The atmosphere is nice and a good spot for a drink but the food has gone drastically down hill. Previously I would have recommended this place for food. But went in for dinner recently and the food was awful. The burger was almost inedible, chips tasteless and garlic bread was cold and stale. Grab a drink here but skip dinner

We live nearby and we always pass by this place and finally decided to give it a go, it was really impressive from the service to their food recommendations!
Really cool place to enjoy your time after a long day and the bartenders were very chilled and very helpful! All the dishes they recommended were delicious and special, highly recommend the prawn pasta and the lamb shank!!!! You will never regret!!!

The only thing I will complain is the price is a bit high, but as long as the quality is good and the food and drink can make you feel happy, it worths.

Nice neighbourhood pub with a good selection of beers. The team are friendly and the meals were terrific. We had wings, duck, steak & fish. Everything was cooked well.

Not too bad but it could be so much better. There was some junk close to the tables where we were. Some old tables, chairs. We only had a drink and arancini balls. They were nice and we had a good time.

The food was fine and priced in a range you would expect. It was quite and a nice atmosphere to at however an issue arose where I was double charged where the server told me the card was declined when this wasn't the case. Without the time to check I paid in cash. When contacting the restaurant after they appeared helpful however wasn't reach out to after the call to provide details for them to check. A pretty fine venue in all but I'd make sure I wouldn't be in a rush to go anywhere when paying.

We were in the mood for a pub feed and this was a place in the area we hadn't tried.
The pub was not busy on Saturday night and dining room was half full. I could see that outside there's alfresco area with an open fire.

We ordered truffle arancini as a starter and had parmagiana and miso roasted eggplant for mains.
Arancini was nice. Came with tomato sauce

The parmagiana had a nice crumb but needed sauce as it got very dry shortly. The Miso eggplant was pretty mediocre and the veg that supported the base had very little flavour which contrasted with the strange flavour of the egg plant. I could taste a hint of miso but there was something else that didn't taste like miso and wasn't right. I can't pinpoint it but yes I don't like it. When did miso egg plant become a goto for pubs to have vegetarian option on the menu. I've had this last week at another place and it was also average

The dessert was like a chocolate fondant with raspberry sauce. It was nice enough.

Overall the mains were plain and I might come back for a drink as it's got a cozy area. A quick stop before shows at Seymour theatre

Great pub with high quality food and a good selection of craft beers, wines and spirits. Really good value, especially the weekday lunch special. And they've got the best staff!

We went here last minute for a group dinner on a Tuesday night. They accommodated us right away and service was great. The food was really good - 6 different meals and no complaints. Lovely place to sit, very family friendly and the girls on service couldn't do enough to help. We will be back ?

Very disappointing experience in all levels ...
So many nice memories of meals here and esp when heading on to Seymour Centre for a show ... but our latest exp will be our last
Booking via the app accepted then cancelled by email without explanation ... phone call revealed the app accepted booking when there was no availability. Told we could have a tabled booked in the Beer Harden. Arrived to realize that Beer Harden was free seating and we had no booking. General confusion and chaos by bar/reception staff... we were finally offered a table ... menu is very limited compared to the 'good old days' (has there been a change of owner ... or post Covid calamity?) and the food very ordinary. Duck confit not recognizable as such ... and Duck Inn chicken salad swamped by tart mustard sauce
For the price paid there is better value locally ... and sadly, too many memories of past meals enjoyed here to entice us back

Family and dog friendly - so we took the kids and dog for lunch. Good selection of beers to choose from with friendly service. Kids meals were a good size and all the meals were fairly well presented, well cooked and tasted ok. Nothing was amazing but overall a decent vibe and place to hang out for a while and grab a bite with the family

The pub is correct, if overpriced. We were there with a big group and they had a couple of waiters learning the ropes. The guy didn't seem to have much experience, so maybe he could have been nicer? The sausages with smash looked great, the gnocchi looked quite sad and small for the price and the chucked parmi was ok.

It was raining but the place would probably be lovely outside on a sunny day.

I like the Duck Inn, the staff are friendly and attentive and the beer is good. The mains we had today, the lasagna and the lamb shank, were generous and tasty. Unfortunately the expensive desert (a chocolate confection) looked and tasted like one of those deserts made in a factory somewhere. Very disappointed.

The hummus was one of the best we've had! Wish we had more time to try more beers and some more food.

Awesome place for dinner especially after a performance at the Seymour centre. Kitchen was open till 9pm on the Tuesday night we were there. Mushroom burger was very tasty and the steak was Cooked well. Fish and chips were crispy and filling. I loved th large selection of beers, I really enjoyed my beerfarm hazy IPA.

The Duck Inn Pub and Kitchen for us was a hidden gem. We were scouring google one rainy Friday night in search of a steak and also somewhere dog friendly and stumbled across this.

In the back streets of Chippendale, this place looks like your typical heritage pub and inside reminds us of an English one, compete with high benches and leather couches. There's also outdoor section at the rear of the pub that can certainly host a crowd. It felt warm inside with its atmosphere and a good crowd of an older demographic. We also love that the pub is dog friendly, in fact a well behaved dog even sat on a couch. It would be great to be able to purchase doggie snacks.

Their seasonal menu has great food.
We had a nicely cooked steak with veggies as well as one of their poke salads. We did find the food was quite slow to come out, however.

As we saw other food passing by, we were impressed by some of the other options like their Prawn linguine, crispy pork and pan fried salmon and keen to try those.

It is a pub so it's hardly surprising that there is a great selection of craft beers and beers on tap including tasting paddles which makes for a great way to try a range of varieties. Plenty of wine one and spirits too.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience here.

Cosy place very close to Sydney Uni, with a nice garden in the backyard of the premises. Good place to have a drink with friends!
