This Pub is absolutely incredible! Definitely my favourite in Mount Gambier. The Food is absolutely amazing and the Salad Bar is to die for!!! You can't go wrong. It is a bit pricey but at least it's worth it and you won't go home not feeling full. I haven't tried their bar or pokies but the environment is great. Plenty of space to sit. There's even a free playground for the kids to play on so it's perfect for every occasion. Highly recommend.

Just spent $150 on the worst food I've had!
Ordered two 16 hour slow cooked brisket and sausage, pork ribs and a pork belly. The brisket was dry, the sausages raw and the pork belly not cooked long enough with chewy soft skin!
Do not recommend this place at all!

We often eat here. My kids call it the "playground pub". It's their number one choice of places to eat. I also highly rate the salad/veg bar. Always a good variety. Lots of tables and although can be quite busy, meals come out fairly quickly. Staff also go above and beyond to be accommodating. They even decorated the table for my daughter's birthday, which was a lovely surprise when we arrived.

Went to the front bar for dinner. $25.00 parmigiana and pint with all you can eat veggies and salad. Friendly service, tasty food in a nice setting. Enjoy

Bloody great food, I had the smoked brisket and sausages. Huge meal and so good ??'?

I was looking forward to trying the R&B board, the 16 hour cooked beef ribs and brisket. This is a huge plate of food! This can easily feed two.
Unfortunately, the brisket didn't survive the reheating and was quite dry, however the ribs were good. The salad bar selection was good and the pub seems to be popular with the locals.

Had the seafood platter. Was absolutely amazing. Going the chicken parmi tonight. Feeling confident I won't be let down.

Pretty busy for a Monday night. Had the warm Thai salad with add on of Grilled Beef. Plenty of it in my bowl. Needs a new dressing with more flavour as all i could taste was bottled citrus and mint

Fantastic. Excellent meals quick and easy to order. Fully stocked salad bar cold beer on tap and the kids are all entertained with the playground. Simply amazing

Had a great family dinner here. Good range of classic pub meals as well as a great salad and roast veg bar. The kids devoured the slow cooked pork ribs, which were juicy and meat cooked perfectly. Grilled fish was also great. Salad and veg bar has a good range of options. Servings are generous and prices are very reasonable. Some good local house wines available by the glass. Service is quick and friendly and the dining hall has a good buzz about it.

Food was good, came out fairly quick at the start but by the time everyone got there meals some were nearly done. we had 8 at our table and it was Christmas.
Again I know it's busy at Christmas and staff work longer than usual and it's hard to keep smiling, this is why I didn't rate to hard. Thanks guys

Good food: everything we ordered was delicious: roast of the day (pork) was juicy and tender, crispy chicken wings, schnitzel should be renamed from large to enormous, add lots of healthy options for sides (from roast vegetables to variety of salads, unlimited refill).
Very quick and friendly service, reasonably priced.
All around good place to eat 10 out of 10.

Great playroom, lovely beer garden (excellent heating), nice choices at salad bar and fairly priced.

If I could get any message to them, it would be this: The first time I had their cajun chicken, they served it with sweet potato chips... I was quite honestly the best meal I've ever had! When we next visited the potato had been replaced with mashed potato and it was devastating! Now I look at the menu on the website and the cajun chicken may have been removed all-together? Say it ain't so! :'(

The food ordered was top notch. Sadly the person employed to plug in and turn on the bain marie full of cooked vegetables must have called in sick. Well cooked and tasted great, but the veggies were as cold as a mother-in-law's kiss. The only detraction.

Staff were great..service was quick and meals were nice. BUT...yes it was busy and yes I know it's family friendly but the poor staff have to have a child policy. Kids running constantly, squealing, playing chasey amounts the tables and running with food. I absolutely know it's the fault of the parents who didn't take any notice...and it was more than one table....but I hoped that staff could at least ask them to stop running ..they had to dodge small naughty kids while handling full plates of hot food. Had to leave... probably won't go back...

Very friendly staff, great family friendly pub. Quick and efficient with getting our meals out, love that we can order and pay all from our table. Amazing prices. Highly recommend. Thankyou for an amazing meal, kids loved the playground area.

