The Wakefield hotel is a nice place to relax
after a busy work. Hey Ray, just wanted to say you're awesome! Your friendly vibe and helpfulness at the pub really made my day. Cheers for being so cool!

I just want to say that this place is amazing !!! The atmosphere, the entertainment, the music. I went there because I wanted to try the burgers and I felt home again, the taste is just amazing and the service.
Thanks to Carlos for making me feel home again. The lady at the bar was really nice too.

I really liked the place, the atmosphere is very nice and different, I ordered a burger and had a drink on the spot, the taste was delicious, if you have the opportunity to go to the place do not miss it, the people who work there are very dedicated and friendly.

I had my 21st here in December 2023 and it was amazing. The food came out exactly when they said it would and it was all delicious. The staff were super friendly and made sure everything we asked for was attended to and we got everything we needed. They were really good for when I needed my backdrop dropped off and picked up and did everything they could to make sure my night was special. Kylie, the events manager was super helpful with setting up the dining area for the party and she made sure my night was one to remember

The BEST pub!!!
Had the most amazing meal and experience at the Wakefield yesterday. We had a table of 6 and everyone loved their entre and main meals. The vegetarian in our group was extremely impressed by her meal and the options she had available to her. The manager Kylie couldn't do enough for us and we were all blown away by the level of service received. We were lucky enough to meet Nestor the chef and pass on our praise. The lad serving at the bar and taking our orders (didn't get his name) was very friendly and loved to chat ? Thanks again guys, we will now make the Wakefield our regular!!

New chef. Normal pub fare but was tasty enough.
Bar staff were very attentive and efficient.

Absolutely pitiful ?...very young male manager whom had an attitude that was repulsive. No service, just threw around demands while he sat drinking on duty. Don't get me started on the bathrooms. Besides having to side shuffle through ridiculous doors to even get in, there was toilet dirty paper on the floors, hand soap just left soggy in the sink, melted candles (why in a bathroom ) scattered over the sink and stick diffusers on the floor. DISGUSTING ?. Maybe if the child manager got off his backside the place may have some patrons. I've been twice and it's always dead. Decor has no flow, place is always filthy. Health inspectors dream.

On short notice on a Friday night we rang and said we had a party of 30 people. They were happy to accommodate us staff were fantastic as was the venue. Would definitely return.

On the weekend another Hotel stuffed up a booking we had for my Sister's 50th Birthday and we called The Wakefield Hotel and spoke to the owner, Mark, to see if they could accommodate 20 of us immediately and they couldn't have been more accommodating! The service we received from Ky & Elenor was nothing short of incredible! The beer range was fantastic, extremely friendly service & we are so glad the other booking didn't work out now because we had the best time! Nothing was too hard for them! Thank you for an amazing time and saving the 50th from disaster ?

The Thursday steak nights can't be beat! Steaks were tasty and served with a lovely salad and chips. There's lots of seating areas available, great atmosphere. Felt a bit more upscale than some pubs.

Beer selection ok, last orders for dinner called at 7pm mid-week, not idealt but was quiet so understand. Staff were friendly

The Wakefield Hotel is a consistenly good spot for a decent pub meal. From pub classics like burgers, schnitzels and fish and chips to hearty salads. Good food, cold beer and great service.

Nothing fancy. Just a basic menu with completely solid fare, served quickly and piping hot (a rarity for pubs) during lunch. No complaints at all, but not very memorable either.

Advertising a pint for a price and serving customers a schooner instead. Probably get rid of the false advertising. Understaffed and not the friendliest at the bar. One just grunted at me when ordering. May have just been the occasion or a bad day, but customer service goes a long way.

Very ordinary schnitzel in terms of size, taste and sauce. Chips were decent.

Good selection of beers and a quality top shelf. Cosy and not too busy. Good location for an after work beverage of a nice lunch. Has a dart board and pool table.

Myself and a couple of friends came in on Friday the 2nd of September for drinks and a bite. The place was absolutely packed and we had awesome service from the girls at the bar... even though they were flat out serving a what looked like a busy venue going on they still were very responsive and friendly with our orders. Smiles and politeness goes a long way in my books. Definitely coming back
