From the moment we were welcomed by the 2 gentlemen at the bar till leaving, we couldn't fault the Tydvil.
We had various schnitzel dishes, and all were delicious.
From the friendliest meat tray seller,the bar staff, and the bar men, we had a wonderful time here.
If only we had another night in
Broken Hill, we would have definitely gone back again.
Tourism Broken Hill should highlight this business as a true testiment of how good old fashioned hospitality is meant to be.
Could not rate this enough.

We had Chicken Parmy and Grilled Barra with vegetables, all cooked beautifully and so delicious ..

Service was excellent. They went out of their way to find USA table. It was busy but our schnitzels and vege were served quickly and delicious. The rosemary gin was a hit.

We came here during the day for a gin tasting and the owners were very kind. Later that night we came here for dinner and ordered the chicken schnitzel. The food did take 40 minutes to arrive but is still better than other food places in town.

great food, I followed google rating and I can confirm it is worth to visit. Chips and mexican parmi 5/5. a bit pricer than other bars but it was worth to spend few $ extra.

Was in BH on a road trip last and this was not only the best pub we came across in our 9 day trip but I'd go so far as to say it's one of the best pubs I've ever visited. Local, friendly, beautifully restored, the Gin Distillery and the food - all outstanding. Thanks for having us.

A very mellow pub that isn't trying too hard but still puts in substantial effort - keeping doors physically open during trading hours is very inviting. Their personal brew is a good drop if you like ginger. They have a fantastic beer garden, and are one of the only places in town that does bangers and mash, an appropriately British feature considering the pub itself was built by a Welshman in 1891. At the time of writing there are no 1/5 reviews from anyone for this place, unsurprisingly.

One of the best pub meals I had in broken hill. The gin tasting was impressive, the gin connoisseur was so knowledgeable and passionate about their crafting of gin. I even bought some gin to take home it was so good! I Highly recommend visiting this pub and do the gin tour if you travel in the outback

Just spent a week in Broken Hill and discovered a great family pub in the Tydvil Hotel... also the home of the Broken Hill distillery. Wonderful hosts in Eric, Paul and the team. We had 3 meals here during our week ... all excellent. It quickly became our "Broken Hill local". You must do a tour of the distillery and partake in the Gin tasting. Their award winning gins with a distinct local flavour are available for purchase from the distillery and served in the pub. Service was excellent and the locals very friendly. You must stock up on Nisso's pickles, sauces and chutneys ... the hot sauce is awesome...home made by one of the regulars and on sale in the bar. Highly recommended... we have stocked right up!!! Can highly recommend the Tydvil. Dave & Trish

Visited the gin distillation and met the owner. He has been set up for 3 years and has won major awards for his gin. They also donate a considerable amount to legacy.

Good honest country pub grub at reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere and popular with the locals. Asking for a drinks menu was met with a laugh (there wasn't one!)

Bistro dining room was full so we ate in the bar area. Chicken parmy (half portion) ($24) was delicious. Nicely crumbed real chicken breast, rich tomato sauce and good cheese ratio. Can see why its award winning. Served with hot and crispy potato wedges and a small salad with light vinegar dressing. Portion size was very good, couldnt have had full sized schnitty.

Bangers and Mash ($20) was great value. 2 large sausages, big serve of mash and a rich dark gravy. Good quality sausos.

Best meal in Broken Hill, come here for dinner instead of the Palace Hotel, true local experience not a tourist trap.

While our meal was good, I thought the price was a bit over the top.
It was only a pub meal and what you expect from a pub but at Bistro/restaurant prices. As were the cost of drinks.

Good food, friendly service and Award winning Gin made on site. (Best G&T I've had)

Did a tour of their gin distillery and it was great! 4 different gins plus a bonus moonshine to sample after being told about their business and gin making. Paul was really interesting and the fruits served to cleanse the palate tasty. Tour 'cost' $25, but you get that off the cost of a bottle of gin. Great meals at their bistro, garlic and cheesy bread filled me. Don't miss it if visiting Broken Hill!

Great country pub with over 100yrs of history in Broken Hill.

Amazing steak which was easily made Keto/low carb with minimal fuss.

Good selection of beers and wines, not to mention it's the home of Broken Hill Distillery and has a great range of house stilled Gins and Moonshine.

A good menu. Food was good. A great outdoor area and friendly service from both the restaurant and bar staff.

It's okay. I found their "award winning" chicken snitzel a little too tomatoe rich and their non alcoholic drinks priced a little over the top. Better value elsewhere.

Tdyvil is one of those pubs that focuses their income into making the best food in broken hill. Me and the boys from work went down and were pleasantly surprised with the food quality, and drink prices were very reasonable. Don't waste your time at the filthy Sturt club they will put oranges in your salad and force membership down your throat.

Great pub,welcoming staff,very helpful on road conditions outside town. Food great. A Welsh heritage to the pub which is great to someone with a Welsh background.

This place has a delicious chicken parmy, also the Mexican style; it's juicy, big portion and flavourful, nice chips and fresh veggies. Comfortable sitting but cheap dinning deco, nice atmosphere, good service and friendly staff, thanks guys???'?.

Best Schnitty and service!! Definitely more then what you can see from the street!! Has a beautiful gin distillery that you must check out! Try the Gun powder gin! Such beautiful friendly staff too!

In conjuction with the distillery, has had a beautiful outdoor renovation. Love the bar area and the food is good. Have/book a tour of the distillery, interesting to see how the whisky and gin is made.

Gin, gin, beer, great food with friendly welcoming staff. What more can you want. Lovely outdoor area. Only complaint is the seats on the picnic tables are too narrow - need an extra plank. Quite painful after a period of time. (Could be a ploy to get you up to the bar more often??) Enjoyed several arvo sessions here with great friends. Thx

Great atmosphere and very clean and well presented pub, had one of the best chicken schnitzel parmigianas of my life, it's easy to see why they win awards for them.
