On arrival I was greeted and checked in by the lovely Karol. She was energetic and an asset to have on the front desk. Aimee was amazing too as she knew me from the last time I stayed. Beds are always great and Aimee and Karol gave me an unexpected upgrade to the opera room which was a delight and one that I appreciate very much. Pool was also a bit warmer than previous stay however lifts do take some time still due to the one elevator still being in repair. Hopefully that'll get fixed soon. Still an amazing stay would happily stay again. Anniversary amenity was tasty and a nice treat as well!

First time stay for a conference and for the most part the experience was pleasant. The hotel itself is a bit dated as are the rooms on the lower floors but the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.
Where is all went downhill was the second morning of my stay. I was woken up at 5:45am to the sound of cleaners outside my door cleaning two rooms opposite. There was alot of banging and opening of doors and could not believe a hotel would allow someone on our floor at that time of the morning.
I travel extensively and have never had this happen before despite the manager telling me it was common. If only someone told me that on check in.
I now know why, this is a hotel that has alot of airline crew coming and going and I suspect they turn the rooms over early. The bottom line is I won't be staying here again and if you want a quiet relaxing stay you might want to consider another hotel.

Although I did not stay at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel, I have no doubt it would have been a great experience.

I came to attend an international trade show being held at the hotel. The facilities were very good, and the hotel's ambience made for a very successful series of meetings.

The hotel was really nice and the upgrades were impressive. The only issue was faced was the pungent smell of fresh paint in our room and on the entire floor. It was so strong it made me feel sick unfortunately.

I went and asked to be transferred to another room after explaining why and they were super understanding and helpful. They even gave us a free bottle of wine for the inconvenience of having to move.

Also, the front desk supervisor found out that it was my partners birthday and sent up this personalised note to our room. It was incredibly thoughtful and kind of him.

Fantastic customer service!

We loved our stay here. Room was nice and very clean, and fantastic view of the Harbour bridge from our room (see video). Had access to the executive lounge and that was nice, adequate for light dinner and drinks and perfect for breakfast, and the staff there was super nice, attentive and helpful. They also had a very nice birthday surprise delivered to our room, etc. We met friends in the 3 Bottle Man bar and lobby bar and got very good and accommodating service there as well. Location is excellent for train to airport and ferries everywhere, and of course the Opera House and parks. The hotel decor has a bit of a 1980's or 1990's look and feel, but well maintained and everything worked, if you are super style conscious and must have a 2024 look, maybe you will not love the look. They warn you the elevators are being worked on and there could be slowness, but we did not notice that, all good there. Good value compared to other competitors at the time of our booking. We had a great stay and will stay here on our next visit to Sydney.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My experience at the Marriott Sydney Harbour Circular Quay was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect.

The hotel's location near Circular Quay is unbeatable, offering easy access to Sydney's iconic attractions. I was able to stroll to the Sydney Opera House and admire the stunning views of Circular Quay right from my room.

Speaking of the room, it was beautifully appointed and offered all the comforts I could ask for. The attention to detail was evident, and I especially loved the breathtaking views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay from my window.

The Marriott's commitment to excellence shone through in every aspect of my stay, from the delicious dining options to the luxurious amenities. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough for anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience in Sydney.

Stayed here for Easter weekend. Our suite was spacious, but the bedroom side had no windows - we didn't get upgraded until we checked in, so we had no view.

Still, we had a lovely stay. The hotel had lots chocolate eggs for the kids and our kids definitely indulged. They also had ice cream. Lots of nice activities.

The pool's water was freezing cold, but it was a nice pool otherwise.

The staff was fantastic - zenith was adorable with our kids; and I think Zoe (?) Nguyen at the desk of the executive lounge was fantastic! We forgot the actual plug for our phone chargers and she delivered - finding one for us that we could borrow. She was absolutely fantastic!

And the location is excellent. Loved that it was so close to the opera house, the ferries, etc.

We stayed at the Sheraton the last time we were in Sydney (our view was better then), but I like the Marriott's location better.

The room was dirty when we arrived. Used cups and glasses were in evidence and the shower was dirty. They did clean on day 2. The location is good. Other than housekeeping the service around the hotel was acceptable. When we called, they did respond and cleaned the room on day 4 at 3:00 pm. The room was cleaned again on day 5.

Perfect location to explore Sydney and surrounding areas. A short walk from the Circular Quay travel station for trains, ferries, light rail, and buses. Helpful, courteous staff. One warm day the staff served ice cream in the lobby! On site restaurant, cafe, and bar. Alfredo's across the alley is a must for Italian food lovers. Shopping not far. The public areas are well maintained. The rooms are serviceable albeit a little weary but that is common for accommodations in high travel areas. Quiet, right sized rooms with superb blackout shades. Allow a few minutes to catch an elevator during early morning hours when the masses depart.

