Was disappointed tonight with the food that was cooked by the female chef. I ordered the bangers & mash the bangers came out half cooked still red in the middle, took it back still came out red and had to take it back again, I ended up getting $12 back from my meal that cost $24. My sons kids meal bangers & mash was the same. When I confronted her she tried to tell me that sausages are going to come out red no matter how long I cook them for. What bullshit story is that, your not cooking steak darling your cooking sausages that can actually give you food poisoning if they are not cooked. I don't eat out very much and when I do, I do expect a meal I can eat and that's going to be cooked. Instead tonight I walked out disappointed and wasted my money.

I rate this place 5 star alround.
Room was beautiful and clean linen and bed on point, electric blanket. Bathroom was lovely and spotless!
Awesome continental breakfast provided, bread, milk, juices, cereals and spreads.
Pubs restaurant cooked amazing dinner with excellent service and prices.
Bar staff couldn't do enough for you.
I will return here and will be recommending this place.

All expectations met. After doing a road trip and stayed in motel's this motel is the bomb. The young man who greeted us upon arriving and explained our stay was very polite and very helpful.
We then eat at the tavern for our meal and the bar staff went above and beyond to help.
I would recommend anyone to stay and we will certainly be back to explore Tenterfield so more.

We called in for lunch. Had a $24 steak burger with the lot. Polite service, quick and efficient. The burger was enormous and the chips were hot and well cooked. We shared the burger between us.
The pub was very clean. Toilets 🚻 were super clean. All in all a very pleasant experience 😊

The Tavern impresses with its delightful food and exceptionally pleasing service. Locals add to the warm, inviting atmosphere, making every visit memorable. It's a cozy spot that feels like home, where every meal is a joy and every interaction feels genuine. A heartwarming experience through and through.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food was well priced with a very generous serve. Not too mention very tasty work a good selection.

I came here on a motorcycle overnighter with 49 others. We made the tavern very busy that night. but the service was good and staff helpful, if not a bit slow due possibly due to our numbers.
The courtesy van driver was fantastic, both to and from the venue back to our motel (Setlers) My Parmi was ok but not great. Reports on the Irish Stew were mixed between great and average.
The band on this night was severely affected by the female singer and their sound engineer. Drummer, lead and bass players were quite good, but not enough to make up for the singer and their sound engineer.
All 50 of us left after the first set.
We couldn't stand any more.

We got to the restaurant just after closing on a Sunday 2.05pm but they took our order anyway, just keep them coming he said, and it was great. Doesn't look much from the outside but nice, modern and great atmosphere on the inside.

We didn't stay here as we had our motor home, but decided to come for dinner. What a great choice we made. We had the southern fried chicken, with a topper of calamari rings, wedges & salad. What a great meal, our compliments to the chef, everything was cooked perfectly.

Another great meal here.

1st time passing through tenterfield had a great time here on a Thursday night the bar tender damo was legend always a smile on his face

The food in the restaurant is fantastic in particular the crumbed lamb cutlets. The room was clean and comfortable. And given its proximity to the highway it was nice and quiet.

Found it pretty rude that the special for a Monday night is kids eat free with the purchase of a meal over $25 but if you want to purchase the kids activity pack & drink for an extra $5 you void the free kids meal, it makes no sence.

Had bangers and mash for lunch today, wow, was a huge meal. The snags were plentiful and tasty, a mountain of good mash and a medley of perfectly cooked veg. Great value for money.

We pull in here everything we come through Tenterfield. Great meals. Good value promotion in the bottles hope if you spend more than $30.

A group of 12 people went here for coffee, lunch and drinks. The menu had a variety of choices and all the meals were presented well. The prices were average and the meals enjoyable.
This was our second visit, and we will probably return when we are in Tenterfield.

Bad customer service and a bit expensive for what you get. chips were good but parmy was small.

Average food, average service fairly dissapointed. Extended wait for drink service even tho 4 people behind the bar, food was average, meals come out wrong and had meals missed, had to speak to kitchen to find them cleaning up not cooking. There was 1 young girl who was incredibly polite an well spoken she earned the venue the second star in this review

Could not fault the pub or the motel.
We arrived in tenterfiled at 7.15pm and rang the motel and they had a room available.
I asked where there meals at the pub and she said it is closing soon so may need to be quick.
When we got there to check inn she had asked the kitchen to stay open for us.
Not only did we have a beautiful meal and very filling.The staff where amazing and very accomadating.would stop again of heading through town.
Even after they had shut the kitchen a couple of ladies came in and pointed them down to the bowling club and rang to tell them they where coming.

Stayed overnight at the motel and was not disappointed. Rooms were generous, clean and modern. Checking in and out was so simple. Right in the heart of Tenterfield. Popped into the Tavern for dinner. Meals were brilliant value for money, fresh, hot and tasty. Brilliant spot. Thank you

We were on a road trip holiday booked into the Hotel for 3 nights huge motel room all facilities for a family stay, had great seafood dinner meals very reasonable, will stay there again lots to see in the area

Great place for a meal in Tenterfield. You couldn't ask for more from a pub meal. The steak and chips were brilliant and cooked to perfection for my medium rare order. The onion rings were also amazing.

Delicious and filling meals at the restaurant. Friendly staff, always enjoy eating and having a few drinks here.

The room was nice and clean. Exactly what you would expect for a small town. Loved Tenterfield, extremely Friendly people. Had a wonderful time. Justin the new chef at the tavern was amazing! If you're going through Tenterfield I would highly recommend staying the night in this cute town!
