Union Club Hotel - Pub in Fitzroy Victoria

Ordered a parma sans ham arrived with which I didn't realise until halfway through and was very unimpressed with. Visually it looked tasty and sizeable but the chips lacked flavour and the crumb was very poor quality

Come here pretty often. Atmosphere is always great and there's usually alot of people there in the arvo/at night but always space. Heaps of inspire and outdoor El seating area and great service. Tried the food for the first time. We ordered the beef and Guinness pie special and the porterhouse steak. Beef and Guinness pie cake with mash, mushy peas, and gravy. Was absolutely delicious and very filling. Gravy was good and portion size was great. Porterhouse was alright but the pepper sauce was extremely peppery to other ones I've had. Overall probably wouldn't get it again and get better steaks in the area for cheaper or the same price. Menu has heaps of options tho so definitely want to try more. Overall definitely recommend this place very cozy inside and outside with a fireplace and outdoor heating.

A friendly place, nice and reasonably priced food.. we ordered and shared a porter house steak, beef and Guinness pie, and calamari.

Quiet atmosphere yet many in conversation. Many areas to go here including the front, back, dining and behind bar. Not a large place yet spread out nicely without music blaring which makes a nice communicative atmosphere.
The chicken Pie was good and chunky with mash and gravy, yet peas were cold straight from the fridge.

Great pub and service is solid. Just what you need after work for a good Guinness. 😀😀
