Our first negative review, but unfortunately, it had to be done. We chose this pub based on the reviews and wanted to support local businesses.

Upon arrival, the exterior didn't seem very inviting, but we ordered two dishes (beef schnitzel and salt and pepper squid). The beef schnitzel arrived completely burnt, and while the squid itself was decent, the only piece I tried tasted like it had been cooked in oil that hadn't been changed for weeks.

We felt really bad about complaining, but there was no other choice. We were refunded for the schnitzel, but the salt and pepper squid was 'too popular' to be refunded. No big deal. We ended our night with great food at the Whales Hotel - good meals, good service, and goos prices.

Renovations still need a little work but the service and pricing is awesome. Best bottleo in town!

Had fish and chips here. Great pub food and vibe. Staffs were friendly. Plenty of space in the bar and dining area.

Great little Hotel, friendly staff, great meals, Chef brought out a Freddo Frog for each of the kids, the waitress gave the kids colouring sheets and pencils while waiting for meals.

Great food and service. Pub in the middle of renovations but that is not an issue.
Pity we won't be here to see the end result.

Place is under renovation but don't let that fool you, the food is excellent! Im always happy when your steak is cooked as specified and the sides were quite good too. Very nice meal had by all.
