Tattersalls Hotel, Penrith NSW

Young security guy who barely looks 18 stroking his ego by insisting on checking 50 and 60 year old IDs and bag searches. i understand its his job but this guys approach is extremely unfriendly and he should show respect especially since we literally go there everyday with no ID checking. Very disappointed to have this kid to not allowed entry due to my protest at his bag check. Have spent many hours enjoying dealing with the kind and friendly staff and putting money into their pinballs which are excellent. I'm sure tattersalls would be disappointed too as they obviously like to have people playing lotto and enjoying themselves and to know that their main customer base are treated so disrespectfully is disappointing. Guy needs to learn how respect his elders.

Food Quality is disgusting. Service is horrendous. Male manager should look for work outside of hospitality as I wouldn't even leave him in charge to manage a goldfish. Tattersalls has really dropped off in the last few years. It's such a shame to be honest.

denied entry by security at 8pm on Anzac day. 3 of us over 60 years old not intoxicated were denied access to the pub very rudely by security. When we questioned why as the pub was open we were told that RSI rules closed the pub early on Anzac day. We phoned the pub and asked what time they close and were told it was 10pm? Still would not let us in although they let in obvious friends.
When I questioned why we were not allowed to enter I was told that I was being argumentative. Not impressed.
Don't bother many better options in Penrith

I didn't get the chance to eat here but I will be coming back to give it a go purely because of Jane behind the counter. She was sooo helpful, understanding and human, which is so hard to find these days around Penrith. I definitely will be back very soon (maybe for Wild West Karaoke night!) just for her service again :D

Great food. Love that it isn't just pub grub. Texan fries were yum, also pumpkin salad. Steaks are tender. Drinks aren't expensive and nicely air conditioned venue which is must in Penrith. Best pub food in Penrith for sure!
