For the money paid, it was well worth it. Very basic but exactly what we wanted. Staff were friendly, the room was comfy.

I stay at many hotels pub across south east coast, palms hotel tops them all from the friendly staff to the location has never been a disappointment (only when the rooms are booked out ?)

Ive had the absolute pleasure of visiting the palms hotel and to my delight the pub had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, i was throughly impressed at how clean the bar area was and the blonde female asian bartender was very accomodating but above all her service with a smile was outstanding. Would visit again in future!

I've attended the palms hotel for years, I've always gotten exceptional service from all the works and managers! My favourite worker is Amanda she's always go over and beyond for me!

I wish I had read the reviews before I booked and stayed. Oh my god the room had a bad smell and wasn't game enough to open the fridge. Mould in the bathroom and was crazy at night with noisy people outside banging and running outside the rooms. I felt the place should change its name to Motel not Hotel because the picture from the entrance is soooooooo misleading. Thank God they have friendly staff but never going back to that place. Stayed here recently and wasn't expecting it to be that great with the other reviews I read and for the price is was but I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms got cleaned everyday. The staff were lovely and helpful and the food in the restaurant was tasty. The only bad thing is I didn't win on the pokies but that's to be expected.

0/5 stars, I could not recommend less. The room was disgusting. Dirty, mouldy, broken furniture, fire alarm hanging off the ceiling we only stayed because we were exhausted and could not find any affordable options on such short notice. Even after daily cleaning, incredibly glaringly dirty things (stains on the wall, mould in the toilet) had not been touched. The reception staff were unhelpful and service in the restaurant was incredibly slow, and the food was overpriced and unpleasant. The noise in the "motel" units (it is generous to call them motel rooms, they are more like converted garages) was ridiculous. We had one tiny pillow each, and upon asking for more were told the hotel had a shortage, but were eventually given two more. The pictures on their website are incredibly deceiving, we were looking for somewhere cheap, clean and cheerful and found the palms hotel to be none of the above. DO NOT STAY HERE.

THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! We stayed for 2 hours and then left and found a better place. Not gonna lie when I walked in it smelt like smoke and the service was terrible. We tried to get a refund but the manager was ignoring us. 0/5 stars and I do not recommend. Foil in the wall, dirty used tissues, tissues in the wall, dirty bathroom, no privacy and nearly broken doors. Could be unlocked from outside and so dirty. I warn you, DO NOT COME! Or waste your money....

If the palms hotel had at least one microwave for all guests staying there,I'm pretty sure they could get better reviews. Microwaves are not expensive to have in the 21st century. Even budget hotels have one.

Very basic, no shower door, no toaster, no hair-dryer, heater doesn't work, no bannister on stairs on top flight, steps very small would be easy to fall down if not careful. No lifts so stairs only way to get to your room. Made it hard to get luggage to the room. Would not recommend.

What a weird experience in 3 nights. Smoke smells everywhere. Can't sleep because pub is downstairs . You can't take your kids to reception Because reception is in bar. TV, AC ,bathroom and bedroom are in poor condition. No chairs, no hangers in the room... highly no recommended.

This place is like a little oasis, I used to love dropping in when going past. My family has dropped in a number of times over the years to enjoy the food, never stayed at the hotel though... just enjoying the food and some drinks.
Previously the food was really good and most would consider it an easy 4-5 stars for the food, it's kid friendly, a small "dated" kids play area.

The restaurant area is now a completely different company. New menu and everything.
Now the new restaurant is well.... Hmmmmmm.
I'm going to give it 5 stars because I liked it, but unfortunately not everyone in my group enjoyed the new food, rating of 0-1 stars from the others in my group.
Pricing to food wasn't spectacular either.
(I don't normally do this, if you are looking at this review considering staying at the hotel, there is alternative restaurants nearby so if the food not to your liking there are other options).

Rooms are dated, location was chosen purely from a work perspective, and so it suited us. Bar area seemed to be frequented by some undesirable types, but don't know if this is a regular occurrence, as we only stayed one night. One room did not have any towels. Staff were helpful and friendly. When checking in, it was stressed to us that there was strictly no smoking in the rooms, which was fine, but then the staff member walked us through the pokies area to show us how to get to the rooms out the back, and the pokies area was full of smoke. Weird.

Myself and my son stayed here while we attended the 2023 Easter show, staff were super friendly, room was a bit smaller than I thought but was fine overall.
Had dinner in the restaurant ribs were amazing.

Overall staff were quite rude why would I spend hundreds of dollars to be treated like that? I'd highly recommend going to another place that will treat you fairly

You get what you pay for. If you want a budget room & are happy to ignore everything else - this place is fine. Bathroom was ok, hot water, fresh towels, reasonably clean. Room was average, bed was very basic, 90% of PowerPoints didn't work, window left open (no screen) & didn't lock properly from inside, no lightbulbs in overhead lights, loud from bar & upstairs people, fixtures of roof/walls falling off, grime on table (clearly not wiped before our stay). Staff were all friendly, no complaints there. I stayed one night, I personally wouldn't be back again & im happy I didn't stay longer but I honestly couldn't expect much more for the price.

