The Rover

We came for happy hour and had a cocktail each from the happy hour list and a dozen Sydney rock oysters for $2.00 each which were delicious. Such a cute little bar with the staff being friendly and attentive.

The Sydney rock oyster is nice but it might be more fresh as my expectations.

The waiter is really considerate and sweet.

I love the outside table with comfortable seats.

I will visit it again to enjoy the happy hours for oysters😆

Used to be better lit with sexy lighting and warm dark green tones, but they opened up the curtains let there be light! I dont like it but still going to support this once 'hidden' bar no longer not hidden. Amazing food and great service. Way better with table service.

Came during their oyster happy hour and got a lot of oysters.

Oysters were super good and I like the mignonette went well with it too. The eel pate was really nice with the crumpet and quite unique.

I had the Gidley Burger and it was nice but I was expecting a bit more, the bun was a sort of harder bread, which I personally don't prefer, however it was still nice bread. The pickled cucumber on the outside was a little awkward to put in as it's long strips. I feel like it would have been better to be included in the burger rather than the side.

The fish was nice and sauce was light yet creamy!

The cucumber salad was nice and refreshing, nothing too amazing though.

The chocolate mousse was nice and the fluffy cream was nice too.

The g&ts and wines were also great!

Such a fabulous restaurant for oysters lovers!
Only $2 for sydney rocks, can't wait to go. 5-6pm, not sure if it's daily or not.

I have to emphasise the amazing service from "Daniel" who provided a warm, supportive and welcoming services, I've ordered a cocktail under his suggestion but doesn't match my taste, after I spoke to Daniel, he quickly turned another one for me and asked the bartender came to my table to do the presentation of the new cocktail.
Definitely need to go again.
