We had a wonderful 21st birthday celebration at the 'Room with a View' function room. The room was perfect for our party of around 50 people. Service was terrific, the food was substantial and delicious and Susan was brilliant to deal with in the lead up to the event, and also on the night of the party. I would highly recommend St Andrews Hotel for any function, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Made a last minute booking and was greeted with the warmest welcome.
The food is just delicious and the atmosphere is calm & sophisticated.
The service is so warm & friendly. I felt like I was returning to a friend's house.

We celebrated a family lunch for our daughter's baptism. The room was perfect for our small family event. The staff were exceptional, very attentive and accomodating. Our guest were raving about the food. Overall a great place to host a small function.

a group of my girlfriends and I had lunch here on the weekend and I cannot recommend it enough. The venue itself is beautiful and the food and cocktails were amazing. The service was fabulous and everyone was so lovely. Special shoutout to Holly who took amazing care of us, made sure my meal was celiac friendly and just had the loveliest, kindest energy.

What a great dinner! We started with a round of cocktails, which were perfectly mixed, before moving on to appetizers and mains. The food was excellent - perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a very nice aesthetic with great music making for a lovely overall dining atmosphere. I would highly recommend this location. Can't wait to come back!

I visited this place a few times, quite a few years ago... but, since then, it has been totally refurbished and gone a little bit up-market.

Now... it is a very comforable and sophisticated: bar / restaurant.

The decor, lighting, music & atmosphere are all great! The food and drinks are excellent... and the staff are very friendly and attentive, too.

We celebrated our daughter's 15's birthday and it was just fantastic. The Room with a View at the St Andrew's Hotel was just the perfect place for the occasion. The food was delicious, all our guests were delighted with the menu, the steak just perfect. The attention also was outstanding. Our big thanks to all St Andrew's staff, to Jasmin and Susan, for making that night as we wanted to be and as my daughter dream it.

Fantastic place, everything was perfect. Jasmin our host was helpful, and took care of everything beautifully, the staff was also attentive and professional. The food, simply amazing, definitely the chef paid attention to our requirements and gave it a thorough thought to the menu, everybody at the event was amused by the food.

We had booked to have our wedding at St. Andrews Conservatory in October 2020. Covid got in the way of that and we had to reschedule a couple more times. Susan (venue manager) was so understanding and accommodating. We felt so well looked after and knew we had chosen the right place to have our special day.

Unfortunately, we couldn't have the wedding we had hoped for with the restrictions in place and so postponed our celebration. The venue held our deposit without any question. Once we were able to arrange a special meal with our nearest and dearest, we got back in touch. Again, Susan was so lovely, prompt and professional in communication and always happy to help.

We finally had our special meal a couple of weeks ago and the staff were amazing! So professional, knowledgeable, friendly and fun. The food was incredible and the drinks menu had everything we wanted.

We would recommend this venue for anything from a big wedding to an intimate meal. We will be back!

An excellent venue for a function. We held a Christmas party in the Room With a View at the hotel. The space was lovely, the food was delicious, organising the event was made easy with the help of the venue manager, and staff on the day were great.

Hosting an event at St Andrew's Hotel was an easy and pleasurable experience thanks to all the staff. From my very first inquiry, I was offered friendly and professional service. Every attention to detail was covered in advance of the event that we held in the "Room with a view". We arrived to find everything as we had been promised ... the fire was on, candles lit and staff ready to provide drinks and food to our guests. Drink service was fast and the food was delicious. Our guests were super impressed and our daughter felt that she had been spoiled on her special day. Thank you to everyone involved.

I booked the private dining "Room with a View" for my daughters christening and I am so glad I did. Organising everything was so easy, staff were thorough and went through all the little details to ensure a smooth night. On the night, service was fantastic. Staff ensured every guest was well taken care of all night long, the food was lovely and there were options to suit everyone. We all left super full and happy!

We recently had our engagement lunch at St Andrews Hotel in Fitzroy in their "Room with a View". We had a fabulous day! The team were so lovely to deal with, professional, friendly and organised. The food was excellent with very generous portions. The room was a lovely size for our party of 24 with a great view on a perfect Autumn day. I would definitely recommend this space for any small-medium functions.

Enjoyable restaurant with pub style food. For guests dining in, if you want to avoid surcharge on paying with card I would recommend bringing some cash.

Great place to have an event. I had my own birthday party and attended another birthday party at St Andrews and everything was perfect. Food is great, drinks flowed and the customer service is legendary! Great job team!

We were celebrating a birthday - two adults and a precocious boy in a wheelchair. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming; the staff were terrific; and the food was fabulous. Great value.

It pains me to write this review. I was a massive fan of St Andrews Hotel (then known as Pumphouse Hotel) - for years, my tradition was to visit with my brother to celebrate, and we would order the Pumphouse Burger. It was always impeccable. I am a massive burger afficianado, and have tried over 100 different burgers from here and around the world; I have always felt that the Pumphouse was criminally underrated and underknown, and should have ranked amongst the rest of Melbourne's burger royalty.

However, fast forward to a few weeks ago. I brought my friend for a highly anticipated post-lockdown meal. Despite the impressive proportions remaining, the burger patty had barely any flavour. It seems the chef has been replaced and has changed the recipe, as it better resembled a rissole rather than a burger patty - there was no meaty flavour; rather, it tasted watered down with other bland ingredients used to bulk up the thickness.

On the upside, the remaining burger ingredients were excellent, and the onion rings & chips were as good as before. The 666 Pink Lemonade jug was delicious, refreshing and great value. The service and atmosphere were warm and inviting as always.

I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously so I can once again return to this storied establishment.
