Awesome live music, friendly fun atmosphere. Staff are amazing and always make you feel welcome. Every weekend without fail they have live music to enjoy. A wide range of bands play here so there is something to suit everyone, from 80s nights, tribute bands or original local artists, Sodens always delivers a good night out.

Sodens is an awesome pub with a great atmosphere. Sodens is the best live music venue on the border. They run an open mic night for local musicians to get up and play a few songs. The crowd is always very encouraging and supportive. The service is excellent. Food is delicious and the live music is great. Without a doubt my favourite pub in Albury/Wodonga.

We often go to Sodens for the live music and a meal. I always enjoy their food and have never had any complaints other than it fill me up. :) Some times you can expect to wait a while but at a busy time when any place has hundreds of people in I think that is quite reasonable. If they are flat out, don't be upset, make the most of it to enjoy the chance to chat to your friends. The food won't take all that long and is worth the wait. :) It is a great place to catch up with friends or to hold a function and they have a good range of live bands there, both local and from Melbourne or Sydney.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sodens Hotel and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The venue caters to all types of guests. From couples to families or individuals just looking for the perfect place for a memorable experience.

One of the highlights of my visit was the live music performances. The tribute bands that played at Sodens Hotel were absolutely incredible. They captured the essence of the original artists and had the crowd dancing and singing along all night. The energy and talent of the musicians were truly impressive.

The service at Sodens Hotel was also top-notch. The staff were all friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that every guest had a great time. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. Whether it was helping with recommendations or attending to any requests, the staff were always efficient.

The combination of great music, excellent service, and a lively atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience.

My wife found this place while she was walking around our accommodation.
When we got tap beer in the hotel pub, we noticed the hotel is looking after their beer tap appropriately. The beers we got were one of the taste beer ever. Also the staffs were kind. We were feeling like this is how the hotel has been stand for long time in the Albury area. The food were also enough amount to fill out my hunger and the taste is good. All my family were happy with this hotel pub.

We are on holidays and came here for lunch. While the food was great, I cannot say the service from todays bar lady was the same. I just have no words for how rude she was. No hello, no acknowledgment, it was what do you want. It seems we were bothering her cup of coffee and phone scrolling. Totally couldn't be bothered serving us. We left as soon as we finished our food and drink to go elsewhere.

Very surprised about this place, the beef n reef was delicious, staff were friendly, the range at the bar is bigger than most, and everyone of all ages was having a good time with the band playing music we all knew....

Excellent service,food is really nice

We have been coming for dinner regularly, but gave it a break for a few months. Now back again and very disappointed. Our favourite, the spring rolls are flavourless and gluggy. They used to be home made flavoursome behemoths, now puny sticks. The satay chicken skewers were dry, as was the steak. The flathead tails were great.

Brought a cajun porterhouse from here for dinner. Asked for medium rare, looked appealing, had a bite into my steak was very watered down. Tasted as if they'd cooked a frozen steak to medium rare. Got home not two hours later and started spewing my entire immune system up. Not ideal, wouldn't recommend. Thought the price of the meal I ordered would entice them to cook it properly. Obviously not, will not be returning.

Hired the Stable Bar room for my mums 90th birthday. We were so happy with the venue, the food and the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, the staff went above and beyond in making the day successful. They were always checking if everything was ok and they had had a great sense of humour. Everyone commented on how good it was. Thank you for making my mums birthday special.

Ate here last Sunday for lunch, one of the best chicken parmies I've ever had...the steak dianne sauce too was absolutely incredible...

Sodens took in our 33 guests for a 30th at half an hours notice, after our pre-planned booking at another venue fell through last minute. They pulled out all the stops to create platters for our group - including gluten free and vegetarian options - and put us in the private courtyard. They also refrigerated our cake and helped to plate it up. Amazing effort by all the staff, especially Rochelle, at making sure we felt welcome. The platters were fantastic, and fed our whole group.

Our party's planned dinner was cancelled 15 minutes prior to it planned service time. We made an emergency call to Sodens, and they had us looked after. They pulled together a function menu for all 33 of our guests and provided us with a great private courtyard, so we could remain together, all in under 90 minutes. The manger and staff were really welcoming, and we even got to enjoy the great entertainment they had on the night in the main bar.

The best pub in Albury. A great family pub during the day for meals, all racing and sports. Saturday nights are the best. Always have great bands playing on weekends.

Had lunch recently here. Their lunch was 1/10 of capacity. It was not busy.
Incredibly slow service, even just for soft drinks despite multiple staff.
They missed a main meal so one person had to wait until most of us has finished our lunch before they started.
There was no background music or atmosphere. I asked when I ordered my drink but nothing was done.
We had to clear 3/4 of our own plates after a few being taken and nobody coming back for the rest. Understandable if they were busy, but they were not.
Band for the night were setting up directly through lunch service, which was disruptive in particular when they were testing their lights. You would think they would set up before or after lunch to minimise disruption.
Sodens is nothing like it was a few years back. It had a vibe, friendly and motivated staff and was bustling. Unless something changes, I won't be back.

This place looks unassuming from the outside but once you enter everyone is super friendly and welcoming. We had the Gourmet Lamb Pizza and the Grilled Barramundi and both were well worth the price - the serving for the barramundi was huge! Would definitely recommend this place - just bring your appetite!!

Went here for dinner last Wednesday 28/07 I had the mouthwatering pork Belly and my partner had the delicious Barramundi. Both meals very generous. Both meals Gluten-free. The service in the restaurant and the bar was delightful as always. 😊

Nice venue, however, the owner was so rude. She was drinking and smoking with patrons. She then yelled at those who weren't wearing masks and threatening to kick them out despite us complying and stating that we were going to get one. Would not recommend.

Large dinning area, even larger covered out side venue...inside for us. Very friendly, efficient and welcoming staff. Meals were great pub food, pizza parmi s were a hit, fillet steaks thick and cooked as requested (rare). Top marks there. Not rushed and even a coffee well after kitchen "closed". Like the way the barman had one with me.

We happened upon another pub before hand that was deplorable. Landed at Sodens to second to none service, extremely attentive to nutritional requirements, competitive pricing and a clean, comfortable and quality venue. Thank you so much for making our hard day easier.

Great meals and atmosphere. The kids love the play area, just remember to have some gold coins for the games on hand. One of our families favourite dining out places.

Nice looking venue but food lets the venue down. Kids Bolognese tasted odd, 2 of our kids couldn't get any, and adults chicken Schnitzel wasnt good quality and crumb was thick. My flathead was nice but should be as was from a box. Pretty average food venue!

Excellent bar staff, that nice a people I asked for a job .Outstanding, 1yr on,reassessment of service and lunch time meal .Exemplary, Chicken Parm second to none.Have that with Veg ,it for finish,flavor and value. It can't be beaten.Congratulations to the staff.Sodens , today, best in 36yrs

Almost gave up on eating out In general in Albury and was delivered a ripper pub lunch meal. Great service. Cheap, filling and great tasting meals5 stars will be back
