We live in our caravan, travelling full-time on the road. Our usual choice of dining is a local pub near where we are camped. Mostly the fare is your usual pub grub which is a slap down & there's the door.
Well, what a refreshing breath of fresh air we found at Tara's Hall.
On our first night in town we ventured into the pub for a meal. You could see the tired faces on the couple who own the pub. The usual story of most small businesses being a lack of staff. Our meals came out fresh and tasting great, along with a smile & a ready chat.
We went back a week later & were greeted with a smile and " you're still in town".
They do a fresh seafood night every Tuesday (they go to Melbourne & purchase from the markets each week) which is booked out weeks in advance but don't despair as there is usually an excess that they tend to work into their ever changing menu.
Their seafood basket looked interesting, which I went with. The better half went with a pizza.
To say it was fantastic would be an understatement. Punching well above their weight.
Do yourself a favour and try this quirky little pub for a meal and have a chat with the owners. Just remember they tend to do all of the cooking and work on their own, so be patient and enjoy.
