The Lucky Hotel

Came the lucky hotel for one night before a triathlon race! The room is nice, comfortable and clean.
I was scared about the noise from the pub but you actually don't hear anything from the room!
Ideal location and great food too! :)

Super awesome atmosphere. Great food menu, the 200g rump steak and fried squid were perfect. Service was excellent, checking in on the table, making sure everything was good. The wait time for food is a little long, but it was super busy so unsurprised. I'm definitely coming back again.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights in a balcony room.
Pros;
- absolutely amazing shower, very spacious and great pressure
- comfy pillows and bed
- clean
- air con works well
- great location, tram station right outside
- quiet
- brilliant TV
- lovely reception staff

Cons;
- the light flickered pretty much all of the time and room was pretty dark
- sometimes the bathroom would stink of sewage, i think it came from the drains
- the balcony door wouldn't lock
- main door locked but the manual lock didn't work
- can't see much from the balcony as big plant pots are in the way
- kettle didn't work
- there was no mirror in the bedroom, only a big one in the bathroom
- bit of a silly one but the toilet roll was extremely thin and ripped so easily 😂

Overall, I would stay here again but it wouldn't be a top pick for me personally.

I loved staying here, the rooms are cosy perfect for a one or two night stay. The room was so clean and fully equipped with a kettle, tea, coffee, milk and hairdryer. The personal little touches of a chocolate on our bed was beautiful and the service was great. We booked a standard room and we loved the view of the courtyard it was lovely. We had lunch there which was great and a nightcap of Cocktails when we got home from checking out Newcastle. The location was perfect too, the light rail was right at our door and the ferry was close too, so many cafes, pubs and restaurants around the area, we'll be definitely back. I would highly recommend this place it was awesome.