It's a great place for a short stay over if you have a flight up and coming. Staff are always very happy and helpful. Rooms are very clean, shower room very clean, just need some new net curtains. I would differently stay here again.

We booked for 3 nights paying holiday prices (around $200 a room per night). Horrible conditions, first arrived, the photos online compared to the real rooms are drastically different. Dirty carpet and reeks, the beds headboard fell off, blanket has mould on it, you could hear people loud and clear, aircon dripping water at night. We ended up staying for only 2 nights and left early in the morning to a different hotel. Honestly, don't rely on pictures to book here, look at the reviews first.

According to how bad some of the reviews for this place are, I think I got off easy.
I managed to avoid the unfriendly red-headed receptionist (mentioned in someone else's review) and my room didn't have any mold in the bathroom (a common complaint with prior guests).
There were rips in the curtains, the bed was pretty uncomfortable, the furniture was starting to fall apart and there was no microwave. But for a last minute stop before flying out the next morning (proximity to the airport is good), it wasn't that bad.

Bring ear plugs. The windows are loose and if there is any wind, they are going to rattle like you're stuck in a hurricane.

Not a great experience. First, the room and the bathroom were very dirty , also we found bugs crawling next to the bed . Second, it was very noisy you could easily hear people in the other rooms. Unfortunately, We couldn't sleep. Would never come back again.

WiFi in rooms in the separate building at the back is pretty week to non existent and could have a PowerPoint closer to the bed but otherwise everything else was quite good. Room was clean with easy access and parking.

Steve the reception manager is a deadset legend. Went above and beyond. Room is no frills, no nonsense sort of set up, but everything works and is clean! Thanks guys

The experience here is really bad! The price is affordable but the experience here was worst. Definitely not booking it ever again.Reason being the room allocated to had broken toilet, non-working AC, mold on walls and the paint on the walls were chipping off. It's affordable but definitely not worth the money! Didn't realise until now that a "3 star hotel" could be this worse!

Hotel staff were lovely, food was great. Hotel rooms themselves could use a better clean though, lots of mould thought our room, could easily be cleaned, so not alot of consideration when it came to cleaning. Enjoyed our stay overall.

Rooms are really old and it does not even have proper lighting. Photos on the website are deceptive and doesn't give real situation of rooms. We had booked 3 rooms for 5 nights and 1 room for 2 nights, Bedding was poor, mattress was really old and gave me a back pain, pillows were really bad, my neck was in bad shape after one night and I had to buy a pillow from outside. House keeping was good. Water is also not available. The location is good but it is right on the traffic signal and so getting to the hotel requires one to drive longer than usual and there is no close by u turn. Woolies and petrol stations are available close by.

It is very very basic hotel to stay, it requires refurbishment.

I ordered the Scotch fillet steak It was tough as boot leather Do not recommend the food here.

The reviews about cleanness is correct. My room didn't look like it been vacuumed & the shower!, well I wore my things as it hadn't been cleaned from the previous person. Soap suds all over the glass the tiles & the bathroom door.
Showed one of the managers & offered me a smaller cheaper room & a free beer.
When I booked the room, I was told 1 price & on arrival I was told a different price.
It will be my first & last time here & certainly not worth the money.

Razor blade found in bed. Stanley blades. Would not stay here again. Reception did not care when I complained. Manager was aware and never called or contacted me. AVOID. Very dirty.

Checking in at reception was unusual as it was in the front bar and being asked out to remove our son as reception was next to the pokies. Paid for 2 rooms as I thought it was going to be a double bed in one room and a single in the other. Turned out to be a single AND a double in both rooms. All I could smell in reception was cigarettes. Got to our rooms and it was cold and noisy. Air conditioner wasn't working properly or not at all. The windows weren't able to be locked and when closed, the road noise coming through the two glass panels was terrible. Bathroom was a little small but it was clean. The bed was terrible, have to say what sleep we had, was the worst sleep ever. Went to the front bar to buy a cans/bottles of soft drink and being told they don't sell them there, you have to go to the pizza bar next door. All good, on the way back through the front bar, asked for a mixer bottle like scotch and cola or bourbon and cola and then being told we don't sell that here. What kind of front bar is this? We were to stay for 2 nights but just bit the bullet and booked another hotel closer to the airport.

Great place to stay, Staff are Awesome, rooms are Awesome I stay here all the time while working in Sydney.

Lovely establishment. Ample free parking available. Conducive environment, and for those who love to play games, they have a lot of game machines.

Was clean, cheap and definitely what I needed for the 14hrs I was in Sydney for. Would recommend and stay again. Only issue was the walls, doors were a bit too thin. Could almost hear a clear conversation next door if I tried hard enough to be a creeper

Beautiful place, the food is really good and very very inexpensive.There is a large gaming area that actually pays out and smoking is permitted in every part of the club except the bistro area.The hotel rooms are the larger average and sleeps up to 3 people in a standard room.Very inexpensive rooms and nice quality for a pub/hotel
