No before photos of the food because honestly we were too excited to eat. Amazing atmosphere. True credit goes to Lauren & Tim for taking on this Hotel. A well curated menu has something for everyone. Highly recommend the scotch fillet and the barramundi. We could not recommend this hotel enough. ????????

For the love of all that is holy, toast your burger buns. Poor effort.
It's not news that $25 doesn't go as far as it used to, that's for sure. However the $25 cheeseburger doesn't go anywhere. From the tiny patty to the IGA bun, this burger was mediocre. My wife actually asked if I got the kids meal as this thing was the size of my palm. A little salt and pepper wouldn't hurt either.

5 beers on tap, all pretty average. The staff should have had a couple of coffees to liven up before they started their shifts.
Better places in Kyneton to spend your money.

Had a wonderful Brunch at the Albion, with their steak special for lunch, the delicious calamari as a starter and a Guinness beer on tap to top it off. Very friendly staff and top notch service. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Kyneton.

From the moment we entered the pub, we were greeted with a smile. We sat in the front lounge bar and the staff were wonderful. Beth was an absolute pleasure, personable, efficient and very polite.

The calamari was the best I've had for years and the barramundi was crispy skinned and brilliant.

And if you're dining there, you must have the hand cut chips, delicious!

Well done Tim and team. We look forward to our next meal at The Albion!

Tim and Lauren have a great pub. Was worth the trip from Melbourne. All 4 of us had steak for lunch and they were all perfect.
The special scallop dish had amazing flavour too.

Great old historic pub with awesome food. Had the beef burger and chips, as fresh as can be and full of flavour. Was served by the owner Tim and another young girl who were very friendly and accomodating. Definitely worth a visit

2 stars, 1 because the food wasn't terrible and 1 because the manager was lovely.
Beef burger, calamari and chicken breast, all very small. Cooked well. Bloody expensive for the quality and quantity though.

First time visiting the newly owned Albion Hotel. Knowing of the chefs previous experience in a highly reputable hotel I ordered the Rost Biff and it was amazing. Cooked exactly the way I ordered it (if you ask for rare it will be rare), restaurant quality. The young staff were attentive and polite. Sticky Date pudding is a must.
Thanks you Tim and staff we will be back regularly.

We had a lovely family meal in the outdoor area. Heaters were on, comfy chairs and a huge table. We all enjoyed our entrees, mains and desserts. I'm so grateful for the excellent gluten free, coeliac safe options. It's a great menu! Lovely, friendly staff and great service

Awesome !!
Simply the best food you could ask for. This is the place that those in the know go. The chef here is amazing, his reputation is very impressive. Once you've tried the food you will most certainly be back. And don't just try his award winning Parma, try other items on the menu. Of course I had the Parma but I also tried the Steak Tartare, now that was the best Steak Tartare I have ever tasted. 5 STARS.

Delicious food and great service. Looking forward to coming back and having a wine with the chef ?

New owners are doing a lovely job updating this Hotel. Met friends for lunch last Friday. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Had a little kids corner that entertained the 4 year old with us for hours. The food was fantastic, made in house chicken parma. The best I've ever had. Didn't have their liquor licence quite yet, but the food more than made up for that.

A great addition to casual eating in Kyneton. Simple bistro fare handled well without a laborious greasy menu you'd usually find at a pub... excellent pricing should see it become a favourite and a perfect regular spot for anyone wanting to avoid their own kitchen.

Salmon way over cooked.
Steak full of gristle, couldn't eat it.
Smashed potatoes under cooked and lacked any flavour.
Sausage from casserole tasted ok but that was it.
1 star for chips and ambience .
Won't be back.

Cosy place to come on a cold, wet and rainy day. Was able to venture here for lunch over a weekend and was lucky to be seated right next to the fire - so cosy! Ordered the lamb and veggies with potato mash and enjoyed the veggies/gravy more than the sausages. Would've preferred if they were lamb shanks instead of in sausage form. Service was a little slow- took us a while to have our orders taken. We had to hail down one of the waiters from a far. Nice place to come and sit for a drink and some typical pub food.

Sunday lunch.Extra bust and extremely noisy. Food pretty good, but lady in charge unfriendly and take it or leave it attitude. They were flat out bust, so we ate our meal and left for coffee and chat at another cafe.

Food tastes great and decent portions on offer.
Centrally Located Pub/restaurant with excellent service.
I felt like the business is under staffed and the employees are trying to catchup all the time.
Excellent service here, everyone really friendly and one lady pretty funny too. Food exceeded my expectations. Staff were able to accommodate special orders - very professional and so friendly! I'll keep coming back.

The place has a cosy and quintessential Aussie hotel/pub feel with an eclectic mix of furniture and decorations. A great backyard for beer sessions on a nice day too. The food was served fresh and piping hot with a friendly service. Pleasantly surprised with the hearty and generous size of serving as shown by photos attached. Will go again to try a good variety of lunch and dinner options. 5 stars for us!

Nice food ' vegies uncooked. They had a large group in courtyard. I felt the staff was struggling. But I would definitely go again. My parma was really good.

Service was quick and friendly. Good was yummy. Staff wear their masks on their arm or below chin sounds if masks are important to you, be aware of this.

Completely forgot our meals. With all restaurants & food outlets closing at 9pm I had to go back to the rental accommodation and cook. ?
I previously lived in Kyneton and always enjoyed the Albion so I'm not sure what's happening. ???"

Food was divine! Our family all ate something different and the meals were 10/10. For a pub meal, I would rate the food better than some high end restaurants. Love supporting locals.

Just what the Doctor ordered; Loaded Fries and Garlic & Cheese bread for lunch! Delicious. The Mrs had Grilled Salmon, with Broccolini and Potato; which was unfortunately over salted (rated 3.5 / 5).
The beer range is Carlton, which means if you are discerning about your beer, you will struggle. The bottled beer does increase the range, I ended up with a passable Little Creatures Pale Ale.
Definitely worth a visit!

Great service
Friendly inviting staff
Food is what you would expect from a traditional Aussie pub. Very fresh and full of flavour.
Thanks to staff of the Albion for a great lunch

Stunning food! Great prices and friendly staff, tonight I had the salt and pepper calamari which was very fresh and well cooked - then the fantastic Slow Cooked Lamb shank, on special for $29! One of the best meals I've had in a while
