Awesome venue for live music or whenever you're just wanting a night out! Tommy and Nate make you feel safe and comfortable as soon as you enter the venue and are always happy to have a chat and a laugh with you! Bar staff were super friendly and hospitable too. Definitely one of my favourite spots in Melb!

Worst audio quality I've ever heard at a gig. Couldn't hear the mics if you were round either sides or near the bars, and audio was funny and crackly even right in the middle of the room. A/C was very intense some areas and not working at all in others, and the stage lighting wasn't great half the time. Staff were all lovely. Overall there are much better venues in Melbourne or even the inner north, like the bergy, yah yahs, and laundry bar.

PLEASE NOTE: I'm not giving food zero stars for bad food - I did not have any food while at the venue so I cannot honestly give an answer.

I was at Stay Gold for the two Badflower shows and could not fault the sound tech, the bar staff, the security staff (making sure I was comfortable regularly as I have a spinal injury), and the people at the show. Night one (sold out) went off without a hitch, and staff made sure I was safe inside before my taxi arrived then walked me out to my taxi.
Night two there was an incident with a few women in the audience and security were on it straight away. I was an assigned photographer for the night and ALL staff went above and beyond for me again to ensure my safety while I was doing my job, as well as keeping people out of my way so that I could do my job when not sitting on the stage as it's a small venue (400 capacity) so there was no barrier for the photo pit.

Honestly one of the best experiences I've had in the live music scene with 14 years of experience in the industry.

I had an amazing time at Stay Gold Brunswick in Melbourne! The friendly staff made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in, and the overall vibe of the place was incredible. The venue itself is awesome - perfect for a great night out. And I can't forget to mention the pizza from Ollie's Pizza - absolutely delicious! Every bite was so yummy. I'll definitely be back for more good times and great food. Highly recommend!

We attended Stay Gold for the Lana Del Ray night the previous Friday and left disgusted by the behaviour of the bouncer. It's obvious by the previous reviews that the management of this club supports abusive behaviour and harassment by the security guards, as nothing as been done.

My friends had forgotten about a small empty mini shot bottle in their bag while in the line-up before entering the club and due to this the bouncer banned us from ordering drinks at the bar. Understand we should have thrown out the mini bottle, however this does not mean he can harass and yell at us in an aggressive manner. He also yelled at my friend in front of everyone on the street to empty her water bottle and got mad that she dropped water on her own jacket?

When I tried to order a drink at the bar, I wasn't allowed to either and was told I was 'guilty by association'. It's a very strange and just weird place. Vibes are completely off. We ended up leaving early despite having brought tickets and spending our money elsewhere.

If you're female, do not support or attend this place for your safety - instead go to the Cornish Arms down the road, where the vibe is so much better and there is super nice (and normal behaving) security guards 😊
