your service?

We were a group of 18 celebrating a 90th birthday. We were in the lounge area which was nice and private, not noisy at all. We all ordered our meals around the same time and meals were served very quickly. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The staff couldn't do enough for us. There were two or three different groups celebrating that day and the staff coped very well. The hotel is a beautiful heritage building with a lovely ambiance inside.

We had my partners family's wake there. The staff were amazing despite some of the youngings being a bit naughty.
The platters of food were amazing.

Nicely refurbished old pub but extremely disappointed by the steak. For $48 for reef and beef the steak was dry and of poor quality so I didn't end up eating. Definitely not medium rare.
Overall decent environment but other central pubs in area have better ambiance and quality food. 1 staff for front bar isnt enough for service but friendly staff

Awesome live music, friendly fun atmosphere. Staff are amazing and always make you feel welcome. Every weekend without fail they have live music to enjoy. A wide range of bands play here so there is something to suit everyone, from 80s nights, tribute bands or original local artists, Sodens always delivers a good night out.
