Went here for a work function and was impressed with the private dining area as well as the atmosphere and vibe of the bar. Food was fantastic and although I'm not a huge fan of oysters these were pleasant.

I recently visited Morrison's Oyster Bar & Grill after its renovation, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The new dining room has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the updated vibe adds to the overall experience. The food was cooked brilliantly, with most dishes hitting the mark perfectly. However, I was a bit let down by the steak, as it was advertised as steak with sauce Diane and mash, but it turned out to be a traditional steak Diane. Despite this, the wine selection was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. Overall, Morrison's is definitely worth a visit!

Walked in on Good Friday for dinner and were warmly welcomed without a reservation. All staff were really friendly and accomodating to us dining with a toddler. Food was really good. Loved the crab pasta dish and our son thoroughly enjoyed his chicken and chips from the kids menu. Would highly recommend and will definitely return for client business lunches. Thanks Morrison's!

We had dinner there and it was Amazing!! We had bread, oysters and the patè for entrees, sensational and good portion sizes. For mains we had steak, crab pasta and the fish. Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavours well balanced. 10/10

We ate here today, and I was super impressed. The staff were amazing, professional, and friendly. We had a few chats about life and current issues and the food. The food is next level. The steaks were so good! The gravy was to die for. The sides were also brilliant. My tip! Just go and order. We left full and excited that we chose the venue. Sorry, I don't have more photos, we were too busy eating!

Was looking for a place that serves oyster and also dinner. Came across this place.

Food was alright and it was alittle pricey to 2 of us.

Service from staff was great. They were attentive and has a smile on them whenever they speak.

It was alittle noisy and talking to each other over the dining table can be quite tedious.

Overall, good dining experience.

My now husband and I had our first date here 12 years ago. We come back every year for drinks! Amazing atmosphere. Amazing cocktails. Thank you to the awesome barman on Saturday night who made me the most amazing off the menu cocktail!!

the oyseters were decent, the burger Patty was dry, too salty, definitely not the best, but the chips were okay, and the pasta was decent too, creamy but has a lightness to it becuase of the citrusy juice?

Worst part was we wait 1 hour for the mains. Waitress said it's cus we had some oysters left but no one checked with us and it was very hard to get waitresses attention.

Ambiance was really really nice. Great spot for post work drinks/catchups

The cheeseburger was great - tasted like what a Macca's cheeseburger should taste like.

The profiteroles were a nice change of pace (though definitely one to share - I finished it all by myself hehe - no dinner for me). Coffee was ok too.

Ok vibe - great for corporate peeps who work near by or a place for a lunch if in the city.

Thank you to the worker who waited to let me record the video of the chocolate being dropped onto the dessert. So good.

Very friendly service but slow making dishes, fabulous oysters very sweet and tender, we ordered three different kinds as a plate each of the kind tasted good, the vinegar source was delicious with garlic and onions in it, we also ordered crab as the chef recommendation, it got muti-layers with tastes, but salty but fits with us, crab meat as side dish on the plate. Very good start with our SYD vacation travel! Recommend!

Awesome restaurant. Super friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere, kind of reminds of a NY vibe. The food was also very good and we ordered the cheeseburger ???"??'?which was yum! 100% recommend to visit.
We had a table tucked in near the window which was nice and quiet but also a bit difficult to get staff attention at times.
The food was good overall. I enjoyed the oyster and scallop entrees and the seasonal greens with XO. The steak was only ok for the price.

There were 4 of us, but only 2 sets of cutlery on the table.
The pasta taste so bland and the risotto was nothing special beside the colour.
The burger is average. Tasmanian pasific oysters charges $3 for the happy hours. Had 6 drinks but the 2 of them were charges full price on happy hours.

Since this was an oyster room, my daughter and I decided to check it out. We do enjoy our oysters after all. Despite not having made any reservations, they accommodated us and was able to seat us at a table right away during a busy rainy night. The food was delectable and we polished off our plates. My daughter and I definitely enjoyed the oysters we ordered! (note that we visited the venue 6 months ago)

I came here for $1.50 oysters on Wednesday night and I would visit again just for the oysters, but not the food. The service was nice and the oysters were the tastiest I have ever had, but there were shells left in some of the oyster. We also had the food here but it tasted very odd (not yummy) and we barely enjoyed eating it.

