My husband and I popped in here for a quick pint and a bite to eat for lunch. We can't get over how friendly and accommodating the staff are. The bartender was able to recommend the perfect drinks and found us the best seat in the house. Thanks for the great hospitality!

This is almost an institution. Has got a lovely outdoor seating where you can sit with your pint and just watch the light rail pass a hundred times until you are done and move on.
the feed is not bad especially the fried chook.

Good pub food, just as you would expect. Little bit pricey but nothing crazy for this area.

Appreciate having the QR codes to order since it can be a bit of a tight squeeze moving around the upstairs pub/drinks area. Felt a bit squishy sitting down too with three people around a small round table. Overall ok.

Located across the Wynyard station exit on George Street. A good pub restaurant option open till late at night on weekends as well. Friendly staff with very quick service. Visited on a Sunday evening and had Lamb Shank, Battered fish and Long Island ice tea. Food quality was good with ample portions. Prices are little above average but worth the quality.

The Royal George is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 AM until 2 AM the following morning. They are also open Thursday from 10 AM until 3 AM the following morning. On Friday they're open from 10 AM until 4 AM the following morning. On Saturday they operate from 11 AM until 4 AM the following morning. On Sunday they operate from noon to midnight.
