I saw this place on Sydney Weekender and we were on a trip from Goldie to Sydney. We stopped here for a late lunch and we were not disappointed the meals were delicious and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place for excellent pub food.

Pay at the counter and meals brought to your table style service. The toilet entry is out from the dining area and timber floors make the dining room a bit noisy. Meals were great pub meals, parking was plenty and the place is easy to find across from the train station.

My husband & I had lunch there today. I had the duck pie & he had scotch fillet & both meals were absolutely delicious.
The pub has a cosy casual feel which we enjoyed.
We will definitely be returning & might suggest our next family catchup to happen there!

Wow, what a hidden gem. Seems to be renovated recently in both the accommodation side and pub side.
Great vibes from the staff both bar and kitchen.
The location of the pool table is a bit cramped especially being outside the men's bathroom but very glad they had one.

The food is next level. Not what we expected from a small country pub, well done

Hands down one of the best pub foods I've ever eaten! The parmy- great chicken and generous chips. The salad had a delicious sauce. The Fig and Walnut Pudding was so scrumptious. With the ice cream and toffee on top *chefs kiss*. Reasonably priced and will be back for more.

Friendly staff and really good quality pub food at reasonable prices. Quite a few options for where to sit. Front sports bar, quiter area for bigger groups and an outdoor area.

Spotted this place on an afternoon walk, turned up for dinner and was given a seat near the Kitchen.

The sunset framed the building as we arrived setting the mood.

We got to meet the fabulous Author Anita Heiss while ordering food.

Pinot Duck pie was a tasty start and the Dessert tasting plate finished off a lovely evening of food and conversation.

Order at the bar, seats are spacious and a big table for larger numbers was available.

Great pub really working the vibe. No music on when I was there...I would have thought booking a 3 piece would be par for the course for this place but it seems they focus on bigger events. Open mic Friday though, so they totally support locals.
Cocktails 2 for $25 was amazing as they are proper cocktails. Food was done well, but I should have stuck with the pub classics...amazingly priced at 25 bucks.
Great selection of local wines as well.
Star of the show are the desserts.
Room was clean and well appointed.
Overall recommended, especially if live music is on.

Great food, we had the steak and barramundi. Well cooked, delicious and good portion size. They were delivered quickly, can't fault anything really. Nice atmosphere, has outdoor seating area and great service as well - staff were very friendly and happy to chat with you. Will be back on next trip here.

The staff are friendly and helpful.
The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Great pub fare and the beer garden out the back is just the best place for a meal and a couple of beers.
They have entertainment some nights. It is popular with the locals and I can understand why.

The rooms and check in were nice and easy. How the staff treat you in when you're sitting at a table that isn't booked for another 2 hours is a different story. Unprofessional behaviour

I just had a brilliant birthday dinner at the Vic. The food is always great, and I was surprised at how quick it was even in a big group on a very busy night. Staff are lovely, place is nice.

Great place to stay for a night or two. Beautifully renovated and near the station so you're not right in the main drag but close to the centre and the local brewery as well. I'm not a massive fan of shared bathrooms but they were regularly cleaned and spotless when we used them. The only thing I would say was I had a bit of a dermatological reaction to the bed sheets. I have *extremely* sensitive skin so not really unexpected but it's been a while since I've had a reaction in a hotel. However, they also accommodated a later checkout with no extra charge which gave me a chance to lie in after an itchy night ?

Gotta love a pub that not only has the traditional pub meals but a great selection of alternate meals that entice the taste buds to experiment more. From the moment we walked in the young bloke at the bar was extremely kind and helpful. I loved the fact that the kitchen was open given we were having a late lunch/early dinner.
The menu was amazing with so many choices. I selected the Duck & Pinot Pie - WOW. This dish was amazing. My daughter stuck to a traditional Schnitty and that was also fresh and delicious.
The environment was clean and comfortable and was very glad to have stopped here for something before driving back to Sydney.

Go here regularly for a drink and occasional meal. Staff are attentive. Food is very good. Cannot comment on the rooms as I haven't seen them. The Backyard is a great spot especially when they have music in summer. The pub can get noisy when it is busy.

We stopped in on our way to orange as we are moving for work. It was a Tuesday night so not real busy but still steady enough to see that it's a popular spot. Loved the live music adverts all over the walls for events, we we're definitely interested in this. As far as the food goes it was average. The roast beef special was supper dry, great gravy and veggies though and the Yorkshire pudding was fluffy which was a win. The duck and Pinot pie was short on flavour, which was a huge let down as duck is such a flavoursome meat. Overall very hohum. On the other hand service was great and wine choice was good.

