Central location. Neat, clean and comfortable rooms. Faulty TV. Room upgrade as a result.

Great location, opposite the bay which is just across the road. Nice staff, good parking. Room clean and shower has good pressure but does take some time to get hot. Coffee and tea making facilities with biscuits. Nice pool though we didn't use it. The only real complaint is the mattress which was very firm and uncomfortable.

Great rooms, great location and friendly staff, but we kept getting woken up by services on the roof turning on and off during the night.

I have been staying here for work for the past 6 years, great service the food is amazing and a great location walking distance to everything you need. If you love fishing or have a boat there is plenty of room and the staff are more than accomadating. ??

Spent the night on a bike trip going up to NSW coast. Rooms very nice and clean. Beer nice and cold . Bistro staff excellent and food excellent. They call it a Hotel they're better than that. I'd go back again

Birthday lunch for my wife was excellent! The gluten-free garlic prawns were delicious. Also took home GF cheesecake which were superb.

Clean and comfortable, great value for money. Exactly what we needed for our one night stopover in Portland. Would definitely stay again.

Had a great waitress that had a fun with us and welcomed our dog. Even bringing him a treat, as we sat outside. Our meals were a bit hit & miss. Schnitzels were great, curry & Apricot chicken dishes were bland. Great sized serves.

Excellent service and prompt high quality food. Kevina was extremely busy and kept everything flowing with a full house. Outstanding effort from her and the team. Tesla chargers a bonus while eating.

Couldn't fault reception staff at all, very friendly and helpful. The room on the other hand. From entering there was cracks all around the door lock where it looks as though someone had tried kicking the door in. Mold on walls and ceiling above shower. Any time any of us wanted a shower we had to run it for half hour before it was even warm. Shower head was loose and sprayed water everywhere when I turned it on, tightened it my self. (probably explains the mold) Tap in basin was loose also. Room booked for 4 people, only 3 towels in the room. Reverse cycle had a mind of it's own and decided itself whether it wanted to be hot as the pits of hell or cold as your mother in laws heart. Only 4 TV channels, the rest had sound but no picture. Have stayed here many times over 20 years, the last time before this stay was 4 years ago and the place is serious run down and tired now. Will be my last stay until the place gets a serious overhaul. A shame because the location and views are perfect.

Stayed here for 2 nights 3 weeks ago. The room was very clean and comfortable. Heater, TV, tea and coffee facilities what more do you want? I was with a tour of 24 and had excellent breakfast in the coffee shop at the front which was open to the public all day. Especially enjoyed the bowl of fresh fruit and yougart. Would love to stay again. Great spot too.

I am an avid traveller and my rule for reviewing accommodations is that I should stay there at least twice before reviewing, so that I can review their consistency.
I have stayed at the Comfort Inn more than twice and have loved every stay. This is my go to place in Portland.
Staff have always been friendly.
The food from the Thistle Bar and Edwards Waterfront have been great.
The rooms are spacious and clean every time and the shower has excellent water pressure. Sometimes, the hot water is not as hot as I'd like it, but it definitely isn't cold, so something I can overlook.
I'd recommend staying here if you're looking for something more budget.

Fantastic dinner. But SAFETY needs to be addressed.
The door of the room could only be opened from the out side and we were locked in the room it was 7.30pm reception were suppose to be there till 8pm and would not answer the phone. The restaurant was busy. Our daughter was in anyother room had to go down to the restaurant to get someone with a set of keys to let us out. Our daughter kept the 2nd set of keys in case it happen again. I don't think it was the first time this had happen as the bottom of the door was all scratch were someone had attempted to pass the keys out to someone. This is a VERY REAL SAFETY ISSUE. As our room was on the 3rd level.

Receptionist was very helpful and provided some of the best service I have enounteted on numerous travels across Australia, room is well kept and well appointed for the price I paid.

Comfortable room. Spacious enough. Not able to park at the room door so have to carry bags from the car park. Pleasant check in staff. Hotel has a licensed restaurant which is perfect for a meal or for relaxing in the shade with a cool beer on a sunny day.
