I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the behavior and conduct of your security personnel during my recent visit to The Sussex on 22/11/24. I believe it is important to bring to your attention the unprofessional and disrespectful manner in which the security staff handled their duties, as it fell far below the expected standard of service that your venue promises.
Firstly, I was disappointed to witness the security guards interacting with guests in a manner that was both dismissive and rude. The guards seemed uninterested in addressing guests' concerns, and their tone of communication was condescending. Instead of offering assistance or politely guiding guests, their responses were curt and lacked any sense of respect or courtesy. This not only created a negative atmosphere but also made several of the guests, including myself, feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Additionally, the security guards failed to maintain the professionalism expected at such a prestigious venue. Their actions reflected a complete disregard for the venue's standards and the well-being of the guests. In one instance, I observed a situation where a minor issue was handled with excessive force, and the guests involved were treated in an unnecessarily harsh manner. This type of behavior does not align with the level of service and respect that guests should receive at a venue of your caliber.
I would also like to emphasize that the security staff's behavior did not reflect the high standards that I associate with a CBD venue . A venue of this stature should ensure that its staff, including security personnel, embody a welcoming, safe, and professional environment at all times. Unfortunately, the actions of the security guards left a lasting negative impression, one that does not align with the reputation and experience I expected from your venue.
As a guest, I had hoped to enjoy my time at The Sussex in an atmosphere of courtesy and professionalism. Regrettably, the behavior of your security staff made that impossible. I kindly request that this issue be addressed and that appropriate measures be taken to ensure that all security personnel are properly trained in customer service, communication, and maintaining a respectful environment.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and work to improve the experience for future guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
