What a great find on the way to Adelaide from Broken Hill. The Manna Hill Hotel is a must visit, Di the owner was very welcoming, come on sit with me by the fire. It was cold outside. The inside is a treasure trove. Free camp next door as oh so clean toilets, just put a donation in the box/tube. Help keep these lovely places going, we need them. Thanks Di for the warm fire.

Absolutely loved this place, the lady running everything was fun to talk to and I enjoyed seeing all the interesting things on display. Museum was $2 entry and is just a room filled with objects from past Australia which might not interest some people but I still got a lot of value from it and wanted to support the hotel.

Instant coffee was meh but jam cookies were great. Place has snacks, soft drinks and small gifts you can purchase for the road too.

The hotel is open, run by the delightful Di. Di is a history and train buff, she can tell you of the history of the area and the trains that use to pass through the place. Well worth the stop :)

The rest area is great for an overnight kip, surprisingly quiet given it's proximity to the highway.

You can pull over for a break where there is a rest area on the left side of the road in the township and over the road is the Historic Manna Hotel and bakery. The Hotel appears to have been closed for many years while the bakery no longer has a roof! The stonework and the amount of work put into these places in the 1800's was incredible! Manna hill also appears to be a ghost town with a lot of history behind it. The town was obviously built for the wagons travelling between Broken Hill and Adelaide - Port Agusta e.t.c.

Absolutely brilliant hotel opposite the Mannahill Railway Station. Located on the Barrier Highway between Adelaide and Broken Hill. A great place to stop and have a coffee and cake and meet the legendary Di. Very welcoming and has loads of historical artifacts.
