The Carlisle Hotel & Distillery

The service is absolutely shocking. Waited 15 minutes to order food (I was second in line). The lady serving beers decided to take food orders to help out, but instead of serving the next in line started serving the new people that just rocked up. The girls behind the bar had an attitude when we asked where the food was and was basically ignored. Good service makes a big difference to me. Definitely won't be back

I had a meal and a night's sleep here and it was ace. I hadn't been in Australia for like ten years so it was a great place to experience. It's pretty basic but it's cheaper than a youth hostel and there's no youths! The staff are really lovely. Oh and the Fish and Chips were fantastic. Thanks for looking after me!

Amazing pub with a stunning chef Amar!! We were there to celebrate sister's day which is a Hindu ceremony and were served with beautiful Indian dishes and dessert.
Staff in Carlisle hotel is always so helpful and attentive, too - millions of thank you for great time every time (almost every week) we visit😊

Enjoyed a big portion Sunday roast that I could not finish (probably a 4 star meal but 5 star portion). Big screen to watch the footy. Good beer - tried 2 and both were lovely. Kids loved the very clever kids menu and liked the meal (kids meals - like most other taverns) could do with a dash of vegetable or salad) Quite atmosphere which really with 3 kids we liked to be honest.

At the end of the working week we decided to go out for dinner to the Carlisle Hotel.
The Carlisle is a lovely neighbourhood hotel with a cozy atmosphere and feel when you walk in.
The menu choice was plentiful for choice!

We decided to have a sirloin steak dinner and creamy garlic prawns with rice.
The steak was superb!
The chips could have been cooked longer - and the crunchy slaw salad was fresh and delicious.
However, the mushroom sauce for the steak was an instant gel like sauce with 1 sloppy mushroom. Yuk!
The creamy garlic prawns with rice were delicious but again the sauce was floury with very little garlic flavour.
A real pity with such nice meals!