Overall a disappointing experience.

The staff is helpful and attentive, the location is great, but the hard product doesn't really match the price or the five star rating. The rooms are dated (peeling paint, failing wardrobe door, mouldy grout in the bathroom). There's one bedside socket to share between four people (used up by an alarm clock). The "city view" rooms overlook the neighbouring building's HVAC unit. The breakfast is decent but nothing to write home about. It's near impossible to get in a lift with luggage during peak times.

At half the price the place would be a good deal.

I stayed here for a week January/February 2024. The staff was always pleasant, professional and accommodating. The room was cleaned daily and checked by a manager. I also received a complimentary basket of fruit - not sure if it was for my titanium status or birthday. I also received the expected complimentary upgrade.

The lounge has a nice assortment for breakfast and dinner but basically empty for the afternoon hours.

The location is top notch, about a block away from the train, ferry, light rail and harbor. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are decent. However, the TV signal is intermittent and I missed the end of Jeopardy:(

The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. The gym was nice with lots of options. The breakfast was amazing. However the elevator system was being updated and was terribly slow. Otherwise 5 stars!

Excellent location for visiting the city, within walking distance of all the major things you'd want to see as a tourist, but also not far from the business district as well. The hotel itself is also very well done, with nice touches that you'd expect from a high quality establishment, although the rooms aren't particularly big. I appreciated the executive lounge, which isn't quite as nice as those found in Asia, but still offered good service and a decent breakfast.

Very disappointed with their rooms and customer service. I believe even 3 star hotels would have better facilities than Marriott. imagine the standard if you are calling house keeping to inform bathroom has no toilet paper and they would say oh sorry due to renovations happening around maybe it got missed, lol. Parking is an additional big issue for the hotel which is extremely inconvenient for their customers. Feels like they are losing their legacy even on cents. Definitely not worth it.

I was underwhelmed with this hotel. Its an old property, next to noisy construction site, with a poor elevator system. There was a stain on my sheets. Explore other options in the area which you will find will have better service, views and are more up-to-date.

Rooms and the hotel structure are all aged and a bit tired. A bed with peaks and valleys may not comfort you enough to sleep through the night. You will experience slow lifts that randomly reset themselves refusing to take you to your floor. Also, calling a lift takes forever. The hotel management should open the staircases for everyone. It would be quicker to walk down 15 floors than wait for an overloaded lift and you may need to wait for the next one because there is no room anyway. Don't plan anything without a 15-20 minutes lift delay buffer... It is a major pain.

Prompt service. Great food for a conference. Perfect location. Breakfast is decent. Espresso coffee order not always there when you need it. Staff can be forgetful about your simple coffee order.

My room had an average random street view, but not everyone is getting the opera house picturesque panorama from their small room window... Also, I hear that my view was a decent one in comparison with an alleyway or a construction crane view also available...

You claim i stayed.
Maybe you should have let me know.
You obviously purchased my details from somewhere to send the request to me.
Pathetic way to get a review.
I give reviews to places i want to without being asked.
However i can say in all honesty i have done work at a Marriott Hotel..."not as a guest",and what was seen has to be the biggest rat i have ever seen.
Thank you for sending me this request.

Doubt you will allow me to post it

It's the best hotel to spend the weekend or holidays with your friends. If you upgrade your room to the opera house you can also get access to the executive lounge. The view from there is also beautiful, and instantly you will feel relaxed while seeing the view. You can also see the sunrise and sunset from there. My friends and I had a great time there.

We stayed 2 nights, in an executive room with club access, during Vivid. The location is fantastic and can't be beat. It is so close to Circular Quay and the Trams that take you all around the city. We had an amazing view towards the Opera House which wasn't utilised properly as the bed was on the opposite wall so our view was of buildings. The room was fine but the bathroom was overdue a renovation. Check in was slow and we had to wait in lines with our luggage. One lift was broken so it took ages to come and go especially on check out. Way too many people crammed into the lifts. The club room was nice and the selection of foods and drinks were good but below standard for the price. We were told if we ate breakfast in the busy main dining room we would have to pay extra. We have never had to do that at other hotels. Overall we enjoyed the location of the hotel for seeing Vivid. So did a lot of other people. So if this location is not important there are plenty of other nicer hotels in Sydney to stay for the price.

Great 3 night stay! Super friendly and informative staff. We were upgraded to a room with a view to the opera house and access to the executive lounge. The room is a little tight for 3 people but clean. Housekeeping was also very good in responding to our request. Location is perfect, close walking to major attractions, public transportation, and many restaurants.

