I dropped by here with my partner and enjoyed a few cold beverages before our trip back home. The bar itself has a lot of charm and history. The locals are good value and the lovely owner was vibrant and up for a chat

The restaurant itself is rather large and we'll update this review once we've had a meal there.

Other stand outs are a well serviced pool table, interesting rooftop art project and a great outdoor area.

They kept the kitchen open for a couple of car loads even though we weren't going to be there until an hour after it closed.
Awesome atmosphere unreal meal and awesome customer service definitely going back there. It's the best country pub that I have been to in a very long time

We had lunch at the Stag yesterday. I had had the beef stroganoff with mash and veggies and my sister had the vegetarian burger with chips and salad. Best beef stroganoff I've ever had. My sister grabbed about birth the burger and the salads. The chips were delicious! But it was also the hospitality of the staff that made our visit great.
Highly recommend!
