I've been wanting to come here for ages, and it was well worth the wait.
We had a fantastic seat in a corner booth and could appreciate the architecture, design and ambience of this space. It reminds me of a Tom Dixon designed restaurant we loved in London.
The food was great, and we tried a lot across the three do us...
So we had both of the Brazilian pastries - I would definitely go for the beef one again!
We had the chorizo and the morcilla sausages and the morcilla was as good as San Telmo! But so much closer to home!!!
Pan fried Provolone which my Italian husband loves. I don't think I've ever had it fried before and it works!
I am keen to try the prawn cocktail now retro!
Mains
We shared all our dishes which was great with so many options to try.
Ok the beef Wellington is divine -and could have easily eaten one to myself but it was easily shared across the three of us.
We also ordered the Niçoise salad which was beautifully cooked (rare) tuna.
The 6 jumbo prawns...
Chips and their mac and cheese. Our American guest wasn't too happy with that.
We left very full indeed and enjoyed a couple of their cocktails too. The smoking negroni was pure theatre at the table. My dirty martini was perfectly dirty too! We also enjoyed a lovely Tasmanian Pinot Noir.
All up walking away for under $450, so great value for the quality of the food and atmosphere on offer here.
What really made our evening was the fantastic service! Our waiter Pedro from the moment we arrived, was perfectly attentive and happy to guide us through the menu and make some suggestions too.
As a local, we will be back and look forward to a repeat of a great evening, and we can't wait for summer to enjoy the outdoor space.
Thanks Pedro for being together a wonderful night!