Was welcomed by Trang who was absolutely lovely. Our room was nice could have been larger as I was with 3 people. The bathroom was rather small too. Beds were not so comfortable and I did not like the pillows, but that's up to the individual I presume. View was nice however you had to go to the side of the window to see the bridge view otherwise straight on was buildings, but couldn't complain, as I was offered an upgrade.

Went to dinner and had a great waiter named Lewis. The entree was lovely but the main meal was awful. Not much selection either. $71 for 2 courses $81 for 3 courses. The dinner was very A la Carte. Too trendy for my liking as I had lamb and it was so rare and the others had the duck, rare too. We didn't like the taste at all. However, the breakfast was fantastic. A lot of selection being hot breakfast and continental.

Very handy to Circular Quay and Sydney Harbour and I found all the staff friendly and wonderful. The staff actually made my stay very pleasant.

Not a lot to complain about at all! Overall we had a great stay! The staff where the true highlight of the stay! Extremely friendly, welcoming and informative! They where what made it a great stay! The affordability for such a prime location was excellent, the room was neat and tidy nothing too fancy or special but it wasn't bad! The buffet breakfast was a stand out aswel! Extremely friendly staff and delicious fresh food! The eating area was also impressive! Ultimately I can highly recommend the Marriott for a short stay in the city! Well worth the money! Had to be a 5/5 stars from me!

Stayed here for 4 nights, everything was great ??'?

My room was upgraded to Opera House view and I enjoyed sunrise every morning!

Laundry and Room service were just fine, no issues or delays. Lounge was good, average across all Marriott hotels ??'?

Building seems to be old (like every building in downtown), but no issues with that. Interior is fresh and nice looking ?

Very busy hotel, full of retired American tourists. A lift ride can take ages. However, service is professional, Australian hospitality at its finest. Great views and ideal location.. definitely pricey though

First time staying with this brand. It was a fantastic experience. Despite some minor confusion regarding total bill, the service provided was fantastic throughout.

This hotel is in a really good location. If you are travelling via Train Link or a Sydney Trains service from airport, simply use a city circle service and alight at Circular Quay; hotel is walking distance from station.

This is a great hotel to consider for location and price point. Our accommodation included daily breakfast, which was of restaurant quality.

Breakfast and location were great. Breakfast was a great range and very plentiful. We loved it. Location right on Circular Quay was excellent.

I think for a 5 star restaurant the rooms were hugely disappointing. I have stayed in numerous hotels and the room would best be described as one up from a motel with wallpaper peeling off the walls and dirty carpet which was very unexpected. My $600 room that was meant to have a bridge view had a view of a building site and you could only see the bridge by leaning against one side of the window. I think that advertising these rooms as 5 star with a bridge view for that amount of money is outrageous. Disappointing that lashing out for a family night out was not as luxurious as we expected.

This was our first stay in this hotel and it was largely a very positive experience. We enjoyed a Bridge View room on an upper floor. While it is the case that building demolition was taking place directly opposite our room, this did not negatively impact our stay and the view of the bridge, although it required looking sideways out the window, was quite appealing. We found the room clean and well-equipped. Owing to Covid restrictions there was no mini-bar and limited reading material. We did feel that more information, for example regarding room service, could have been provided on the TV, though we eventually found a QR code that provide the relevant information. We found the breakfast very satisfying with a good range of food to choose from and very tasty made-to-order omelettes. We were a little disappointed that the Three Bottle Man bar had very restricted opening hours. There seemed to be very limited options for an after-show drink inside the hotel. Nevertheless, the service overall was very good and the location, a short walk from Circular Quay and the Opera House is excellent. We look forward to staying there again

Such a beautiful hotel with super friendly hospitality! Great food! The saunas are open late which has been a wonderful warm up and relaxing experience at the end of a long day exploring the city. There is public transportation super close by and lots of yummy eats within walking distance. The entire hotel smells amazing and everything is very clean and well kept. We stayed for 9 days and enjoyed it immensely! The view was spectacular!

My family (2 elementary school students and dad and mom) stayed for 2 nights at the Sydney Marriott on September 24, 2022.
This hotel location is so great!!!
Because, Circular Quay Pier is 5-10minute walk from the main lobby and there are Harbor Bridge and Opera House, and you can go to various places by ferry.
We have Marriott Gold Tier.
The room size is reasonable and the bed is large.
Also, room view is fantastic with partial view of the Harbor Bridge!!!
We were satisfied with the use of the executive-lounge for breakfast and dinner, small buffet, alcoholic beverages (wine, beer) and a variety of soft drinks!!!
The swimming pool includes a sauna but no heated pool...
Our family was happy and satisfied during our stay!
So, highly recommended for families visiting Sydney!!!??'?

