Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good service. Deeply disappointing dry garlic bread without any garlic. **EDIT** Came back again. Food experience was much better.

Cold beer on tap, massive pub meals (Parma was huge), katsu sanga was pretty good and chicken salad with avocado was filling. Staff were friendly. Carlton on tap.

BBQ Beef Rib Burger.

I tried the Southern Fried Chicken Burger and I was very happy, it did not disappoint. The bun was toasted, and the burger did not fall apart when eating. The chicken was coated in something that didn't seem like breadcrumbs, chicken looked dark and burnt on the outside, but the chicken was very juicy. Just the right amount of coleslaw, the sauce did not go everywhere. Burger looked very tall, I could still use my hands to hold and eat the burger, didn't need to use a knife and fork. Big selection of beer on the beverage menu. Service was very fast and friendly, could order from the QR code or at the bar. Very chilled atmosphere, not too noisy, the lighting got dimmed later in the evening.

Local pub that seems to be popular with back packers at least when we were there. We came right after lunch time when our daughter had a birthday party nearby we decided to visit this pub to get a drink and a light bite. We tried their nuclear death wings and boy did it really almost kill our taste buds. Normally spicy wings in pubs or bars are not that spicy but this is no joke so prepare yourself before ordering one. It is still good but so spicy! They have many types of beers on tap and also craft beer bottles. The space is reasonably big with seating inside and outside.

Very generously sized Parma especially for Parma night. I was extremely stoked that they were happy to give me extra salad as I don't eat chips. Surprisingly not a lot of places are happy to do that. So thank you kitchen staff 😀.
Great tap list and great happy hour offerings. Also plenty of outdoor tables to enjoy some sun when Melbourne deems us worthy!

Great food, lots of yummy options like crackling, deep fired pickles and pigs in blankets not to mention the great selection of delicious craft beers and we love booth/bench seating. Service was lightning quick and friendly

Great food, great service and having games available was good for keeping the kiddos occupied. Waiter who attended to us was attentive and accommodating, unfortunately I did not get his name. Will be back again for sure.

I had not been here for years and years but coming back from appointment and had to call in for old time's sake and was so good to return! Venue has been updated since last here with more modern fit out and name change of course but still felt so inviting and comfortable. Husband had chicken parmigiana, which was massive and I ordered nachos, which also was massive (see photos). In fact so huge I brought about 2/3 home. Also got garlic cheesy bread which was unnecessary as, aside from having one piece each, we brought home too! Also had a Prosecco. There is lots of seating here both inside and out and the music....so good! Garbage, Radiohead, Psychedelic Furs and other classic English bands. However was dying for coffee and they don't do but coffee shop nearby. If you haven't been check it out and won't be years before I come back. Thank you Windsor Alehouse for nostalgia trip!

Friendly staff and very quick service! Good range of pup meals with a few different vegetarian options. Prices reasonable. Food was good except salad was swimming in dressing.

Our new local pub - staff are so friendly and happy. Food menu is great with loads of vegetarian and vegan options. Food and drinks come out really quickly. They host trivia and quiz nights - nice local pub!

Hosted my brother's surprise party here last weekend and the Bar Manager and his whole team were fantastic. From the first visit, to the end of the party I can not fault them on their amazing venue,hospitality, staff, service, food, drink, music and all round atmosphere. They went above and beyond to ensure the night ran smoothly and I would highly recommend The Windsor AleHouse for your next event or night out at a great local venue.

I mean if you stayed at the Hostel above then you need to review the Bar below. ABSOLUTELY love the Windsor Alehouse... This has become my new favourite Pub in Melbourne. Quick Service, Awesome food (Loads of Veggie Options) and really reminds me of my time in London. 6 Stars if I could... Just the best

Thank you so much for hosting my birthday party the staff were so lovely and accommodating. Security worked hard to make sure only my guests were in the area I hired and I can't thank them enough! Would highly recommend having a birthday here or just going in for a meal and a beer the staff are amazing!

Don't know about this place, I just walked past it. However, there are always patrons who appear pleased. Dog friendly.

Yeah , freaking the best garlic bread i have ever had! Being the food lover ,cheers to the chefs! Simple but delicious ? ! Also not to forget the bucket of wings is to die for! Juicy and tender! FLABBERGASTED ???? Winder Ale House is the winner !!!!!
