My visit to The Forest Hotel was made fantastic by Ben, their outstanding bartender! He was attentive and had a great sense of humor, which made the evening enjoyable from start to finish. Ben's recommendations for local beers were spot on, and he knew the menu inside out. The bar had a cozy atmosphere with great music playing in the background, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a long day. If you're looking for a friendly face and excellent service, Ben is your guy! Can't wait to return for another round.

I held a surprise 70th Birthday Party for my hubby.
The function manager was helpful and everything went to plan on the day.
The function room is spacious and our 70 guest had lots of fun. Our guests complimented the food and the staff were friendly and made sure we had a great day. I highly recommend The Forest Hotel for a function!

I ordered the butcher's cut at $32.00 and it was the worst piece of pork chop ever that was cot into slices but still on the bone. It was piled onto a mashed potato 'slop' with some green salad leaves around. It was a truly unpleasant experience. I would not bother eating here again.

This pub has changed so much, I used to come here regularly as I worked close by and it was below average but now after the renovations it is unbelievable, the food is great, the atmosphere is great and so is the service. Although all the staff are super friendly and very professional, there is one girl in particular that really stands out, her name is Benz and she goes above and beyond her duty to make you sure you you enjoy your time at the pub. After having a few conversations with her, I found out that she travels hours to get to work, she works late shifts and starts early as well and always has the biggest smile on her face and happy to help with anything. It's rare to find an employee like that and the forest hotel is lucky they have her. I've worked as a customer service manager for years and I haven't seen anyone show such dedication to a role before and personally she makes my visit to the pub a very pleasant one.

This transformed pub has a great atmosphere and nice modern setting with a fairly wide selection of meals on offer to suit all persuasions, meat eaters and vegans too.

It can get busy at popular times like weekends, but has a lot of seating and plenty of parking so usually no trouble.

Meals are on par with what you'd expect, but a bit on the expensive side given this. Don't expect to spend any less than $35/head on a visit. But it will be a memorable time.

Forest Hotel is a large "pub", with multiple large rooms and sections. TVs are scattered around the venue for watching sports, as well as a very large and bright screen outside in the beer garden. Food portions are generous, and there are more then a dozen beer taps available, along with a large wine and cocktail menu. There's a separate kids play area with a playground and overall it seems like a newer, really nice looking venue.

The Forest Hotel never disappoints. From the moment we met with Kylie the Functions Manager to organise our work Christmas party event, we were in exceptional hands. Kylie and the hotel chef put together a scrumptious menu based on our budget. The taste of the food exceeded the delicious look of the food.
Kylie collaborated with us on the room layout and was extremely helpful with suggestions.
On the day the event we were blown away at how lovely the room had been decorated. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful.
We have had 2 major work events at The Forest Hotel and both events were a huge success. We would have no hesitation booking our next function at The Forest Hotel.

My old school mates got together here for lunch and a catch up. We all enjoyed the food but the desserts were amazing. This is the third time we've used this venue and we are planning a reunion of sorts there in May. We've found that the dining area gets quite busy and it can be difficult to hear each other (we're in our 60s) but it's still worth it.

There's plenty of parking. It's a block from Northern Beaches Hospital and I've used it before as a break space when visiting patients. The toilets are clean and accessible. There are indoor and spaces and a dedicated sports area.

The staff are polite and helpful. There is the option to order from the QR code on the table but we've found that the service is faster if you order in person.

There is easy access for people of all mobility levels. There are some vegetarian options but little for vegans. I've not had experience here dealing with food sensitivity/allergy issues.

This is a family friendly venue with a very safe looking kids play area.

Very slow service and no forethought when two football finals are on a Friday night they only have 1maybe 2 bar staff serving. Not good enough. Bar manager should be prepared and have enough capable bar staff to avoid a long line.
Same with food service. Be prepared please when you know it's a busy night

Great spot for children to play. Found veggie &GF options scarce, food over priced and slow to arrive bearing in mind how quiet it was at 6pm. But very convenient for an easy mid week meal!

I was enjoying a soccer game and i ordered some food because i was hungry and i have been waiting for my food for over 2 hours and i even went to the staff to ask and they said that my food would come in 10 minutes and i was still sitting her e waiting for another 20 minutes (mind you this was only a kid's cheeseburger ) so my advice from this is to get on top of your orders and make sure you customers are been feed and not left going home without eating, do better. (nice bathrooms and facilities tho)

We've been to The Forest Hotel many times. Had great meals, laughs with friends and too many drinks. But on this occasion I had a Caesar Salad with Salmon. I should have just gone to Woolies and bought a head of Cos lettuce. I got no only the leaves but I got then stem (whole). The Caesar dressing was running. Nothing like I expected and have had in other restaurants. Hope it was a one time only.

Ordered a Caesar salad today, paid extra $11 for prawns- presumably out of a can, 2 baby cos lettuce just plonked on plate, (not washed) sauce just splattered over it - not impressed. Clean, open and best of all, you can take pets in there :)

Visiting from America I wasnt sure what to expect. Went here to celebrate my niece's birthday and had a great time. The chefs Ryan, Kat, and Peach served up a delicious spread. My wife loved the tender Calamari and their cocktails are quite yummy, especially the The Forrest. There is a kids play area, and in a separate area there is a bar and pool tables as well as different televised sports events.
Would definitely recommend it for any occasion, whether it be casual dinning or celebrating any event.