Overall an excellent stay at the Sydney Harbour Marriott! You cannot beat the location.

The rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Our sole complaint was the elevators took quite some time during rush & the executive lounge is only open in the evenings.

Be sure to get the inclusive breakfast. Worth every penny for the fresh eggs, fruit, pastries, and overall abundant spread.

It's a 5 star hotel but the decor of our room was dated. Not quite up to the latest 5 star styling. A bit bland decor, especially the hallways and lighting. Very clean though. Excellent service.
We had twin double bed room that was smaller than expected and expensive for what you get .
We chose it because of its location and view of harbour bridge and that's what you pay for. Unbeatable 5 min walk to Circular Quay and heart of Sydney tourist area.
Be warned, currently as of August 2022 there is major construction opposite that is noisy.
Overall we love it but will probably try for more luxurious rooms.

Phenomenal team Winnie, Jessica, and P. at the front desk goes above and beyond without you having to ask. Barbara checked us in with ease. Best of all Honey did an exceptional service recovery today. Amazing team! Vegas level service, frictionless, warm and kind. Highly recommend the people/team. Looking forward to my entire stay more weeks with these fine folks make everything better. Marriott brand is well represented here.

Stayed here during Vivid. Couldn't fault it! Location is perfect, 2min walk to Circular Quay and 5minutes to the Rocks.
Got 2 x double beds and we all slept like baby. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean and great views of the harbour bridge and the city lights.
Breakfast was good and service was excellent.
Definitely a 5 star hotel experience. Well done Marriott! ??'?
Will return again and will recommend to others.

Here I am in hotel quarantine in the Marriott Hotel in Pitt Street, Sydney. The bathroom vent is really dirty, I just cleaned the dirty window and the hand basin plug doesn't fit the plughole. The staff tried 4 different plugs, none of them fit. You might not think this is a big deal but I have no clothes washing facilities except the hand basin. The air-conditioning slats in the bedroom are covered in dust. Again, this might not be a big deal unless you are kept inside that room for 14 days straight with NO fresh air. Consider that. Plus, the carpet won't be vacuumed during the 14 days. In fact, no cleaning is done unless you do it yourself and no cleaning products provided although I did read you can ask for washing detergent. Nothing is provided to hang wet clothes on. There are 3 rails in the shower stall but you have to hang a wet towel somewhere, too. Forget the good old days when hotels provided clean towels every day. I get fresh towels on day 6. You might not want fresh towels every day and nor do I necessarily, but hygiene is paramount in quarantine and in this case, I'd like fresh towels every second day. Also, a privacy issue - the names of the previous 4 guests in this room are still on the hotel message system on the TV above my name! Yesterday the staff said the names would be removed, but they are still there today. And for this, I believe, I'm being charged $3,000. I put one star for service, even though the staff have been polite and helpful, because there really isn't any service because of the quarantine conditions. I put solo traveller because there was no 'quarantine' to choose.

It wasn't poor. It was horrifying. I'm here for a 14-day quarantine and they have completed eroded the name of Marriott for me. They left an empty dinner box outside my door and when I complained they said its not possible rudely. Sometimes they skip serving meals. I agree with another reviewer - they serve cold frozen chicken with fake grill marks that make you sick. The bathrooms are old, aged, leaky and dirty. The carpet smells. And the staff is terribly rude. All this, when you're spending an arm and leg on staying here.
I can confidently say that I will never stay in any Marriott Hotel anywhere in the world.

Great place to be in quarantine. The food and service is very good in quality and varied on a two week basis. They cater for different diets and have been very accommodating.

The foyer was cold and dim. It was hard to see and I have 20/20 vision. Food could have been better, lacked imagination and creativity. Basically not hot. Carrot cake was impressive as it had carrot on it, highly recommend. It looked dry and can confirm it is dry. Bin is full and smells, only get changed when we ask. The view is substandard as I'm staring at someone intensely working on a computer. No harbour views as promised.

Just finished 14 day Quarantine at this excellent Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was perfect for the 14 day stay. Excellent views from this Hotel. If you were coming to Sydney this would be the ideal place to stay.
I had never been to Sydney before. But will make sure I come back under normal circumstances.
I also want to mention the first class food that was delivered to my room.
I want to thank Neil and Raphael the Chef's and all there staff.I've included photos of the room , the view, and some of the meals that I received.
Thanks again Sydney Marriott Harbour Hotel and all staff. 10/10
