The Leveson

Dined here for lunch on Saturday after rejecting our original option. Nothing special from the outside but once inside it was a renovated pub. Not wide but long. Food was excellent and service was to match. Not over bearing.
Will be back shortly on a Sunday for the accoustic sessions.

I ordered the chicken Parma because it was highly rated as the 3rd best in Victoria by a reputable review site.

Overall, it was decent, but I'm not typically a fan of chicken Parma. The chicken itself was tender, and the fries were flavorful. It's a solid choice if you're into Parma, but it didn't particularly stand out for me.

Friendly casual local pub in North Melbourne. A range of beers & wines on offer. The Parma is great value.

The Parma's here are huge! I wouldn't have been able to finish one. It's just as well I settled on having fish and chips which were pretty good and went down nicely with a pint of pale ale. This was my second visit to The Leveson. I'm sure there'll be more.

Still great after all these years!

It's been a long time since I had last visited The Leveson but I'm happy to report that it is still great.

Many years ago, The Leveson's chicken parma was rated one of the best in Melbourne at a parma rating website. I didn't try it today but the sample I got from the kid's version was enough to confirm that it is still great.

Today we had the mussels, steak sandwich and kid's chicken parma. The steak sandwich was great with generous bit of steak in the sandwich. The kid's chicken parma was very generously portioned and even came with salad, a drink and ice cream (2 scoops!).

The service was excellent and very friendly.

This place is a Melbourne institution. If only we could visit more often.
