Taras Hall Hotel in Echuca VIC

The Taras Hall Hotel is a hotel located in Echuca, Victoria. They have a bar and offer accommodation.
We live in our caravan, travelling full-time on the road. Our usual choice of dining is a local pub near where we are camped. Mostly the fare is your usual pub grub which is a slap down & there's the door. Well, what a refreshing breath of fresh air we found at Tara's Hall. On our first night in town we ventured into the pub for a meal. You could see the tired faces on the couple who own the pub. The usual story of most small businesses being a lack of staff. Our meals came out fresh and tasting great, along with a smile & a ready chat. We went back a week later & were greeted with a smile and " you're still in town". They do a fresh seafood night every Tuesday (they go to Melbourne & purchase from the markets each week) which is booked out weeks in advance but don't despair as there is usually an excess that they tend to work into their ever changing menu. Their seafood basket looked interesting, which I went with. The better half went with a pizza. To say it was fantastic would be an understatement. Punching well above their weight. Do yourself a favour and try this quirky little pub for a meal and have a chat with the owners. Just remember they tend to do all of the cooking and work on their own, so be patient and enjoy.

The Taras Hall Hotel does not appear to have any published opening hours, but you may find some more information on their website.

Very hard to rate your favourite pub but it has to be said when your favourite lunch gets smaller - great atmosphere, great staff, cold beer I love it. But guys, the rissoles was so small today I'm afraid to say I'm going to have to go and get a second lunch. Please review the rissoles portion. It's my favourite Sunday lunch!! I'll be back regardless

We went on the Parma night (Thurs). The staff were very friendly, the food service was a bit slow but it was very busy. The parmy was very bland but well cooked.

Old style pub, very friendly staff. We were here on a Friday night they had 2 hours of happy hour and a meat tray raffle. Dinner was fantastic I had the marinara, it was the best.

I knew as soon as I laid eyes on this place I knew i was in for a good pub feed. The humble, old school country exterior tells the tale of quality tucker and cold beer. I wasn't disappointed. Friendly atmosphere with log fires in winter and a solid but not overcrowded menu.

Good old pub.
Was understaffed when we were there but that can't be helped.
I don't think the chef knows how to make a Thai Beef salad. Meat was yummy flavours great but only had cabbage and capsicum as the salad. Nothing else.
Will try again another time.
Girl behind the bar was bubbly and helpful ?

The best pub in Echuca by far!! Staff are so welcoming and friendly. We took our dog there as well and my partner myself and Boston our staffy would easily say it was the highlight of our time in Echuca. Special mention to the amazing Rick who treated our little staffy like a king and even brought out some pizza for him And made a special effort every time he went past us to give Boston a pat. We actually went there the next night and the lovely bartender remembered me and also the drinks me and my missus had the night before and had them ready to go. Can't speak highly enough of this place.

Fantastic pub. Beers cold and the kids chicken tenders are real chicken. Our meals were all fantastic and well priced. I can't wait to be in town for seafood Tuesday.

Love the Parma night on Thursday - plenty to choose from. Winters night and open fire roaring, glass of red and a delicious parma. What more can someone want

She ain't pretty on the eye BUT, what a feed and the beer would have to be the coldest and cheapest in the area, not that price matters when you get the kind of service you get here. Awesome job guys and gals
