The Hungry Hare at the Tourist Hotel was an unexpected gem. Edmond has only recently taken over the hotel and has created a great dining experience. The fare is a three course set menu by a fine chef for $52 pp. In many other places you would pay double that for such a good meal. Nice wines are available by the glass. Bookings are required. We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar before dinner.

If you want to relax and get fantastic service and food , then the wine bar at the tourist hotel is a must visit
Recommend chicken pie,
prawn and scallop pasta it is all fantastic but these two are a stand out

We went to the wine bar that has just opened here at the Tourist Hotel in Oberon and they were serving tapas to go with the wine. The food was amazing!! The menu about 12 choices and they were all delicious.

The wine choices were also great.

Highly recommend a visit to the wine bar!

I had a wonderful experience at the Tourist Hotel in Oberon. Edmond, the host, went above and beyond to accommodate my last-minute booking. He warmly welcomed me, even though I arrived late, and provided a tour of this charming historic hotel. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was exceptional. The wine bar he and his son are creating looks incredible and am looking forward to visiting again soon. I highly recommend it for a comfortable stay in Oberon.

A random winter's night stopover and a recommendation from the local motel owner recommending this place for dinner.On the list of the top three steaks I've eaten, Oberon tourist hotel still holds on to spot number two after so many years (only beaten by the Steak and Wine Co in Sydney). I still remember how the steak tasted from here. It was just fantastic local produce served with chips and salad.

The food here is delicious and the menu thoughtfully planned. We left the restaurant so full and satisfied. Our room was spotlessly clean and well decorated. The owner could not do enough for us making us feel so welcome. We will definitely visit again. Great value for money! Thanks