A great place for a quick hydration session, and a good little feed. Food can be slow when they are busy, but worth the wait. Great happy hour (1500-1800) and good selection of beers on tap.

They accommodated our 11 people party without a booking on a Friday night :) We had just arrived travelling and were greeted with friendly service and a great feed. Food was ready very quick and was delicious!! Definitely recommend, thanks to the team working Friday 5th May :) much appreciated!! we will be back

This place is really lovely - I loved my room and it had everything I needed to feel comfortable. Easy process of retrieving your room key from reception upstairs, and a bar and food downstairs with room service! Also close proximity to the station.

P.S. I'm 21 and this was my first time ever travelling/staying somewhere without somebody with me, so I was a bit scared, but I felt so at home here ??'-

The Victoria Bathurst is a pet friendly pub. The meals were really good and reasonably price. Staff were great and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Has a nice garden where you can enjoy a meal or drink and have your dog ? with you. The main menu is a bit on the pricier side, but they do budget meals at $22 as well. We ordered the 180gr Sirloin Steak with sauce, chips, and green leaves. We ordered the steak to be medium to well done, but in hindsight, we should have ordered medium as the steak, only being 180gr, is quite thin, so at medium to well it was overcooked. The chips were superb. It's not a bad venue.

Excellent value. Big clean modern rooms. Very thoughtfully appointed and great staff. Throw in a pub downstairs with a beer garden and tasty food and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. 5?. Highly recommend

Nice selection of beer on tap but no Tooheys Old (at all), even though there is a poster in the dining room. Sweet potato fries with truffle mayo/aioli were a good snack and well received. Live music in the beer garden was a nice way to relax on a Sunday afternoon (beer only cost me $5 so I think there is a happy hour but I didn't ask). 4 stars for no Tooheys Old.

Had a recent wonderful weekend stay at The Victoria. Both Louise & Amanda had such welcoming smiles. They helped with an early check in, got our rooms ready and accommodated some last minute changes. The rooms were really clean and tidy. Better than any motel that we have ever tried. Very convenient location to wander into town. Food at the restaurant was great & happy hour unbelievable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the place.

Perfect from start to finish! My father and I visit Bathurst once a year for the Bathurst 1000, I don't know why we never found this place before! Everything from our starters, mains, sides and the most incredible pudding for dessert were all delicious! The staff were very warm, inviting and calm. The service was very quick and efficient, we didn't even notice a wait time. Everything came out in an even and steady pace. Nothing to fault. We will definitely be back, thank you for having us :)

Very friendly and welcoming staff, really nicely renovated with lots of fun style and artwork. The nicest and cleanest communal bathrooms I've ever seen. Dinner was great too, loved the burgers. Would highly recommend.

We were here for a late Saturday pub lunch. We all enjoyed the food. It was a cut above your typical pub food. We ate from the $22 menu list.

It wasn't crowded while we were there, but there were enough to make a good atmosphere.

Amazing hotel! The accommodation at The Victoria was perfect for us with the kids (who were so excited they had their own single beds). The family room was larger than we expected, bathrooms were immaculate, beds were comfy (lots of extra blankets available) and the place was pristine. Easy parking right outside and no late night interruptions.

The food was delicious, fast from the kitchen with large servings for the kids. Lots of local beers and wine to choose from with friendly service. Happy hour was a highlight. Thank you for a fantastic stay, we will certainly return.

Funky decor, great place for live and local music in the dog friendly backyard. Looking forward to visiting "Little Albert's" music venue there.

Bit of a funny place. The outside does match the inside. Quite trendy inside. Dinner was good. Steak wasn't fabulous. Pavlova was great and huge.

The service was excellent the owner who serve us drinks took the time to remember what we drank.
When we had an issue with our meal she was only too happy to help to our satisfaction.
We had a lovely meal and superb desert.

Stayed here overnight. Really great hotel that's excellent value. It's clearly been taken over by some switched on (youngish) people with good taste. A steal for the price. Didn't eat downstairs but the food looked good from what I saw.

The renovation on this Hotel best I've seen for Rooms and great value @ $80.00 per night. Shared bathroom & one person at a time ...fully renovated too. Happy hour as well, 3- 6 p.m. $5.00 beers... innovative menu for a pub, good value & looks delish, but ran out of time to eat. Next visit.
