Another embarrassing and humiliating food experience in Tasmania. When we arrived, (as a vegan, I always ask nicely) I checked about availability of a vegan meal. The bar girl went to kitchen to check, yes she said when she returned, they would be able to organise a vegan meal. So we attend to be told no. Embarrassing, humiliating and so disappointing. Tell me up front, don't leave me upset and hungry after I specifically asked 4 hours ago. The bar girl was clearly asking the door handles about vegan meals because there was nobody else in the kitchen.
Come on food businesses in Tasmania this is the 21st century. Appalling, as now I'm denied the opportunity to have dinner elsewhere. Really poor.

Easy drive from the airport. Great value room with a continental breakfast. Dinner at the pub restaurant was good. Noted a lot of caravans in the caravan parking area. Washing machine available. Fantastic pillows.

Big room, very friendly staff. Note no A/C in room for Tassie's random hot day. Close to Maria Island ferry. Easy to get to food or drinks as it is part of the hotel!

Super nice staff! We stayed one night here after spending the day on Maria Island and had dinner just after we checked in.

I'm vegan and the chef made me some special veggie stir fry because there was nothing on the menu that I could have. So A BIG THANK YOU CHEF!
The room was really cosy. The bathroom was really clean, it looks like they recently renovated it. It was nice to be provided some cereal and milk in the fridge for brekkie. And great for bird watching in the morning when you wake up!
