We called in here with friends yesterday. A wonderful experience! The young staff were very friendly and enjoyed a bit of a joke - knowing how to respond to a bit of fun. The crispy chicken burger was the best I have ever had. Beautiful flavours! My husbands egg and bacon burger was the same apparently. Our friends meals were also excellent. Great atmosphere, great staff and food. Well done Kentish Hotel.

Me and my friends popped in for a quick meal while we charged up the Tesla. We had spent 40 minutes looking over the menu on the drive there, only to discover that we were looking at the Kentish in ADELAIDE! But boy oh boy were we impressed by the INCREDIBLE and genuine customer service at The Kentish Tasmania. I have to give a shout out to the lady (didn't get her name) who has been there 15 years (or is it two weeks? She's still learning...) for her warm, sweet hospitality. We got the brisket burger and a whole bunch of cabinet sweets to keep us going for the remainder of the trip up to Launceston. Everything was delicious and fresh. I believe the sweeties are baked onsite as well, but don't quote me on that. 10/10 would recommend to anyone passing through.

Best lunch stop ever! We were passing through and stopped here for lunch. I got the chicken burger and it was probably the best chicken burger I've ever had. The next time I'm in the Oatlands I'm definitely coming back.

Very friendly staff.
Serving all-day breakfasts, and tasty-sounding lunch options.
I had the scrambled eggs with relish, and a side of roasted tomatoes. It was very tasty.
I took away pieces of carrot cake and lemon tea cake. Both were delicious. ??'?

Friendly staff! Beautiful food, we had the brisket burger and chicken schnitzel which both tasted delicious! Chicken was juicy and the flavours of the brisket burger where just the tastiest! Honestly if you want a good vibe and great food check it out and play some pool! That's what we did and was a Stella time in a little country town.

I recently dined at the Kentish Hotel and had a fantastic experience. My waitress, Tamika, was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our experience was enjoyable from start to finish.

As for the food, the brisket burger and chicken burger were both excellent. The meat was cooked to perfection - the brisket was tender and juicy, and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The burgers were served on brioche buns with a variety of tasty toppings, making for a truly delicious meal.

Overall, I highly recommend the Kentish Hotel for anyone looking for a great food on Oatlands and excellent service. Tamika was a standout waitress, and the food was top-notch. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

Tried Vegetarian Mishroom Shawarma here, it was worth the stop.
The Kentish Tasmania situated in the rural and historic midlands town of Oatlands provides a terrific base to explore the numerous attractions in the area. It is close to equal distance from Hobart and Launceston in the captivating Midlands or what we are now calling the heartlands along the Heritage Highway. The town is the most intact Georgian town in Australia, with some 87 original sandstone buildings dating back to the early 1830s. Almost 200 years of history, excellent photographic opportunities and the ideal Tassie cold in winter warm in summer climate.

Went there for breakfast twice and it was fantastic. The staff there were great and very helpful and friendly. The meals and coffee were great. I won't be stopping at Campbelltown any more when I can go here.

There was a wait for food.....And then it came out, simply delicious and easy to see and taste that it was cooked fresh and to order, in this case the pot pie was ordered and the wait was soon forgotten, really amazing eating and an easy 5 stars !

Not once but twice! We came back for breaky after dinner at the invitation of the charming host/owner.

This beautiful family owned local pub is a must stop on your journey through Oatlands. Full of heart and soul. Currently doing renovations but still full of style and class.

Great food. Great service. Try it out and experience some good old hospitality.

Stumbled there for lunch after visiting Callington's and we're pleasantly surprised! The space was chic and the staff provided excellent and warm service. The coffees were perfectly made and everyone really appreciated the flavorful food.

Worth skipping the rush in Campbell town and stopping in Oatlands.

Booked late for Morhers Day Lunch 9 adults and 2 children. This was no problem the very accommodating waitress, suggested a drink in the bar while she set our table
The service was great, the meal was delicious. Anyone wanting great customer service should go to the Kentish.

Price hike recently. I've enjoyed this place enormously before and they still do a great coffee. But the tables were sticky and there's a $2.50 surcharge to eat in. We had a very modest lunch of chicken and pesto toasted sandwich (delicious), two crumpets with vegemite, and a coffee, and that was $27. Sad to say, that's a deal breaker.

We're vegan and decided to try our luck here after not being able to find any useful information about eating options in Oatlands. What a piece of luck! The helpful and friendly staff explained how the vegetarian dishes could be made vegan without any fuss whatsoever. The food was great and the vegan pumpkin cookie was a real treat. A lovely atmosphere and a great place to stop in. Well done.
