I recently stayed at the Hilton Sydney for two nights with my wife and baby. As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I had high expectations, and while some aspects of the stay were great, there were a few disappointments.
**Positives:**
- The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a complimentary cot provided for our baby, which was much appreciated.
- The buffet breakfast was delicious, albeit very busy. Naomi, our server, stood out for her exceptional service and attention to detail.
- The hotel is in a fantastic central location, making it easy to explore the city.
**Negatives:**
- The bathroom was surprisingly small for a hotel of this caliber.
- Housekeeping only provided one bath towel initially, and it took 1.5 hours and multiple follow-up calls to get two more towels delivered.
- The TV reception was unreliable and frequently dropped out.
- I found it disappointing that Zeta Bar does not allow accompanied minors, especially since it's the only venue offering happy hour deals. This forced us to go to Glass Bar, which was much more expensive.
Overall, the stay had its ups and downs. While the service and location were highlights, the delays with housekeeping and lack of family-friendly options for relaxing with a drink were frustrating. Hilton Sydney has potential, but a few adjustments would make the experience much better for families.