The cheeseburger tasted like it was straight from McDonald's (but comes with about a $30 price tag) and the trout was nice but the sauce was very offputting. Overall, I would only come here for the oysters and nothing else.

Really great oysters! We had the rib-eye and the dry aged burger, both were cooked really great! Would definitely recommend the rib-eye to anyone who visits. The burger buns could have been a bit softer, but that's a subjective preference.

Overall really great experience!

We planned a work event here and the events coordinator could be quite unresponsive at times requiring multiple followups. On the day the food came out very slowly. We requested the canapes to come out 12:15 and the slider and fish and chip platters to come out at 12:30 and at 2:30 the platters still hadn't come out with half our left of our event. Overall it was very enjoyable but definitely lots to improve on!

This is a quirky experience in the heart of the Brisbane CBD with good food, great beverages and a cool vibe.

Located on the door step of the Rocks is the Morrison B&O room. Decked out in urban industrial, it's a low light "kitschy" vibe, which gives the place a more intimate feel.

The food menu is great and there is something for everyone on there. I must say the sheer physical size of the menu meant that we were constantly trying to find room for it on the table (consider a smaller format).

The oysters are of course seasonal, we had the Sydney Rock oysters and they were sensational.

The meals were cooked to perfection, the signature steak on the menu was on point.

There was a trainee staff member on the bar and this aside, the experience was fantastic. The senior bartender was knowledgeable and a great mixologist.

Our bill was about $140 per person with appetizers. This was good value considering the food we ordered.

Overall this was a fantastic night out. I'd highly recommend this venue.

Absolutely sensational! Head Chef Peter Cassidy has taken the food to the top level, simply fabulous. Make sure you try the prawn cocktail and the crab cakes, the best in town. Our entire team loves this place.

We had a great meal here. We had not made a reservation and got seated right away even though we were informed we had to leave in 1,5hrs since they were fully booked. The restaurant was not even half full when we left, but assuming the current situation with staff shortages they did not risk to overbook it.

(2018 Review).Famous for its oysters. The public bar has a good choice of burgers. Happy Hour from 1700. The restaurant food is excellent, but the cheapest red wine is $49 per bottle.

(Update Feb 22: Good news is that 4 years on, the cheapest bottle of red is only $50 per bottle).

Food is good but nothing special. Drinks are really good.
They took 20 minutes to serve me a bottle of sparkling water. I've order 5 starters for a table of 2 and explicit said to NOT bring all together. After 1h waiting time all dishes came together and of course there was no space at the table. Also before asking for the bill had to remind them I was waiting for the wine I've order with the starters. Place wasn't even busy, just an simple Sunday of an empty Sydney due to extended weekend (queen's birthday) so there is no excuse for taking so long...

One of the best burgers in town. Had a short time for a quick bite so grabbed the Morrison Burger. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Came with Duck Fat chips which were insanely good. Quick, professional, knowledgeable and friendly service topped off my quick meal.. Will be back when I have more time to get to know this place better.

One of the best dinners I've had in a long time. Market fish was fantastic. Sides and salads had the best produce, really simple but amazing dressing.

Service was great - Arno looked after us really well and the wait staff made excellent recommendations and could tell they actually enjoyed the food also.

Perfect for a midweek dinner without breaking the bank. Left feeling great.

Can't wait to go back.

Excellent place for after work drinks and a feed. It's usually packed so it would be best to make a reservation. The steak here is fantastic and the happy hour oysters did not disappoint.

Everything was spot on during our last stop here for a small lunch. As always, we enjoy good quality NSW rock oysters; each with their unique saltiness, creaminess, and flavour. We also enjoyed the beef tartare. BUT the muscles were the star; with a recipe that I have not tried before. Delicious! I will leave to your imagination and to try it.

We dropped in for a cold beer and we ended staying for lunch. They have the best traditional prawn cocktail! And a very good duck liver parfait and great duck fat chips. The staff were lovely and the location is great. We will definitely be going back for a proper long lunch!!

Giving one star for the martini and one for the parfait, they were decent. Thats all that was.Ordered two specials and they were both ridiculously salty. Mussels were either empty, tiny and bitter or unopened and not to be eaten. As a chef Id rather remove them as a special than offer them to customers. Id quit my profession before I charged people for this food.Feedback was given but I still paid in full never to return here again. Ive been here many times but that one experience is unfortunately the end of our relationship.
