Tenterfield Tavern & Motor Inn

Dined in the tavern. Menu offered adequate selection at pub prices. It was local rural show time and the venue was busy but this didn't impact on the friendly service. Meal quality and quality was adequate.

Ohhh dear... had our meal delivered within 5 mins of ordering. Nothing cooked fresh.
Smash potato was dry old n horrid, broccoli soggy, sausages reheated. Lamb cutlets thin n dry n reheated..
learned a good lesson.. Don't go back!

I had the 200g Rump chips, salad and pepper gravy. Pretty ordinary meal really so wouldn't rush back.
Reply. Had lunch today 8/10 and paid $28. Meat was varied from very thin and dry to slightly thicker and ok. Gristle around the edge was very chewy. Chip were not fresh. Pepper gravy had no bite and was creamy sweet. You had no 300g Rump available today which might not have been as thin but as stated, pretty ordinary

Great stay at the Tenterfield Tavern. Terrific Service from Steve & Hamish. The rooms were good size, very clean & had electric blanket. Plus juices, bread & spreads, plus cereal options for breakfast all included in room price. Plenty of drink options at bar & food choices were excellent. Our bikes were under cover outside our room & highly recommend the tavern for a stay.

Was disappointed tonight with the food that was cooked by the female chef. I ordered the bangers & mash the bangers came out half cooked still red in the middle, took it back still came out red and had to take it back again, I ended up getting $12 back from my meal that cost $24. My sons kids meal bangers & mash was the same. When I confronted her she tried to tell me that sausages are going to come out red no matter how long I cook them for. What bullshit story is that, your not cooking steak darling your cooking sausages that can actually give you food poisoning if they are not cooked. I don't eat out very much and when I do, I do expect a meal I can eat and that's going to be cooked. Instead tonight I walked out disappointed and wasted my money.

I rate this place 5 star alround.
Room was beautiful and clean linen and bed on point, electric blanket. Bathroom was lovely and spotless!
Awesome continental breakfast provided, bread, milk, juices, cereals and spreads.
Pubs restaurant cooked amazing dinner with excellent service and prices.
Bar staff couldn't do enough for you.
I will return here and will be recommending this place.
Lots of parking for cars and trucks.

All expectations met. After doing a road trip and stayed in motel's this motel is the bomb. The young man who greeted us upon arriving and explained our stay was very polite and very helpful.
We then eat at the tavern for our meal and the bar staff went above and beyond to help.
I would recommend anyone to stay and we will certainly be back to explore Tenterfield so more.

We called in for lunch. Had a $24 steak burger with the lot. Polite service, quick and efficient. The burger was enormous and the chips were hot and well cooked. We shared the burger between us.
The pub was very clean. Toilets 🚻 were super clean. All in all a very pleasant experience 😊

The Tavern impresses with its delightful food and exceptionally pleasing service. Locals add to the warm, inviting atmosphere, making every visit memorable. It's a cozy spot that feels like home, where every meal is a joy and every interaction feels genuine. A heartwarming experience through and through.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food was well priced with a very generous serve. Not too mention very tasty work a good selection.
