Stillwater Restaurant And Stillwater Seven Accommodation

Gorgeous venue. We stayed in room 2 which had an amazing view. So close to the gorge and with the most fabulous restaurant it's hard to beat.
The best part was the attentive staff.
We will be going back soon.

Stillwater was the best culinary experience my wife and I had in the Launceston area.
We shared the entrees: prawn dumpling and quail, which were amazing. Particularly the quail was incredibly flavourful and a fun mix of textures.
My wife then had the wagyu rump, which I had a bite of, and we both settled on it being the best beef we've enjoyed on our Tassie trip.
The wine I was advised on (chardonnay) paired incrediby well with the fish of the day I had (pink ling). The way our friendly waiter described it sold me on it (to be fair, they almost had me going for the wallaby, but I went with the fish based on personal preference).
For desserts she had the chocolate fondant and I went rogue and chose the cheese board paired with a fun-sounding spiced rum. Both were excellent and a great sign off for a wonderful night.
How hard the spiced rum hit me the day after (as it followed a winery visit in the late afternoon) is entirely on me, but I have no regrets.

I had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant. The dishes were exquisitely prepared and delicious, each one a culinary delight. The view of the lake added to the ambiance, creating a serene and picturesque setting that made the meal even more enjoyable.

Hi, We just had a beautiful weekend in Room 5 of your beautiful accommodation and also dined at the restaurant on Friday night. We were in Launceston for a wedding and found Stillwater Seven only through searching for your restaurant, where to start? From checking in we could already tell how beautiful this experience was going to be as the staff were just so friendly and welcoming, once we were ushered to our room we were met with pure elegance in the outlay and style of the room......the decor and finishing touches really showed how much thought had been put into giving the guests an amazing experience. Onto our dinner, the restaurant was beautiful and ourselves and friends were thoroughly enjoyed by the experience. The setting was beautiful, the food was amazing, the drinks well made but overall what made it a perfect night was the lovely service we were greeted with throughout the night. The staff were attentive and warm and always greeted with a smile......which could only make us all smile. Thank you again for this experience and appreciate our time at Stillwater. Stillwater is housed in a period style building and is fine dining at its finest. Meals start at 90 dollars per head for two courses whilst 115 dollars per three course meal. Stillwater is a pricey restaurant, and with extras and sides added and drinks, expect to pay short of 250 to 300 dollars for two people.

It's a stunning establishment with food top-notch. I deducted a point because one of the staff members described the Orange roughy fish dish differently to what I received. However, it was tasty and of high standard.

I would not recommend it if you have a large family unless you have deep pockets to spend. It's the type of restaurant that demands a special occasion. On this occasion, it was my 49 birthday with just my son and I.

A selection of wine and premium Tasmanian whisky is on offer and an extensive cocktail menu. This is the first establishment in Launceston we came to and look forward to seeing what else Launceston has to offer.
