I've staying at the Telegraph weekly due to work and it's great. The bedrooms and very clean , food at the pub is yummy and their pale ale is to die for. Staff is lovely.

Couldn't recommend them enough.

Had dinner and stayed two nights (Fri-Sat). Highly recommended for those passing through, modern and up to date rooms above a lively small town pub. Was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday, nothing that would stop a good night's sleep - but what else do you expect ?

Went to the bistro.
Great meals at a reasonable price
Top service. Friendly and helpful.
Very relaxing pub.
Wow. What a great FAMILY pub!
Located in the main street just down from the post office, this family run pub caters for families.

A large public bar, and a huge dining room that has a large menu and caters for vegetarians and gluten free customers.

Order drinks and meals at the bar.

The dining room opens at 5.30pm, which is handy for families with young kids, or tradies with early starts.

The pub also has accommodation.

Would I come back? Yep. Definitely.

Parking. On street or in the large car park at the rear.

Wheelchair and stroller access.. from the front, head down the left side of the building. From the car park, head to the right.

Entry to the bar or dining is easy. Two doors to choose from.

Using the 1800s front door requires you to negotiate a six inch step.

(With the stars, I did not look at the accom, so to be fair, I have not marked them)

We had a great lunch and will definitely be going back. Bonus was we won on keno which paid for our meal and drinks.

Best hotel in town, lovely staff, recently updated rooms and bathrooms, very central to town. Comfy accommodation with delicious food and local beer downstairs.
Highly recommend
Good old country pub. Typical all things pub like. Has there own beer on tap which is nice. Rooms are nicely done up and reasonably priced for what they are. Recommend if you're staying in the town.

Was a great spot to celebrate the life of Uncle. Plenty of room for us all to fit and they served pints. Thankyou.

Good pub & atmosphere.
Happy with all our meals, no complaints.
The first time I've stayed here, the room was very good, clean and tidy with very good beds & pillows.
Room 1, double room Queen & 2 singles, modern bathroom between rooms.

We have eaten here several times now since moving into Numurkah. The food is some of the best country food I've ever had. Extensive menu and reasonably priced. The service is nothing short of impeccable.

Great service. A nice renovation. Downstairs feels clean and has a modern lift without lising it's character. The rooms have been renovated, but do have some residual issues of an old building. Definitely the best place to stay in the region.
Aircon, barfridge, TV with netflix, renovated bathroom.

Amazing food. I had the scotch fillet and my goodness it was like butter. Cooked well and just perfect.

The meals were only OK. Chips were only warm. Fish was smelly, chicken burger only just. Para looked nice but chicken overcooked and wagu burger was nice.
Needed a place to stay during a country run for work and Shepparton was all booked out. Rang up, booked a room and turned up an hour later. Rooms have clearly been updated recently as both the bed and bath are top notch.

Had dinner downstairs, porterhouse was cooked perfectly and probably one of the best mushroom sauces I have ever had!

The local pale ale (made in house) is a cracker.

Staff all very nice and up for a chat.

Will be putting this pub down as my local stay over for all trips north from Melb ??'?

Well where do I start. Ordered 3 courses and wasn't I presently suprised. The Arancini balls and Bruschetta were absolutely amazing and the hawaiian chicken parma was the best I've had. I am a very picky reviewer/ recommender, and do not waste my time writing reviews unless a venue I dine in really deserves it. And let me tell anyone that wants a absolute superb meal and pay reasonable for it then go and dine here. you won't regret it.

Keep up the good work telegraph hotel Numurkah because Numurkah is lucky to have such quality meals for a small town.

Lovely venue, food was fresh and tasty with a great variety on the menu! No one greeted us on arrival and we had to approach the young lady behind the bar to be seated, get menus, etc and she was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming!! Thankfully the young lady who brought our food out was very friendly and incredibly polite and accommodating! Although the hotel was full of patrons the meals were served promptly!

Sat by the warm fire sharing a lovely meal. Servings were generous and food well prepared. Finished off with a glass of red wine before braving g the cold to head back to our accommodation

This place is a little hidden gem! Stayed for one night over a weekend, and the place so really lovely! More modern than you expect! Super cosy and clean and great facilities
Staff were very easy to deal with and we had a lovely stay, I would certainly book again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms have been nicely renovated. Check in is at the bar in the bistro. We had dinner in the bistro, which was very busy, so we had to wait over an hour for our meals, but we really enjoyed them when they arrived. Being above a pub, you can hear a bit of noise, but only people talking. There's no loud music to keep you awake to the early hours. The only downside to our stay was there was no hot water. My wife had a shower at night and she had sporadic hot water, but in the morning there was none for my shower. That's the reason I have given 4 stars, otherwise it would have been 5.

Five stars for the accommodation - it is outstanding value for money. More motel than pub accommodation. Beautiful and clean rooms . Service from staff was also great.

The real letdown, however, was the food. $35 for steak that was bordering on more fat and gristle, awful chips, soggy and stale oil, and forgettable salad on top of a long (40 minute) wait when it wasn't even busy.

Come for the accommodation, drinks and bar service - all fantastic - but look elsewhere for food.

A large group of us stayed for 2 nights. Our Rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The staff were helpfull, friendly and accommodating. We were happy with our meals, the service and such a great location, short walk to The Golf Club too for the golfers in our group.
Highly recommend if you're up that way.

The staff was extremely friend, one of the managers in particular looked after us the entire stay
The room was spacious and comfortable. We ate there lunch and dinner and the food was absolutely beautiful I would recommend this place if you are traveling that side of the country you will not be disappointed I promise you
