The room was well presented and mostly clean; just one small cockroach. Unfortunately the wifi did not connect even when I called for assistance, and the tv had very limited functionality.

Room was fine, though two single beds pushed together to be a Queen was a bit weird - especially with such a small doona/duvet.

New towels were delivered the next day, but the bed wasn't remade. We probably could have requested this, but didn't!

No front desk made the whole process a bit odd, and we had no idea if we could organise dinner/breakfast in the dining room.

That said, the price was good and the gentleman who checked us in was very kind and welcoming!

Very nice house. No one to serve us there and there was a telephone number to call. So if you don't have a local telephone line to call, you'll have to incur roaming call just to get the guy to tell you how to get to your room.
I stayed here for 7 nights during the Women's World Cup tournament. It is a 'home away from home' kind of place. About 7-minutes walk from Homebush train station, it's located in a quiet suburban and leafy area. Was a bit worried about finding food but was pleasantly surprised to find Chinese, Lebanese, Indian and Korean restaurants nearby.
An important thing to note is the close proximity to Accor Stadium (about 2 stations away is Lidcombe, whereby you can take the train at Platform 0 to Olympic Park). The hotel is about 30 minutes or so by train from the city centre and you can easily get to Circular Quay (Sydney Opera House).
A little shoutout to Andrew who waited up for me when I came back at 1 am due to train issues after one of the games and housekeeper Tilly's (hope I spelled her nane right) very helpful as well. Would defo return.

Just great. Andrew was so helpful. Nothing seemed to be problem. Fantastic value for money. I have told my friends about. Bonus is it's close to transport.
Thank you so much

Beautiful little boutique hotel, with heritage character. Spacious rooms. Tasteful decor. Friendly and helpful staff.

I stayed at Darcy's Hotel for three days and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience! The owner, a true gentleman, runs the place with such care and attention to detail, and the staff were incredibly kind and patient. They really took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and happy during my stay. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a vintage-style decor and a charming garden that I loved spending time in. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an elegant vintage decor and a lovely garden. The rooms are spacious and fresh, with a pleasant scent throughout, and I particularly appreciated the large and comfortable bed, as well as the convenient air conditioning. One of the best things about Darcy's Hotel is its location - it's so convenient for getting around the city, with both the train and bus stations just a stone's throw away. If you're coming to Sydney for a concert or just to explore the city, I highly recommend staying at Darcy's Hotel - I know I'll definitely be back again!

The best value for money you could buy! I stayed in a single king size bedroom and the room was huge! It was incredible. So much large than any 'basic" room I've ever been in. Comfy bed, working ac, huge wardrobe and tv. The location is close to Homebush station and only 30 minutes from the CBD. Friendly owner who helped me check in and made sure to give me individualized attention to help me. Overall very amazing hotel, only downside is not having a private bathroom for the single room but wasn't an issue due to the fact it was clean and had a large amount of shampoo, conditioner and body wash to use! Will definitely stay there again when I'm back in Sydney

Not a great experience. The TV had a purple picture (too old), WiFi was not working, the room had breakfast included and this was not offered, the AC made so much noise and falling to sleep was very difficult. The place also lacked cleanliness. Will definitely not stay here again!

Darcy's was a stunning place to stay, gorgeous old building well maintained, comfy beds, beautiful gardens, icy cold A/C, perfect to come back to after a concert. Only 'complaint' I would have liked if the bathroom wasn't shared but definitely not a deal breaker. Absolutely loved our stay here, would 100% stay here again. Thank you!

Spotless clean, spacious, has all required facilities . Wonderful host Anthony , will definitely book again when in Sydney. Shared spacious fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful lounge and they get daily newspapers. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, have wardrobes and full length mirrors, well ventilated. There is ground floor and first floor. There is a big lift for 1st floor and you have ramp from parking to pull your luggage's up.

What a gem. Less than a km from Strathfield Station in nearby Homebush. A large room on the ground floor that was clean and well appointed. Chairs to sit in and a very comfortable bed. Noise from the halls could be an issue but noise during our stay was not an issue. We were mindful of TV noise travelling to other rooms and kept ours quite low when it was on. Checking in with Andrew was a breeze. We will be keeping Darcys on our list of possible locations to base our stay in Sydney for future reference. Could have done with a Wi-Fi code on check-in. Had we been staying longer we would have had to request the password. Not a biggie.

Cancelled on me the night before I was staying there. No attempt to call my number or email me. Probably a blessing in disguise I didn't have to stay here.

A great place to stay, clean and everything you need. Besides no tea and coffee in the room and no breakfast serviced in the dinning room. Walking distance to awesome resturants.

Amazing historic hotel in a quiet location in Homebush. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable to me but the rest of the room, which included an ensuite, was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. And the continental breakfast in the lovely breakfast room was an unexpected bonus. There is free but limited onsite parking, and there is also free, unrestricted street parking. Overall, highly recommended. Thank you to host Kevin and his staff.

It was like taking a step back in time beautiful old home with good old fashion service. Extra comfortable bed and fantastic ambience. Such a relaxing enviroment.
Kevin (one of the owners) rescued me on the day.
With covid and only being availed one hr a day visit at the hospital where my husband had surgery and no where to go. Rainy and windy. I rang the number on the door explained my situation and he was so obliging and helpful.
Thanks again Kevin you are absolutely wonderful gentleman.

Well what a lovely stay we have had. We were welcomed by Kevin at midnight and shown to out large clean comfortable room. Everything you need in a hotel, nice and quiet and bed really comfy. Breakfast was good with a choice of fruit, bread, jams and hot drinks. Nothing was too much trouble and Kevin was a fabulous help. Lovely sanctuary away from the Hussle and Hussle of Sydney central. All the best for 2020 and for anyone reading this go for it you won't regret it. Lisa
