Royal Hotel - Pub Near Me in VIC

This is my new favourite place to eat in Bacchus Marsh, and my Dad and I have eaten pretty much everywhere else. My Dad will be furious I'm reviewing it because he wants it to remain a hidden gem.

Most of the pubs in the marsh make you order at the counter but at The Royal you get table service with a smile. Staff are super friendly and take the time to ensure your happy with your food. I think I started our waitress when she asked about my ragu "f#$k me, it's good, it's one of the best ragus I've ever eaten." And, in all seriousness, it was that good.

Do yourself a favour and get down to The Royal.

Absolutely shocking service and rude staff. We were treated as an inconvenience because a simple drink was too hard for the girls to make. Sat for 15 minutes finally received a drink that wasn't what was asked for and left in disgust. Went to another pub for lunch and drinks that was far more welcoming and staff were knowledgeable. Do not go to this pub if you want respectful service.

No complaints on the steak - cooked to perfection, variety to choose from the menu, large meals.

The food was so delicious we had a big table and everyone of us loved our meals. I'm not sure if new owners but last time was cheap and horrible food. It now tastes and looks great. Service was very slow and was on a week night but as long as food is yummy, I am happy 😊

Steak was well cooked, chips could have been hotter. Not bad overall and would eat here again. Staff were pretty good, attentive but not hovering. Was fairly good value for money.
