Pretty big serving of Parma! Service was amazing, the lady that served my family was lovely! Would love to see some more vegan and gluten free options however!

Went for a family lunch...not impressed with the food. I had roast beef and vege. Meat super thin, dry..broccoli I couldn't put my fork in, pumpkin hard..hubby had Southern fried chicken burger, he said it was drowned in coleslaw. Kids meals to expensive for what they had. Couldn't even get a sweetener for my coffee.

It's not very often I have the pleasure of giving five stars for a meal. We had dinner here last night and I had the roast beef, it was perfect. A very generous amount of beef which was by far the best I have ever had here. Melt in your mouth tender, and the roast vegies were just as nice, and it was nice and hot when it arrived. Thanks Taylor for your excellent service.
Please keep up the great work team, I'm looking forward to our next visit.

Some weeks ago I came here for dinner with my husband, toddler and newborn. My newborn was crying and I was conscious of not disturbing other diners so moved to the side of the restaurant to try to settle him. A staff member came over to me and asked if there was anything she could do and mentioned she was happy to try to settle my son while I ate dinner. This was such a lovely gesture and I appreciated it so much. My husband managed to settle our son in the end, but it was a beautiful gesture. Arielle, I just wanted to let you know that your kindness didn't go unnoticed, I appreciated your encouraging and kind words very very much!

Came here for dinner and stopped by the front bar for a beer.
Staff really were great and very friendly, this carried over to the bistro.
Front bar was nice for an evening beer
Bistro was small but definitely family friendly. The calamari I had and the Parma the wife had were delicious.

Definitely worth a stop

We had a lovely bar meal here today and enjoyed the service provided by the front of house staff. It can be a busy spot - glad we called ahead to book a spot to avoid disappointment.

ordered schnitzel Parma asked to change salad and chips for vegies. The attendant on register was polite but I presume the worker who came up beside her was manager bit rude no we can't do that just whats on menu,and I didn't notice sign up. That's fine but she could be more polite in her answer., and a smile wouldn't go astray even serving the meals at table. Wont be going back

We had an amazing time at the Tavern for dinner tonight. Greeted well and seated quickly, despite any thought that we should have booked a table before we arrived there. The service was friendly and efficient. Food was served fast and was very yummy. It made our night great.

unfortunately quite mid. got the calamari, vegan pasta and a schooner which came to over $50. awesome that they have a solid vegan option but quality across the board was lacking. not a bad atmosphere though, plenty of seating, pokies and a bistro area.

We recently had 90 people attend my father's 100th birthday and it was the exact right venue. The staff prepared the room beautifully and were extremely responsive in meeting all of our needs. The bar staff and waiters were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and received well by our guests. Overall the team at the Tavern helped to make this a very special occasion for my father and my family. Maree Renowden

Passing through and dropped into the pokies for a drink and a play on the machines. Nice venue and friendly staff maybe next visit we will stay for dinner. The menu looks great so I will look forward to having a meal there.

Huge serving and surprisingly good. Both Parmi and Schnitzel were a size of my motorcycle helmet. Staffs are friendly and tentative. Highly recommend for lunch stop on the trip back to Sydney.

We had dinner there tonight with extended family. I had the chicken schnitzel and one of the other guests remarked "It looks like a baseball glove!" This poor chicken breast had been beaten so flat the majority of it was only about 4-5mm thick. This is exactly why it curled up like a baseball glove when cooked (quite overcooked and very dry as a result). On the plate it was huge, which they obviously think impresses guests. We have been coming to this hotel for many years, so believe me when I say the meals have really "gone off". A group I am involved with had our Christmas break-up a couple of weeks ago, and the meals were considerably smaller than usual, yet another cost saving measure. We will move on I'm afraid, no longer does this hotel offer value for money, not even close.

My family of 6 dined here (for the second time in a few months) and our meals were all delicious and good value. My husband had a steak and said it was the best he had had at a restaurant for some time. My meal was lovely too and my son and his family all enjoyed their meals and left empty plates.

We had an amazing time Friday night for happy hour and the live music. All staff were good but the big tall bartender was a standout with his service all night and his product knowledge when we went through the bottleshop on our way home

Absolutely fantastic place for a party .a great children's indoor play ground .
Not to mention the great food .I had tge Egyptian sizzle .it was fantastic. I would travel from Albury just to get it

One star at best. I was in a party of 3 for lunch today. I selected sausages and mash from the seniors menu only to be told that the chef has removed this item from the seniors menu and is no longer available. I queried this as sausages and mash was still available on the main menu however was some $6:50 dearer, I passed on the main meal as I thought why is it available on the main menu and not on the seniors ? It's not like they ran out of the ingredients !!! I was then offered the sausages and mash on the seniors menu but was told it would be a very very small portion. I passed on this and concluded that this is one lousy venue which we will never visit again. All 3 of us left without eating and went to the RSL where we had a lovely lunch. Good luck to any future patrons, just don't ask for sausages and mash from the seniors menu. I think the chef is inconsiderate to patrons and arrogant. We don't need to put up with this attitude, many other venues in Wangaratta to eat at where we would have been treated better.

I cant believe ive never been here before! I came through on Friday for lunch and bless the staff were super busy but made sure each and every customer was greeted with a smile, a conversation and made sure each and everyone was happy and satisfied!!!! Such a great atmosphere and the food was gigantic!!! Me and Partner will definitely be back!!! Big ups to the Management and Owners you have hired such awesome hardworking staff!!!

Went to lunch today. Asked about the bangers and mash seniors meal how many sausages was told one sausage came with that for $14 so decided to have the full meal of bangers and mash for $22. Should have asked how many sausages came with the full serve meal as I only received 2 sausages, a spoonful of peas on some mash and gravy. So one extra sausage cost $8 really. My friend ordered the full serve of fish and chips the chips were cold. Sorry to say I live quite close to this venue but will not be going back again unless I hear the meals have improved. Would like to hear a response from the venue about my experience.

Average, but friendly staff. Food just alright.

Delightful service, much improved. Meal was fantastic, we both had the Egyptian sizzling chicken, comes with a side salad, yogurt/garlic sauce and Turkish bread. Best meal ever and when l gave my compliments to the waitress was told the dish is a regular sell out.
Would recommend this if you like a little spice in your life.

This hotel offers the warmest welcome in town and you can't go wrong with the marvellous menu on offer at very reasonable prices. I promise you will have a great experience every time at the O, T & C. 10/10

Still getting the hang of Aussie pubs, but the staff were friendly and the food and cocktails were good.

Pros: Enjoyable Tavern, with local town pub/hotel feel. Large meals, and reasonably priced, commercial, beers. Friendly and helpful staff.Cons: Chicken schnitzel was quite thin, and gravy a bit watery. Meals were quite expensive (>$20 for schnitzel/parmi).

Mum and I had lunch here today and the service is excellent they go above and beyond and the Chicken Sizzle and my porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection..Thankyou for making our day nicer!

Menu says chicken Parma and also gives the option of a big chicken Parma which would indicate a normal size then a larger one but it's actually a normal size and then a half one. Was some hungry people when leaving... The salad was just mixed lettuce and 2 pieces of tomato and minimal. The service was just as bad as the food, not once did the waitress smile and was very blunt and rude.will not be going back there.
