I am an Alpine person, but not any more. I have been drinking and eating at the Star this week and they have been awesome. 6 of us tonight for dinner and we all loved everything. the staff are brilliant... just control smoking in the outside dining area please. We have been coming to Bright for decades and the Star has never been better..

The most amazing roast dinner! Good enough we drove 3 hrs to there last week for dinner!
Lovely staff, drinks just right.

Pub was fine. Good location. Staff great. Food was average at best. (Dry, a bit over coked). Had 7 meals in a group and was a common theme.

Food was fine and quick to table however to be told when ordering "oh the kitchen doesn't like change" when requesting the removal of an ingredient from a dish, is to be contrary to the entire concept of 'hospitality'. However this pub is not alone when adopting this mindset as the local brewery in Bright seems to have succumbed to it as well.

As a customer paying top whack for a pub meal, I'd expect a more gracious kitchen.

Nice spot for a drink outside on the corner of the Main Street. Bistro decor could do with an upgrade and better kids area. That aside my prawn tacos were 10/10, good spot for a pub feed.

Went here for dinner. Very simple menu and food arrived within minutes. Unfortunately, parma was dry and a bit overcooked. Salmon meal was saved by the accompanying sauce. Sad to say that we wouldn't come back.
