Pasta was good, although not a lot of options. Menu is pretty standard pub fare. Atmosphere is good, clean and modern interior.

I recently had a fantastic night out at the Beresford and I can't recommend it enough! The bar has a great casual vibe, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

We managed to snag an outside seat, which was lovely, but be warned - they fill up quickly! It's a popular spot for a reason. The outdoor area is cozy and intimate, but be prepared to move inside if you can't get a seat.

The meals were delicious, and the drinks menu had plenty of options to suit all tastes. We had a great night out, enjoying good food, good drinks, and even better company.

Overall, the Beresford is a top spot for a casual night out with friends. Just be sure to get there early to secure an outside seat! Highly recommended.

My favourite pizza place in Sydney, especially on Mondays. I have been a regular customer of the 50%-pizza Monday for a couple of months now and I'd recommend this pizza also when not discounted.
The prosciutto with rocket salad, the gamberini and sepia pizza are my favourites.
It is also a nice place for gatherings with 10-20 friends. The courtyard (on the interior) is very cosy and the manager is very friendly.

Great spot and great atmosphere. Had the rump, it was a Tuesday so happened to be only $20. Pretty good steak for that price although there was a fair bit of fat but it was cooked perfectly. Would have also liked a sauce with it. Chips were good as well.

Used to be our regular Monday spot for almost a year. But over time their quality and service depreciated while prices have gone up and reduced and limited options for happy hours now.
Lower quality drinks and wines for an increased price!
From burnt pizza plus 45+min wait on Mondays for food and long wait for drinks also. I understand it gets busy at times but how hard is it to manage staff and rosters according to the demand?

My last visit here on 22/4 was the worst unfortunately... first photo is a completely burnt charcoal pizza that I received, second photo is another pizza that I got after complaining and returning it back. The second pizza was even worse! Couldn't eat it and hardly ANY toppings and or flavour.

Very disappointed with the team. You have lost a big friend group that used to go here quite regularly on Mondays.

Stopped off here on a Monday evening more by luck than chance. To find that pizzas were half price and schooners were $6. Excellent value and delicious pizzas, we were lucky that staff found us a table for 4. Suggest you book so as not to be disappointed. Staff friendly and amicable, ? pizzas were delicious ? atmosphere was fantastic!

Nice place not too expensive with nice staff.

The table will need a bit of better cleaning .

However the DJ is good and the music is appreciable and relaxing .

Went there on a Sunday. Unfortunately happy hour prices are only valid when ordering at the bar not at the table. The bars are completely crowded and the stuff although very friendly and nice are often overwhelmed because people wanna take them up on the happy hour, prizes and order busloads of drinks or cocktails that take like 5 to 10 minutes to prepare per serving. If you just wanna beer your in line for 15 minutes. For the second round I was willing to pay the full price, so I don't have to line up behind someone ordering for 18 people.
Nevertheless, very nice place. Nice crowd.

I heard that Sunday evening is the happening time to be there, and I was not disappointed! Good drinks at reasonable prices, with a phenomenal patio, and packed dancefloor upstairs. The service was exemplary, our bartender was really friendly and she gave great recommendations for the beers she had on tap. I would definitely recommend this as the place to go on Sunday nights for a gay friendly atmosphere and scene.

I didn't order any meal. I only went for drinks. Service was fine. Nice place. The couple of times I went it was not super busy which was nice. Quite central. I will definitely come back.

The barramundi was a let down on Thursday night. Very small portion and the menu reads as though it comes with some Potato's but in fact it's some very tiny deep fried slithers of Potato's and not many of them.
Very pricey for a very small portion. Not loads of veg or vegan options. But the atmosphere is nice and the staff are lovely.

I love the Atmosphere and the Staff are out of this world ?. Food Amazing ??'? ? Venue's so stylish and Welcoming. Cocktails 5 ? ? and dancing upstairs. It doesn't get better. Who ever owns this Bar is a genius ??'? ? ??'? Bravo!!!!!!!!

Amazing: the Ragu reminded me of how my estranged mother would make it and I cried while eating. Would rate 6/5 stars if I could. The espresso martini I had earlier was also perfect.

Happy hour was great but the bathroom situation was ridiculous. This venue was absolutely packed with only 6 toilets for women (I can imagine it's similar in the men's bathroom). And the fact that dudes started lining up for the women's bathroom because the line grew that much for theirs, this is completely unmanageable. Y'all wild for this ? takes 20 mins to pee.

(Probably) not enough bar staff for the hours of our visit, great looking oval bar, central design leaves you "invisible" to staff all too often.
Generous "Happy Hour" and discount themes on most nights.

Went on Sunday for happy hour. drinks are so cheap. It took a while to line up at the bar. Pizza was nice. Huge crowd outdoors and loud music but no where to dance. Not ideal for chatting as it's too loud.

My second favourite local bar/restaurant. Always a pleasure sitting out in the sun in the courtyard. The food is always on point and experience is pretty much what you would expect from a Merivale establishment.

Best parts of the Beresford is the beer garden on a nice day or evening and the legendary happy hour. Food is quite good, with pizzas being the highlight. Service is usually friendly and the crowd is pretty relaxed. It does get very loud out back some nights, but it creates a fun atmosphere.

Spent a few hours here on a busy Saturday daytime in December in a group of 10 - wonderful staff, quick service and great drinks selection. We all had pizzas which were also good. The beer garden out back is huge, will definitely be back

Dining space accommodating to large crowd. Multiple bars allowing for quicker service of beverages. Amazingly spacious courtyard allows for a refreshing hangout experience. Dancefloor upstairs has 2 separate bars too. Always a great vibe!

Great food and service! Wednesday half price pizza is the best. They also have Happy Hour until 8pm! Highly recommend

A classic modern Australian pub with an Italian trattoria. The place is vibing, with an outdoor beer garden which always seems packed. Grabbed a couple of scotch and coke and the staff were pleasant. Will definitely come back

We sat outside and had the Thursday burger and beer $20 special. Ordering online was very efficient and the service was pleasant enough. The outside patio was packed with everyone enjoying the pleasant weather and drink. The chicken burger and Orchard Crush cider were delicious.

Enjoyed a few drinks with my girl friends last night. The place was really well lit which created a really nice atmosphere and the venue was buzzing with people. It was a little bit difficult to get a table but we eventually got one after 30 minutes or so. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff were wonderful! I would definitely come back here.

Great Merivale venue. Love that they have Byron Bay Brewery on tap!

I was asked to leave the venue due to intoxication. I was there for about 10 mins and I hadn't even had an opportunity to purchase a drink.

That venue displayed more characteristics of a zoo than a bar and was barely RSA compliant from what I could see. 

The venue manager was so unprofessional, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he was intoxicated himself.
I actually felt that I was completely singled out due to my race.

The security officers were very professional the entire time and did their best to calm the situation down.

Definitely not the greatest venue.

Great pub, food was fantastic. Dog friendly in the beer garden area. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I can recommend the calamari though the group l was with all loved their meals. Well worth trying this venue & cudos to all the staff for making us feel welcome. A+A+

Sunday's in Sydney feel different at The Beresford. Love there outdoor area. Great decor and fairy lights in the evening. They also do great food and great list of cocktails. Sunday night is crazy busy upstairs so get in early for a great night.

Very puppy friendly! Went on a busy night with our little poodles (@theoodlebrothers) - they had a really big day at the beach and found a nice place to relax and also get lots of pats and cuddles. Good vibe, service was efficient and friendly. Lovely cocktails. Would recommend ❤
