Absolutely my place to grab a meal when I am in the area! The staff here are always friendly and happy to help out. Meals are always generous and I often pick up a gem or two off their wine list (which usually has local wines available). When the sun is shining, they also have an outdoor area for the kids to play in. This is exactly what every country pub should be.

Our car club visited this pub for a birthday celebration. The hotel could not have given us a better welcome. Parking was reserved for our cars and our hosts went out of their way both before and during the event to make sure everything went smoothly. The food and atmosphere were fantastic; classic pub fare with some real treats on the menu. This will be a place that we would love to come back to both individually and for more club events.

Great experience and service. We held my husband's milestone birthday there for lunch and it was enjoyed by all. Sarah was great as host and did a fabulous job organising the event for us.

Very good traditional pub. Stopped in on a cold winter Thursdays night. The bar area was full of locals, the bistro much quieter.

However the staff were friendly, the restaurant clean and the food well-priced and hearty

Possibly the worst Parma I've ever had in my life.

Waited an hour for 2 Parma's to be brought out. Whilst seeing multiple patrons who ordered after us receive their meals first.

Soggy and undercooked schnitzel, with no flavour, bacon pieces and spring onions (traditional Parma?).

Left 3/4 of my meal on the table. Disappointing (and still hungry) to say the least.

Beautiful place, beautiful people, A1 meals. Beer on tap tastes great. Such a relaxing place. Rooms warm and comfy. Proper pub. Thanks Steve and Viv.