The new menu was tasteful and the place looks awesome. Kid-friendly and the place/parking looks secure enough. Gives you a whole vibe whether you seat inside/outside. Winter time has the heaters on full blast so no need to worry about that. Compliments to the Chefs inside who serves us tasty wings, truffle fries, different types of pizza and calamari's. Would recommend specially if you have occasions with family and friends.

We reserved the "Stag Area" in the terrace bar for a birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. It's a great location, as there's undercover and outdoor tables, plus heaters if the weather is cold and private access to the main bar.
Hot canapes and pizza slabs were delivered on time and food quality was excellent.

It saddens me greatly to write this review. As a local, I look forward to coming to the Parkway nearly every Friday and Saturday after a hard slog at work. Previously they've never let me down with cold beer and good pizza. Tonight being extra hungry I ordered a steak and salmon for one. What I received was nothing short of disappointment. The salmon fillet was so over cooked as cardboard that it held it's rigid state and genuinely needed a knife and fork to be forcibly eaten. Turning over to redemption with my T-bone steak that was ordered to medium rare I received a steak that was bordering on medium well with the slightest pink tinge to it. Between both meals being over cooked I was literally not provided with suitable cutlery to even eat my meals. It got even worse when the mud cake I had ordered for my dessert was some 3 plus day old cake. For someone with a sweet tooth putting a cake in the bin after two bites was heartbreaking. The icing was the only thing of this meal that tasted fresh as it's all sugar. After spending $80.00 on dinner for one, I was left with regrets questioning myself as to why I didn't spend $20 on a reliable meal down the road at KFC.

Booked the function room. Very nice room, would recommend it as a venue.
The food served on the buffet was a bit ordinary in flavour and quality 6/10. If only they could get the calibre above mediocre pub food!
Bar service was good in the function room and staff were attentive.

This is a remarkable venue. I grew up with the old Parkway Hotel and this is an excellent successor. The food has been consistently brilliant, in fact steaks are often cooked to quite exact specifications. The rest of the menu is innovative but still satisfying pub food. The staff are wonderful and helpful. I cannot recommend this venue enough.

Loved the venue! The layout was great and the kids had the best time on the play equipment. Staff were super friendly and approachable. Food was amazing. The jalapeño burger melted in my mouth. Rosie was very helpful! Couldn't thank the staff enough for their hospitality.

The staff were all wonderful on a busy day. Taylor seated us quickly and efficiently (and with a smile!) when there were was no seating available. Bar staff excellent despite being flat out. We had a really lovely lunch, the food was excellent! We will be back Thanks

I was astounded at the quality of the staff and the food when I visited the forest hotel. The handsome young man behind the bar, Myles, showed me a great time, helping me explore my palette with a great knowledge of their range of beers. Myles went above and beyond with his service and I highly recommended heading there soon.

Great venue with even better staff. While I was confused on my beer of choice the amazing bar supervisor on duty, Myles, helped me discover new tastes my mouth had never explored. I would recommend the Forest hotel to anyone seeking a true pub experience.

It's ok, we've been going there for a few years on and off. Nice venue. Menu is now a little stale and it's a little pricey. 2 cocktails, 1 lemon lime and bitters, 2 glasses of wine and 3 mains and a garlic bread cost $152. The food was cooked well, portions are a little small, so no problem with the quality. My suggestion is that a little variety in the menu would be nice. I honestly don't think the menu has changed much in over a year but happy to be proven wrong by management. It would be nice to see a daily or weekly special that's different every time, so it feels more like a real restaurant rather than seeing the same dishes.

Great place to have a drink with friends while the kids play on quality equipment and a play room. Only negative is that service was really slow when I was there, we watched 3 people dry cutlery while one served. Food was good, fairly priced and floor staff were very friendly.

Attended on a busy Saturday night. The service was quick and friendly, and the meals came out quickly despite staff saying there would be a delay. Steak was cooked exactly as requested, pizza was tasty and fresh. Lots of beers on tap, including local craft beer.

The place is very pleasant, clean, lots of options available in terms of places to eat, sit or drink. The staff are uniformly very pleasant, helpful and efficient. Their food is slightly above average, perfectly fine pub food without being great. Not cheap - but then again not too expensive. We'll go back because it's a nice place to be and convenient

The food is awesome, reasonably priced and you don't wait forever to get yourfood, even when it's really busy! It has a great vibe! The outside area is a fantastic place to catch a game and have a few drinks with your mates! Great family place even though it can get really noisy when it is busy!

Went to the Forest last night for State of Origin, the atmosphere of the new place is great. They were really busy but all the staff were so friendly and let me know there would be a wait on food, once it arrived it was well worth the wait. I'll definitely be back!!

First time I went here was when it had first opened. Service and food was poor. I thought I would try it again after a friend said they had a positive experience.

It was a Friday night so super busy. Food took a bit longer than expected but like I said it was very busy.
The food was exceptional. I had the meat lovers pizza and it was delicious!!

Had a meal at this new pub (formerly known as the Parkway Hotel for the past four or so decades OR as The Antler Hotel when it was built then opened in the early 1960's)...I was impressed not only by the new look of this venue both indoors and outdoors - especially the children's playground next to the outdoor beer garden, but also the fine quality of the food we all consumed. Whether you are a local resident, working in the Frenchs Forest area or passing through on the way to the rest of the Northern Beaches (or heading back to other parts of Sydney or other areas of Australia), I recommend stopping by to have a meal or a drink at The Forest Hotel !

Great new venue. Haven't eaten there yet but I've been there a couple of times to meet friends for a quick drink.
The beer is fresh, service is friendly and efficient.
If they keep the quality as consistent as I've seen they will have a very successful business and and a great social hub that was really needed in the area.
