The Station

I visited grand daughter staying there. The accommodation looked spacious and comfortable. She enjoyed staying as staff of 'The Miler' Marathon run. That is a gruelling event!

Pros:
A comfortable stay for between days at the snow. Rooms are spatious and the well seperated bathroom with another door for the toilet is appreciated. Was warm enough and simple to work out opening or closing the radiator valve to adjust. On arrival we were greeted with smiles and all the customer service was really great and friendly.

Cons:
Paper thin walls. You can hear every word from your neighbours. This would be so easy to at least vastly reduce if they just put some sound proofing insulation and double up the plaster each side. Maybe a couple days income reinvested would fix the single most complained about item in the reviews. We were lucky having good neighbours, I can't imagine during busy times how bad this must be for families. This single thing is why I would be very unlikely to return.

No microwave in the rooms. Trying to force families to eat their overpriced food options. I just can't fathom how they think this is OK for families with young kids, I'm not buying three kids 3 meals a day ontop of every other snow cost.

Lack of furniture - room sleeps 5 but had two chairs?

No cloths and cleaning equipment at all. No hand towels provided.

Lack of security or enforcement of rules like speed limit. Saw P platers treating the main strip past the lodges as a race track. Rules are pointless without enforcement.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Headboards would have been nice as our bed was banked against the heater so you couldn't sit up. We had 5 disposable cups for drinks for 3 days so a room service would have been nice. No way to wipe up messes or clean. This room ok if you plan to spend minimal time there.

Excellent price/value, good location. The rooms are clean, warm and ample - the pressure in the shower is great too. I only put four stars because you can hear everything from the other rooms.

Initially, I had doubts about this place after reading a few reviews, but it turned out to be one of the best stays I've ever had. The reception staff were extremely friendly, and the area was clean and peaceful. I always woke up to the sight of many kangaroos around. The motel also has a bar with a great vibe. There was plenty of parking, and it was only an eight-minute drive to the Jindabyne Woolies and market.

The only improvement I would suggest is adding a microwave in the rooms. The room was simple, with beds, a bedside table, a mini-fridge, a TV, and a kettle. Having a microwave to heat food would be fantastic, especially since cooking isn't allowed inside.
