Hands down the best meal on the south coast. Relaxed vibe but exquisite tastes. Never had a bad meal yet and been coming for a few years. Dino and his team are unpretentious and super passionate about what they put in the table.

We had the best lunch. Big statement but you will not find a better kid's meal in Australia than the wood-fired steak. Highly recommend.

Quality Fine Dining Restaurant food.

March 30, 2024. Another visit to our favorite Hotel. Once again the food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended. Ken and June.

January 2024 We shared a 'whole Lamb shoulder' cooked in their pizza oven. AMAZING! For a side dish we choose the baked cabbage. Awesome. They were awarded a 'HAT' in the 2024 Sydney Morning Herald 'Good Food Guide'. Well deserved. Ken and June

Unfortunately, The Milton Hotel is on a downward trend - a victim of its own success. Poor service, expensive wines and a surcharge of 15% on a Saturday night, which was not mentioned! And very loud when the band starts up right beside where you are dining.

We made a booking here for Sunday lunch expecting it to be busy. It turned out to be relatively quiet after school holidays had ended, but that suited us just fine as we picked a spot to dine on the balcony. The service was great and complimented the food and drink. We shared fish fingers, sashimi, pork scotch and roast cabbage between us and were very impressed by the quality, flavor and serving sizes. Compliment this with a few of the delicious locally brewed beers and you've got a great long lunch sorted. Would highly recommend to anyone staying or passing through the area.

The food is phenomenal here. The venue is unassuming, but the food speaks for itself.
This local haunt is arguably the centre of Milton for many a fun weekend night for young folks and it shows. Had their prawn curry awhile back and it was amazing. Best thing i've ever had. I cannot wait to come back.

What a brilliant spot! Awesome beers from the brewery on-site, attentive friendly service, and the food!? Well. The food was epic. We ordered far more than needed but it was lick-the-plate good. Prawns and cabbage were absolute highlights for me (and iceberg lettuce? How do you make lettuce taste that good???). We will sing about the Milton Hotel from the rooftops and will definitely be back to enjoy the view over a long lunch and a few more rounds of dangerous ales next time, while the kids enjoy the playground instead of nicking my food ? thank you for a great evening to the whole crew!

A delightful surprise. Haven't been back to this pub in 10 years. It's been renovated so you can enjoy drinks outside looking over onto the water. Food was delicious and service fantastic. Love that it's dog friendly and has a great outdoor area for families.

Dinner with family over the June long weekend. Great atmosphere and the local ales were top shelf. The food unfortunately was sub standard. All 5 diners had either Wagu beef or the lamb rump. Both dishes were so chewy we left our meals unfinished. To the credit of the wait staff they acknowledged the poor quality of the food and discounted our bill. Won't be in a rush to return.

The food here is so, so good. Everything was delicious and quite memorable. One of the best meals i've had in a while and reasonably priced. There is "good food", and then there is setting the bar so to speak. This place is definitely setting the bar... Keep it up.

Amazing food, great beers, fabulous views and unbelievable service. Dean was outstanding and really took care of us and made our lunch very special. The brisket was a highlight along with the parfait. And the pretzel and miso sundae- random and fantastic!

Great location, beautifully renovated, impressive (won't suit everyone) menu and clearly a significant investment in craft beer sales......but.
The Sunday we attended for lunch they were clearly understaffed, (staff were apologetic and "doing their best").
The "Sunday Surcharge" on purchases seemed at odds with the constant queue at the bar (sole barmaid serving lunch crowd) and the inability to provide a table for lunch.
The food was of a standard above "normal" Pub fare, the prices reflect this (extra for most side dishes) and are something to consider.

Wow - even our dog thinks that this place deserves a hat! We drove 2.5 hours for lunch, high exceptions and hopeful that the "dog friendly" with a chefs hat was going to live up to expectations! Blew us away with service as soon as we arrived and the menu is something you'd expect some urban kitsch fine dining restaurant in Sydney! Amazing beverage menu, beers were a stand out and just fast high quality bar staff that were friendly under festive season assault!

The food here is truly incredible. I can't believe a cabbage can taste so good. You can honestly eat it as a whole meal. The wagyu is also amazing. The in-house beers are good too. Can't speak higher of the food here.

When I walked in for the first time I was expecting it to be the usual pub food and was a little surprised when I first saw the menu but wow... these guys know what they are doing. And it's well priced for the quality of meal you're getting.

The staff have always been friendly. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're up for an awesome feed and beer.

Amazing venue. Fitout looks incredible. Beers were sensational. Customer Service, rubbish.

When tourism is your lifeblood, you should aim to make your guests feel welcome. This didn't happen. I won't be going back for that reason and that reason alone

I'm not one to give reviews, but this would have to be one of the best meals we've had in a very long time. The Wagyu beef and scallops were cooked perfectly and the wood fire vegetables were brilliant.

Washed down with the locally brewed beer was the topping.

Good beer
But waited 35 mins and no one came to our table to take out order
So we finished our beer and left
Nice place
Great beer
But definitely need to prepare better staff wise so they can handle the influx on weekends.
And staff that are working should be more efficient, Or don't tell people to take a seat and we will be with you shortly if you can't meet that statement.

A must visit if visiting Milton/the South Coast. Take note of the trading hours and plan to come. Not your standard pub food - amazing seafood and other produce - vegetarian options too. Try the fish! Lots of locally brewed craft beers (Dangerous Ales) on tap and available from the bar - everything from standard styles to "experimental" beers. Could do with one or two more staff members but the staff there did a great job.

The food is on the higher side price wise but it was absolutely delightful. I shared the $96 lamb shoulder with another person and it was Devine. Great ambiance and a popular local spot, you'll definitely want a booking on a busy night. The service was friendly. A must do if you are visiting.

Good and friendly service. Good selection of wines and trendy beers.
Short menu helped to make a decision. Didn't regret: tasty and juicy steak. Wouldn't mind more veggies included on my plate. Good experience. I love music but the band should know that too loudly is just noisy.

We've been a few times now and have had such great service and delicious food every single time. It was really busy this weekend but you can tell the staff are going out of there way to facilitate all the tourists flooding in on the long weekend. Such a great place for the kids too, heaps of room for them to explore in the back garden. Our favourite place to visit when we go to Milton.

Only like 3 staff working today - one person on the bar and a very big line up. But she was not trying to get through it any quicker. Place was quite busy and was difficult to find some where to sit so we tried to find a staff member to ask if it was okay to sit at a particular table and there was just no one working. We ended up having our one drink then going instead of eating there because the service was just minimal, not personal at all and quite frankly need improvement. Suggest putting more staff on and a bit of customer service training.

I have been to a few decent restaurants in my days, unfortunately this is not one of them, real pity actually as the building and the restaurant inside look great. The boutique beers are cool.

The restaurant waiter was exceptionally rude, like proper rude. ordered 2 steaks, one MR the other MW, the waiter tells me rare is the only way to eat steak, shakes his head walking away saying no no. When he brings water to the table I ask again for MW, no response.

Guess what both steaks MR. My guess is he didn't even tell the kitchen.

Maybe the waiter thinks it's a Michelin star experience, guess what, not in downtown Milton.

Lovely beer garden for both kids and adults. Food and drinks are great but a touch on the pricey side and could use a couple more veggie sides. Overall a really nice place to relax for lunch or dinner.
