The Russell Inn Bar & Restaurant

Good food, love fluffy fresh tender white snapper fish and chip. Friday night. Very busy all booked up the waitress who lead us to the table stated that the permiss is going to get busy. just order food and drink for me and my friend at first doesn't feel like we are going to have dessert after a meal. Then my eyes caught up with the chocolate mud cake. I tried and tried to get the waitress to come over. She just ignored us and doesn't care or looks at us at all. She was busy with the new coming.
If they are so busy Friday night why don't they have one more waitress to help with the busy night.

We had a pretty mixed experience overall.

The Caesar wrap was ok but the chips had a noticeable fishy flavour (they may have been fried in the same oil as fish). The chocolate milkshake was good but the banana milkshake had a very artificial banana-lolly flavour - I was hoping it would be made with real banana.

The stuffed chicken breast with mashed potato was decent though the presentation made it hard to eat. Instead of the stuffing being inside the chicken, the breast had been cut in half with the filling placed in the middle. When you cut into it the stuffing spills out into the mashed potato and jus so it ends up a bit messy and you can't differentiate any flavours.

The pork belly bites and sweet potato fries were fairly average. The Jim Beam BBQ ribs was interesting- the meat was cooked well and tender but the sauce took a little getting used to.

Overall it was an ok meal not bad at all but not one we'd rush back for.

It was a very hot day! We were waiting on our RV. Popped in for a cold beer and lunch. Didn't disappoint, food and service excellent. Such a calm, quiet atmosphere. Just lovely

The food, staff, atmosphere and service - everything was perfect in this restaurant. I wasn't sure if I wanted to lunch here for Christmas Eve- but it was a good decision I decided to go here! The clinic sandwich and fish & chips, buffalo wings - all were delicious. Coming back soon again! 😃

Great little spot for a drink and feed.

We ordered the meat platter to share and it was enough for two for sure.

Tap beer selection is decent, but could do some more craft beers. In any case, it seemed to be quite busy with locals/regulars which is always a good sign.

We will likely be back to try different items on the menu!
