Best Chinese food i have had in Melbourne! Very quality traditional chinese meals with a modern twist. Its a little more on the pricier side but serving sizes were generous and its definitely worth it for a fun date night. Our server Tom was really attentive and helpful with our meal choices. All in all a great experience. Will definitely be back.

We had a lovely dinner on a Sunday night. Lovely ambience, with a buzzy and vibrant atmosphere. The dishes we had were very tasty. The flavours were much more intense than what you'd get at a traditional Chinese restaurant, but a nice interesting twist to Chinese cooking. We had the mouth watering chicken, bug egg noodles and Chinese greens, with a side of steamed rice.

The best Asian food up we have had in a long time. Lots of choice, good quality ingredients, and so much flavour. Beautiful setting, open, light and calm even when busy. Great friendly staff who engage with you even when under pressure. Entertainment for Lunar New Year was so much fun.
Highly recommend for a good night out.

Extraordinary!! Exceptional on all fronts. We ordered the $75 pp banquet every morsel was exquisite. Service impeccable. Decor and vibe was great.

This is an awesome venue, we were there on a Saturday night and the place was alive with energy. We dined in a booth which I'd highly recommend for a birthday or special occasion. Food was really great and the service was speedy.

We choose this hotel to celebrate a wedding anniversary as the interior design/ambience is beautiful and we love Chinese food.
We ordered quite a few dishes, most of them are pretty good.
- The San Choy Bau and Spring rolls are delish and good entrée options.
- The Soy Sauce Chicken & Char Siu Pork are very tender and delicious!
- Black Pepper Beef is great but be careful as the spiciness of the black pepper hits you slowly.
- The roast duck & sweet and sour pork are not as good as the dishes we've eaten in other Chinese restaurants at the same price range. We ordered half roasted duck and it's quite bony and it doesn't feel like there's much meat.
- Delicious Garlic Fried Rice really goes well with all the main dishes!
- We ordered customised Mojito nonalcoholic but they are quite sour and pricey.
- The service was great! John the manager was very accommodating from when we made our bookings to serve us at the restaurant.

Overall, considering the price range, I'd would recommend if you want to celebrate special occasions.

This was a special event around Peking Duck and it was great. The duck salad was a highlight as were the spring rolls (pastry so light).

A chinese restaurant within the Albert hotel pub. It's a big space with high ceilings, plenty of tables, large bar and outside area too. I was unsure initially of the concept, it was strange not to be in the usual hustle of a chinese restaurant and served by Asian wait staff but it worked! Our waiter was delightfully chatty and was quick to answer any questions and find out if he was unsure. There was a happy hour of $5 drinks between 5-7pm which was great as we were there for it.

We shared a few dishes between the 3 of us. We got:
Half shell scallops which were cooked perfectly. The sauce was delicious and really brought out the flavor of the scallop and the noodles added some substance to the dish.

Five spice silken tofu was a great crispy texture on the outside and silky smooth in the inside. The xo sauce gave the dish a nice finishing touch and provided a great accompaniment to the tofu.

Singapore squid was really fresh and the sauce was rich and full of umami, perfect for the squid and to add to our rice.

Asian greens with garlic sauce was cooked well and not overpowering with the garlic.

Spanner crab fried rice was a nice & crunchy and was the right carb to go with the other dishes we ordered to soak up all the lovely sauces.

It was an enjoyable visit, great place to catch up with friends & it got nice and busy as we left.

I'd say upmarket Chinese, I loved the decor.
We had the YUM CHA PORK, and 1/2 serve duck pancakes. Both were delicious. Although we thought the yum cha pork with chilli would be more spicy.
We wanted to order more but we're feeling full.
We did have the fried ice cream.
Was fairly quiet for an early Sunday dinner.
Would definitely return.

The food was amazing! We ordered a serve of the dumplings again because they were so good.
The restaurant itself was extremely well soundproofed, it was really busy and my partner and I could still talk without raising our voices.
The waitress we had was lovely but sometimes hard to track down.
Bar staff were phenomenal, we were early and had a few drinks and couldn't rate them highly enough with service and quality of drinks.
This place is really good for people watching, many eclectic patrons with interesting stories.

Three of us came here for lunch, ordered beef, char sew, crab fried rice and chicken wings.
The food is above average, not very special but alright. We spent $50 pp.

The ambience is super chill, we had a good time sitting at both outdoor and indoor setting. It's clean and very lux.

Steeped pricings for dim sims averaging at AUS$21.00 per 3pcs dim sim. Nice lovely setting ambience. Personally liked the Spanner crab with egg white dish. Will skipped the Lava Buns as it is too expensive though nice - unless you have the luxury to splurge on it.

Pub that serves Chinese style dishes as part of their menu. There are some cuts of the Peking duck that felt like roast duck due to its thickness but flavour wise not bad. Fried chicken had some soft coating and wasn't spicy. Prawn Toast was great. The dishes tasted pretty mild but the place looks great and service is awesome.

I was soo looking forward eating here but left very disappointed.
Firstly we booked this several weeks before hand and when we turned up we were told they had a limited menu, that really upset us as many of the dishes we wanted were unavailable. They should have contacted us!

Then the service was soo bad, after entrees we had Peking duck and they didn't clear the plates, no one asked us for a 2nd glass of wine and when it came to the bill it seemed they didn't want our money, no one wanted to give it to us. There was soo much staff on hand but they just seem to miss the basics. The food was okay... you are paying a premium and I expected a lot better especially with the service. You can't be charging those prices dishing horrible service

Upmarket Asian restaurant with great food in a recently updated pub. Outdoor area for the puppies and good heaters. Great local catchup pub.

Happy Valley @ The Albert Park Hotel is BRILLIANT! Outstanding food, all the Chinese classics you love to see on a menu are there to enjoy. Every dish we have ordered has been faultless. The hotel itself has a beautifully calming ambience even when its busy. The service team are friendly and attentive. In particular, John is always welcoming and is an absolute asset to the venue. His menu suggestions are spot on and he makes us feel like Happy Valley is our second home. We recently moved to the area and due to its pure excellence we now eat here at least 3 times a week. YES IT IS THAT GOOD!

Authentic Cantonese Food with a chic vibe. We accompanied another couple for a culinary delightful meal that transported us back to wonderful memories of Hong Kitchens. Our main waitress Chloe was nothing short but an exceptional host for the evening, able to guide us with expertise through the menu and accommodating our dietary requirements. We enjoyed all our meals as they flowed out to us in a timely manner, which we all shared to satisfied level of contentment, (with just enough room for a dessert.) As we were with wonderful friends enthralled in conversation, we will return again to capture some images of the incredible meals and cocktails ?????

Great Straits Chinese food with distinct authentic tastes. Food quality was great despite it being a busy Friday night and service exceeded expectations at a time when it's tough to get good personnel. Well done to John and his team!

First time enjoying this pub and we were pleasantly surprised! Great venue, very relaxed, cold drinks and the food was incredible! Like really good!
Also, John was great, very attentive and nice to talk too.
