We are planning to hold a function here in 2025. So we decided to pop in and finally check it out. It was wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff and service were delightful and friendly. Pricing in the dining room is reasonable and on par with other venues and the portions are great. We were shown around the function room last week by Katie and she was so knowledgeable and helpful. We will be returning and can't wait to book our function.

The decor from the time we walked in was amazing particularly the real tree going up to the roof. Great renovation! The food was good - I had the duck which was cooked to perfection but I think the hasselback potato and the broccolini needed a little more cooking. My friend had the vegetarian lasagne and said it was one of the best she's ever had and would order it again in a heartbeat. The waitress was very sweet, efficient and unobtrusive

Great atmosphere, perfect combination of old meets new in this beautifully renovated hotel. Had a scotch fillet which was cooked to perfection for $41, good value these days. A couple of little creatures pale ale to go with it. If your looking for a mainstream beer...Carlton draught, great Northern etc...your out of luck, but if you like to mix it up with more craft beers then it's a great spot!

Astonishing! When my food came to the table, I let out an involuntary "wow!" The chips are some of the best in Ballarat. The portion was very generous, three large pieces of flathead. I took the bar tender's wine recommendation, a Shiraz - delicious. I would have loved a second glass, but I was driving.

Really nice pub. We were staying at the motel that attaches to this pub and came here several times. It was a serious haven from the heat and the drinks were plentiful and well priced. The young staff here are efficient, polite and very competent
