The Grandview Hotel Fairfield

Had a good time for the AFL grand final. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Even found a Lions supporter there.

Great hotel. Food was amazing. $25 steak night. Think it was 200 grams of sirloin with chips and salad. Cooked to my likings. Great atmosphere with cool locals and commandeering staff. Couldn't fault anything. Very chilled place. Friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back. Local knowledge was enthusiast. Love seeing a pub with a fireplace. Old place but extremely inviting. Bar staff were extremely welcoming which I love in a local pub. Cosy, clean, well priced. Thanks guys. Enjoyed my time here.

We were all happy with meaIs we had. I asked for a full receipt (showing meals ), but wasn't provided with 1,only with a transaction receipt, didn't realize til I got home.
Lovely big open fire, comfortable seats .Staff pleasant but overall there's room for improvement on the organization front, eg getting correct meals to right tables in good time.

Poorly lit and poorly heated. There was no one else in the dark glacial dining room of a Saturday night so atmosphere was lacking though the privacy did somewhat suit us given we had two toddlers in tow. The Parma is serviceable but the sauce it hardly flavoursome. Tasted very much like a coles brand passata atop a piece of chicken. Flavour was not lacking in the chips however which were completely overloaded with salt to the point where my blood pressure may never be the same. There was no cakeage which was a redeeming feature of the evening but it's not a venue I'll be returning to in a hurry

Great food and drinks at the Bistro Bar. Friendly service and convenient bottle shop. The Christmas Day Lunch function was fabulous.