Unfortunately the food in this place has gone downhill. Last month two meals was burnt and uneatable.
Went back today and again was disappointed. Meals came out at different times. We had to ask for two meals, that seemed to be forgotten. Schnitzels were over cooked and dry. The garlic prawns looked like they were slapped together.
Highlight was the salad bar.

Most friendly and kind staff here in Mt. Gambier. The night we went was fully booked out. Busy, but staff were patiently introduce the menu and assist with the salad bar. Food were nice with great potion, excellent value with taste. In the kid's area they've got the brand new indoor playset and some game consoles. The machine were all well cleaned and maintained.

There was an issue with our table booking on a busy Saturday night, but the amazing staff made sure it was rectified, had our group seated within 5 minutes and were deeply apologetic for the lost booking (thanks Doc and crew). Food was delicious, especially the RnB and very well sized. Will definitely be back to this great venue for the fantastic food and awesome service!

We ate at the bistro for lunch and my husband ordered the lunch special on char grilled rump at $30. Huge steak but unfortunately he couldn't eat it as it was poorly cooked, tough and he said he wouldn't even give it to his dog. Gave a 2 star as the staff were very nice ...The best part of the meal was the egg salad in the salad bar. My fish meal also at $30 was just edible

Lovely clean room with a great comfortable bed. The room was nice and bright with a view from the bedside window. A nice quiet position off the main road at a very good price. Will come again.

Very disappointed. Ordered the R and B to share. Looked good upon arriving at the table, three thick slices of beef. 3 or 4 ribs. Curly fries. Coleslaw. and dipping sauces. The beef was truly awful. Tough and uneatable . Ribs were better. People at the next table had the same and they said it was pretty ordinary.

We called rather late to book a 6pm table, and got the last table, but we were told "in at 6pm and out by 7.25" as the table was actually booked for a 7.30 seating. We were received by some very friendly staff and ordered our meals promptly, the kitchen staff were made aware of the time constraints and our meals were delivered in record time, hot freshly-cooked and delicious! We actually had time to enjoy the meal & drinks without bolting it down and needing to run. Very happy!

Always a great meal, staff are usually friendly but tonight went for tea in the restaurant and we were a bit disappointed In a couple of the waitresses/barmaids being a bit rude and blunt. Very unfortunate as every other time I have been there over the years it's been a great place with nice staff members that make you feel comfortable and welcome. Hopefully the 2 on tonight change their attitude for the businesses sake.

Decent meal and nice pub with friendly staff. Ordered the full size chicken schnitzel. Schnitzel was cooked well with a nice crumb, chips were a bit undercooked and the salad had no dressing.

Awesome place for food. we enjoy all the food ordered. chicken schnitzel, Vietnamese salad bowl, Garlic prawns, garlic bread and herbs, chicken wings.... all the items was delicious. We all enjoyed it..

Had the R and B deal. I found the ribs to be a bit dry, but the brisket was fantastic. A friend said the fish was excellent.

Kids meals are decently portioned and priced, and the kids playground was an added bonus. Overall positive experience.

Awsome food

Walked in ordered a beer and a meatlovers pizza, sat down and within 10 minutes I was eating. Best pizza I've had for quite a while. Definitely worth it.

Great pub food and reasonably priced, large portions and fresh. The salad bar was well presented with many salads to choose from. Service was friendly and meals served to table within 15 mins. Atmosphere casual and relaxed.

I enjoyed my meal at this Hotel, but maybe fir a kids meal fir a roast, it would have been nice to have had a roast potatoe, as I had a kids meal roast of the day, with no roast potatoes, the roast pumpkin wasn't cooked through all the way, mine was hard as, I could barely cut Into my piece of pumpkin, ( in edible ), my roast Pork was dry, but I did enjoy it, the gravy was nice too. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his meal he had a adults roast of the day, well that was a lot better than the kids serving. I mean seriously, the rolls were fantastic & warm when they arrived at the table I was impressed with that. Would I visit this Hotel again, yes I would, gladly. These photos are my meal & my partners meal. You can see the difference between the two meals, I did enjoy my meal thoroughly though, a very good meal over all. I would give this Hotel maybe 4 ****
