Party of 4 that ordered meals at different times. One meal was forgotten which was no bother to us. Once we made them aware they were on the job really quickly and extremely apologetic. So much so he received a total refund from the Manager. I have NEVER received such great service and will definitely make the Union Hotel our go to place for our catch ups. Was introduced to the Union Hotel by a friend. Ordered a traditional Parma. I should asked for specifics. The Parma appeared to be cooked in beer batter as were the chips. If I ever return I will definitely ask questions. The atmosphere was conducive to having a discussion over dinner.

Ordered pork belly that cost me $34 a the chef decided to dish me up 3 little bite size pieces. I assumed that it was an entree but no it was a main. Absolutely disgusted by this money scaming meal.

Went with some friends for a catch up and a meal. Was surprised how quiet it was, considering the footy was on and it was Thursday nights $23 steak specials. Being 'steak night' I got a porterhouse steak with chips and veg. The veggies were nice, the chips tasted like they had been recooked and the steak, alhough cooked medium rare perfectly, was very tough. The staff were pleasant and service was good. Would I go back for a steak here again???

Great Thur steak night for peanuts. Succulent and generous 300g porterhouse with crispy beer batter chips. Extra $2 for yummy mash. Great value pint too. My go-to cheap but quality Thur steak.

Good pub. Quintessential Aussie pub! Good atmosphere. Different areas in the pub- beer garden, sports pub etc. Great service too.

I rarely share Pub food reviews as it's comes from the same primordial pub slop but their $22 steak night is absolutely smacking. The Red Wine Jus divine, Steak cooked as I asked, fries were crispy, fresh and well seasoned. It's been a while since I went out for a steak and felt like I could easily demolish another one. Not due to portion sizes but because it was so darn tasty. Will be returning pretty much every Thursday until I either get heart disease or become a Vegan. Lets go.

Nothing to complain about. Clean, food was good. Chips were great and service staff were friendly. Sports on TV so good place to chill and watch the game.

I had my engagement party last Saturday night and it was terrific. They were great at communicating all the way through, extremely helpful upon arrival and everything worked out great. The space was set up just how I wanted, plus the food and service was awesome. No one left hungry or spent too long waiting for a drink. 10/10 - I highly recommend!

Decent food and good atmosphere.
There is a tram that runs directly outside however if you're driving, parking options are sparse without incurring some form of cost or for that matter finding anywhere that is not permit only.
That said, the staff here are really friendly and provide really quick and efficient service at decent prices.

Chips clearly old and re-freshed and pizza bought in the frozen section and covered with cheap cheese and oil. Terrible quality food. Get a new cook. Front of house staff pleasant.

Unfortunately my experience was unpleasant. Ordered fish and chips, one tiny piece of fish cut into three bits. I couldn't even see the chips underneath the fish. My meal was just warm and looked like a childs meal size. Disappointing visit.

We celebrated our 2022 family Christmas party at the Union hotel in our own private area 'The Other bar' today. Management Mark and Kathryn were so accomodating to our large group booking of 70 people. We enjoyed a 2 course set menu which was lovely. Great service and staff very friendly and helpful. We have already locked in next years Christmas party. Thank you so much!

decent bar. foods pretty good and the drinks are typically priced. place is clean and staff are friendly. one suggestion would be to turn down the music a little bit, especially in the courtyard

Went here for their steak night. Whilst the ambiance at the beer garden was wonderful, the service and meals served were not overtly spectacular. The bartender spilled my drink but did not offer to refill what has been spilled and the steak (we requested for medium-rare) was really well-done. The drinks were also on the pricier side despite the good value of the steak night meal.

We had a 21st party in the 'Other Bar'. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The food was sensational, the staff were all brilliant, and everything went really smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommended party venue with a great feel.

Pork belly rind was not crispy???" but otherwise a good dish with lovely crispy tangy apples and generous amount of red cabbage 4/5

Pork belly bites were a little dry for Nasi Goreng Bowl but it was of a very generous serving. Crunchy fresh lettuce and sweet carrots, fragrant satay sauce and great fried egg. 4/5

I was very disappointed with my $32 Yellowfin Tuna, it was a bit tough and sinewy. My partner really enjoyed his 'surf n turf' special though. Ambience, service and cleanliness was very good.

Came in the other week for a few beers with mates, had a really helpful bartender named Will , really friendly and overall great service.

The smoked half chicken dish is a knock-out corn puree and Kale chips with a housemade sauce moist and flavoursome

This is a good place for a pub meal. I recommend it. The food was great. Cooked right and hit when served. I gave it three stars because the music was way too loud and the burger a little on the dear side.
